Most affordable grocery store in the area. While it does not feature the best selection of products, for someone on a budget the quality is decent and definitely lower priced than the grocery store on 110 and Manhattan Ave. The aisles are narrow and very tall but the staff is friendly and willing to help reach top shelves.

When lazy I just go here. It is just a block away, but when I need fresh and good food I travel elsewhere. You see, my problem with this supermarket is, I had a few problems with their products. For instance, I had bought cheese a few times from here and when I brought it home it had mold. Then, the produce is not fresh at all. I don’t really trust this supermarket for my groceries unless I am lazy and don’t feel like walking to some of my other spots. If you are looking for cheap deals then here is your spot.

We shopped here while we were staying in New York for Alternative Break to get groceries during spring break. Man. It’s definitely different from suburban shopping. Not only because of the teeny-ness of this«super“market, but also because of those dang city prices.(I always forget about those.) The aisles are very small. Very very narrow. There is some intense human Tetris that goes down when 2 people come from opposite directions through one aisle. The selection isn’t great, but it is cheaper than Gristedes. Not a lot of great fresh produce, though. Gets the job done, you may need to touch other people.

This is pretty decent grocery store in my hood. It’s not a gourmet market by any means, but you can find all your grocery and produce staples here for reasonable prices and the occasional«specialty» food items. I wish they had a deli counter and offered smaller sizes for some things like sour cream(a single gal can only use so much of that stuff-ya know?). The staff is friendly, but make sure you check your receipt because I think they overcharged me for a few items that were supposed to be on sale. Nevertheless, the sales they do offer are pretty good – I bought organic soy milk here only b/c it was on sale… and now I’m hooked for life. I never thought I’d see the day where organic and soy would become a part of my diet – Thanks Bravo!

Thank god I don’t have to go to Whole Foods(or «Whole Paycheck» as my grandmother says. I always have to say this, yes). This place is fairly small for a grocer, frequently crowded, and I find myself fighting to get through aisles. But it’s small because it’s cheap, it’s crowded because it’s cheap, and I’ll fight and squeeze my way in and out of there because its cheap.

It smells like dead mice and the produce is often pale or misshapen but you won’t find cheaper staples and pantry fillers anywhere else. Bravo also offers a wide selection of household cleaning and laundry products. For example, were you aware that Tide has a rose and vanilla scented liquid detergent in their«Simple Pleasures» lineup and that Snuggle offers a hazelnut and milk fragranced fabric softener? And did you know that you can mop your floor with a bright pink solution that smells like fresh baby diapers(offered as Misterol Baby Room All-Purpose Cleanser)? Heaven.

This is the only supermarket I have found in the neighborhood that has reasonable prices — far better than the upscale organic supermarkets on Broadway and Central Park West. Meat quality is good; produce quality is fair. Generally, food selection is excellent. It’s a bit on the dingy side, but as I said, this place isn’t catering to the rich folk.
