Bad experience… They blamed for not giving my apartment number when I order food for delivery, what I obviously did when I ordered in seamless but whatever. And the best of all, I ordered a blueberry muffin with my salad(a create your own salad which what correct) and received… Well, a small bag of pop corn with a slice of bread and a tiny piece of brownie on top of the slice of bread. I am not kidding. Hilarious and unreal but also my last order with them.

Ordered the California dream wrap on seamless for lunch on a Tuesday and YUM-O. Not only did it get here in record time during lunch hours but it was delicious. The Roast Turkey was a thick cut, not some deli slice. the Avocado, Sprouts, Tomato and Goat Cheese were fresh and there wasn’t too much Mayo. Little pricey for a wrap but it is FiDi area so to be expected.

The service was crappy. I stopped by around 12pm, and would like to have a lunch combo — half sandwich and a small soup. I told the cashier lady my order and she asked me to order my sandwich directly from the sandwich man. There was no one ahead of me. But the man was too busy with his online orders, and it took me literally 10 minutes to have mine ready. I took the box to the cashier lady, and she was like, oh did you order a full sandwich? And she opened the box, and it was a full. How could I know?! I told the man I would like a half. But he seemed to be half-minded. Then the lady gave me a look as if I was cheating. The only comfort of this lunch experience was that the tuna sandwich was somewhat satisfying. But I would NEVER ever buy lunch here again.

Seriously one of the best sandwiches in town. Roast beef with pickled red onions, roasted tomatoes, cheese and horseradish aioli… HEAVEN. The staff there are so friendly. I love the vibe in the place. It’s easy to pass by this place. I actually went in on a whim one day looking for something different. And I’ll never forget it. There bread is super fresh and amazing. I think some better signs outside would draw more people in. Totally try it out if you’re near by.

I come around this part of town couple times a week and started ordering from this place, all the food is great but my favorite so far is the skirt steak and truffle fries. The steak is perfectly cooked and seasoned and the fries are soooo good. Seasoned very well and of course the truffle, can’t go wrong with that. I also got the greek salad yesterday which was so surprisingly good! It had cherry tomatoes and real authentic greek feta cheese(not the cheap stuff people usually use) I’m greek so I know that getting a decent greek salad from anywhere is not happening, this place made it just rght! Love them!

Fuego is awesome and my go to pananinni on a regular basis. Best Skirt Steak and Fries I’ve had in a long time. It’s surprising the quality that comes out of this place. I asked them what’s up with the pizza and they said there are new owners and they cut the Pizza. They should change the sign outside already, they have much better food than pizza.

This is just for the lunch soup & half-sandwich special for $ 6.95 Came here last week craving soup and settled on butternut squash after tasting it. As I got ready to order, I saw the special & realized it was much better to turn it to a meal for $ 2 more! Went classic by way of ham & cheese– slightly heated(nice sandwich guy was able to accommodate the request) and paired with a soup that would be considered large anywhere else. Coming back to the office, I was dragged into a meeting but my oh my! My sandwich was still DELICIOUS2 hours later. Minus the bread getting a bit harder, the flavor and meat to topping/bread capacity was perfect. Soup was wonderful as well– very thick(if you’re a fan of bisque… anything) and tasty although I would’ve loved if it had a tiny more flavor. Happy noises were made for the next 10 minutes!

I live nearby and this is my favorite place to order delivery. It looks like very nondescript from the outside, and it took me a really long time to finally realize this place is where my fiancée and I order from and love. Don’t pass by and ignore! The specialty salads are amazing and super fresh. One of my favorite is the Cali salad with apples and walnuts and other stuff. The difference is when you order this, the place actually cuts up an apple just for you instead of having a bunch of pre-cut apples sitting around. You can really taste the difference. The chicken loco sandwich is very yummy too. I like spicy and it comes with a bunch of peppers. The owner is often around manning the shop and is super nice. One time I forgot my loyalty card and he gave me an extra punch. Made me very happy!

Café 41 is a friendly neighborhood deli that’s good for anyone who lives or works in the immediate area of 41 John Street, but not worth walking out of your way to visit. I bought a hero with smoked turkey, avocado, bacon bits, and lettuce and tomato. The guy behind the counter asked if I wanted it heated and I said no – I hate lettuce and tomato when they’re cooked – but asked if he could heat the bacon. He kind of looked at me like he had no idea what I was talking about, so I decide to just go with what they gave me. The hero wasn’t bad, and the creamy avocado and salty bacon were nice additions to the smoked turkey(they don’t cut their own but pull out wrapped slices of pre-cut meat). It just wasn’t so good that I’d walk from Church Street to this place for lunch when there are a dozen other places like it so much closer. In summation, if you need to make a quick food run and are a short dash from this deli, go for it. If you’re further away, find someplace else.

Great selection of food. All nicely organized. Staff is pleasant for the most part. Good lunch deals too. $ 6.95 for a panini & bag of UTZ chips. Only negative is, they take FOREVER to toast the paninis. They go to the back kitchen to warm them up and it seems like they kind forget about it until they see you standing there or if you bring it up. I kind of wish they had a toaster right up front. This would speed this process up. I even called it in, but even when I got there it took them a while to bring it out. Otherwise, its a great deli!

I was not very familiar with this establishment, but decided to give them a try since it was listed/rated on seamless as a good place with just one $ sign and there was a 20% discount. I liked that there was a pretty healthy option of grilled seasoned chicken with sautéed spinach and brown rice, for just about $ 11(after discount). Not too shabby! So I go to pick it up. Walked past it at first, then had to retrace by address and voila. The entrance was somewhat obscured by the construction awnings. And what do you know? The place was full of, or at least a bunch of construction workers were in and out for their lunch hour. I’m not judging on what that means, but just sharing an observation. May be it was the just before noon timing? The lady at the counter was quite nice, had my order ready and wished me to enjoy my meal! Oh and if you check in on Unilocal, there’s a special offer! So don’t forget to Unilocal check-in people! So that was enough excitement as I got to my office desk to open up my container of a meal. I won’t lie. I was disappointed. I had high hopes. But alas. The chicken was very very very dry. I’m not a big fan of chicken breast to begin with, but this one was just carton paper. It actually had acute angles of meat that you can poke someone’s eye with. The spinach was spinach, but it had some old dark spinach pieces that made it look kind of not pretty. Think black against bright green. Would you eat it? Unfortunately I opted to. I was hungry, I needed my nutrients and I already spent $ 11 bucks. At the bottom of my dish, was what I hope was just the water/oils from the spinach. I was surprised to see the oils, especially since it was the last impression of this meal, which I will never get again. Chances are I will never use this place again, no matter what the discount. Meh…on to others.

There’s probably nothing in the world more confidence-shaking in an eatery than an inability to get a sandwich right. The panini and smokey wrap I got from Café 41 were both not only unappetizingly soggy, but made me feel somewhat sick. If you’re looking for a good sandwich, Lenny’s is an infinitely better bet.

The best platter I’ve had from this little nyc gem is the herb chicken, spinach and brown rice platter — it’s mad good, finally something that actually tastes as good as it looks. The platter is in large portion, and I was told that you can actually call to order first, and pick up later to save time. I will definitely go back again to and try the rest of the menu. Cheers!

I was surprised. The half sandwich and cup of soup deal is awesome. The sandwich was alright, but the clam chowder was bomb. Better than patucia which used to be here

I randomly found this place during a recent trip to New York. All the food is freshly prepared and looks and smells delicious. I opted for the Cajun Pollo Panini; it was really, really good. My friend had the Penne alla Vodka which he really liked, too. Service was fast and highly professional. I would highly recommend Café 41 to anyone who’s looking for high quality food at affordable prices.

Café 41 is a cute, friendly neighborhood joint. Tried tonight for the first time on my way home from class. The food is great, it’s open late and I love that they have so many veggie options! Highly recommend it.
