Really enjoyed my latte. Wasn’t too watered down with the milk; was still able to taste the coffee flavor. Customer service was really wonderful too. It’s located on the 3rd floor of the very fancy Time Warner building. Though, seating is limited. Pastries look amazing, too! I will have to go back to try them!

Came here 3 years later and the tables and chairs situation is still the same. They don’t put enough chairs out there and everyone is still hogging up the seats. This older man saved three 3 seats when I asked if I could take one. He said that they were all taken. One by his wife and the other by his shopping bag! Another table was saved by this guy who took 5 chairs for his family. They were still empty an hour later.

I love everything about this place I love! The food, the view, the drinks, coffee(which I normally don’t drink), the service. To sum up in one word — PERFECTION! It’s located on 3rd floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle with a great view of southwest corner of Central Park. No reservation needed during late lunch time. We got there ~3pm, got seated fast and ordered coffee and prosecco. They have good selection of wines and other drinks. That prosecco was soooo gooood. I buying a bottle. We got fresh baked bread: white and whole wheat with butter to start with. And our main courses came. My boyfriend got Ham and Cheese sandwich. Fresh and crispy baguette wit parisian-style ham and Emmenthaler. It came with a side salad. It took me a while to decide what I want as everything on the menu looks amazing. Finally I went with Salmon Salad and it was great choice!!! It was delicious with quinoa, hazelnuts and vegies. Salmon was perfectly made — soft and delicate inside with crispy top(my boyfriend loved it too). I would go back there just to have it once again. We will definitely go back! And you should go there too!

Great service, good view, fantastic coffee. I ended up getting the chicken and waffles which were the special for brunch. It wasn’t really what I had expected — but not their fault — I’m used to battered and fried chicken and waffles so my expectations were different. But that aside, everything was fantastic. Nice spot for brunch!

We ordered prosciutto board and Croque Madame. They were yummy! Great posh vibe with good lighting. They were very busy during their lunch hours, but service was prompt. Food was well executed with pretty plating. For the type of food you are paying for it is a bit overpriced but the ambience made it worth it.

I really wanted to try this place since I be have been doing most of the midtown bakeries with the difference with this one was that it is located inside an up scale Time Warner Center Mall at Columbus Circle. Yet ironically I wasn’t sure as to what to get and I figure that I will make up my mind once I actually got to see the what they have in their display cases. Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery started in Yountville and offers a variety of French breakfast pastries, cookies, macarons, and even several kinds of breads and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. And of coarse hot and ice coffees and drinks. This place is a hidden on the top floor floor of the mall. Bouchon is really two places, you first have the sit down open restaurant in the middle of the floor with only an elbow high partition bordering it off. With the Columbus Circle views and the look down to the rest of the mall on the front side which has the cathedral ceiling and class all the way to the top But then to the left side around the corner you have the bakery, which I overlooked the first time I ever came to this this mall. The bakery section also has a few stools and tables but no table service. Some people use this area just to sit and relax since the mall has no sitting spots on this floor for the shoppers and tourist. Well finally I get to the reason I came here and after looking at the display cases their were a few things I wanted but I did not want to overdue it. I saw cookies like the famous TKO Oreo cookie, colorful macarons, Pain au Raisin, Croissant, Eclairs to name a few. The number of items where less than I see at Maison Kayser or Paris Baguette. I saw this chocolate doughnut with some large crusty chucks of stuff on top that I did not know what it was so I asked for it and a Danish like pastry with an open top, filled with some kind of cream. Many of the items in the display cases were not labeled the I server that was helping must have been new because he did not know what many of the items were named. They put my doughnut and the cream pastry in a nice Bouchon box and a little shopping bag to trance around the mall with. Let me just say that when you want to charge up scale prices for what you are selling, then you need to give a nice box and or bag, in order to threat your customers special the same way you want to sell yours items for special in price. Well the chocolate doughnut was good it was just like a chocolate Dunkin doughnut, light and tasty with the exception on the crusty chucks of what tasted like lite airy malted coco chuck crumbs on top for 4 times the price of one Dunkin doughnut. I think I ate the whole top and thew the rest away, my bad ;-(But I have been stuffing my face all day and I need to save space for that cream pastry. The pastry was real flaky you can tell the dough was made of of many buttery layers and the cream in the middle was a cross between butter cream and cream cheese. I sliced it in haft the the center was all cream almost the size of a small baseball. None of this went to waste like the doughnut I ate this one completely. Bouchon was OK, The staff was stepping over each other attending to me. I will go back but 59th West is my boarder line point of walking in midtown so it will have to be that I am near 59th Street for me to come back and maybe I will try the restaurant next time to see what that about since I hear that West Cost Unilocalers say they would drive two hours to go to Bouchon over there.

This place is a hidden gem on the top floor of the mall, even if the café area is congested. After much anticipation, I really wanted to try this place, yet ironically I wasn’t sure what to get once I actually got to the display window. Sure, the oversized macarons were trying to elude me, but I didn’t want a sugar-bomb per se(Keller pun?). Upon asking for something refined while in low-sugar territory, I went with what the(dressed to the 9’s) cashier recommended – The PB&C. Plus I got a skim latte. Service was slow but nice. The latte was one of the best lattes I’ve had in a great while. No bitter residual burnt Starbucks flavor. Plenty of bean crema. Bolder than Maison Kaiser across the street – enough to hold up to chocolate sweets. So as for the PB&C, it’s definitely an adult’s version of Nutter Butter, plus chocolate thrown in. So delicious… the cookies sandwiching the filling have bits of chocolate & peanut thrown in the batter. The outer rim filling is semi-sweet chocolate ganache, and the center is a peanut-butter cream. The filling is barely sweet, and the sweetness from the cookies bring it all together. The cookies themselves are the softer variety, but still pretty dense, and the crumb is crisp(if that makes sense). Yeah, their recipe is unique; although I’m not a conventional cookie fan, I’d definitely like to know how to make their version. Did I mention the view? It’s pretty spectacular, especially around sundown. The sit-down restaurant area seems romantic and worth trying. My only issue is the sitting area in front of the café is congested/cramped. But ideally as with any café, it’s not sacrilegious to do take-out to another floor where there’s more room to sit and enjoy(ex: whole foods on bottom floor).

Semi-pissed that they wouldn’t take my amex platinum 25% voucher. Cobb salad was mediocre, but the bacon bits in there were so wonderful. Not sure if they have frisee aux lardon on their dinner menu but if they do it must be fantastic. Cappuccino is overly foamy, and the nutter better is nothing but whipped PB buttercreme stashed between oily crumbly PB cookies.

We stopped in to this Bouchon for coffee this morning. I must say it was pretty good coffee. The medium is $ 2.75 plus tax for regular coffee. It’s a good size cup to go with a pastry. I took some photos of the pastries. I knew I was headed for a big lunch so I didn’t partake of the goodies today. I intend to go back when I hang out at the mall. The line was long. I do feel they should have a quick serve line for folks that just want coffee. It’s also hard to find a seat. I like to sit down to savor my cup of coffee. I’m not a drink on the go person! It was a pleasant enough experience that I will return. I’ll go during the week and early when they open to see if I have a smoother experience. The pastries did look very inviting and reasonably priced for the neighborhood!

This review is for the sit-down café area. My boyfriend and I came here after I finished running a half-marathon in Central Park. I was super-hungry and so ready for brunch. My boyfriend was on his way to the train station afterwards. So both of us were dressed in relaxed clothes, had some bags with us, and I had no makeup on and my hair was up in a quick bun. I definitely felt some judge-y looks from the waitstaff based on how we were dressed. Not only that, the service was really slow and the food wasn’t that good. I walked by the bakery part on my way to the bathroom to wash my hands and saw many items there that were also on the café menu, but for half the price! Both café and bakery use the same kitchen. There are self-serve tables for the bakery section right next to the café section. Based on my experience, save yourself half your money and skip the sit-down section. The wait service doesn’t add anything to your dining experience– if anything, you’ll be paying twice as much for a worst experience!

As I was coming up the escalator at the Time Warner Center on my way to a lunch at Bouchon Bakery I spotted a super appetizing picture of a ham and cheese sandwich and resolved to have it. Everything was going great — nicely chilled white wine, polite service, relaxed atmosphere… Then my sandwich was brought out. To say I was disappointed is not to say anything at all. I have attached a compare and contrast picture of the sandwich to this review: the top part is what my actual sandwich looked like and the bottom is how it is advertised. Looks like my sandwich was missing about 7 ham slices and at least 4 cheese slices. There was no pickle either. Disappointing and unsatisfying lunch experience. Something like this, in my opinion, is not acceptable for a Thomas Keller establishment.

Came here specifically to try the TKO and the Better Nutter cookies. They were both better than I expected! The Better Nutter… what can I say, the inside was so smooth and creamy, but not that thick peanut butter creamy, it was perfection! The TKO was delicious too… but that Better Nutter tho… can’t stop thinking about it! The line went by pretty quickly so no complaint there :)

This review is for the single macaron I was given to try last weekend during Macaron Day 2016… and all four of those stars are for that lil’ mac. The super smiley guy behind the counter handed out Cookies & Cream macarons — super dark blackish blue shell with white filling — so so good! Everything you love about ‘cookies and cream’ wrapped up in a little pasty — it was among my favorites of the day for sure.

The review is only for the little standing-room-only bakery off to the side of the café. Although the chocolate soufflé intrigued my soul, I was also hankering for soup dumplings(priorities, you know), and so we joined the long line of people jostling for Thomas Keller’s(baked) goods. By the way, a TKO at Bouchon is not a Technical Knockout but a Thomas Keller Oreo. Which I did not get and slightly regret. What I did get: the better nutter cookie. Listen, I am loyal to my favorite cookies. Exhibit A: Zaro’s chocolate chip cookie. I had to choose a different path to my subway because the path I used to take would somehow, magically lead me to the Zaro’s stall in Grand Central Market, where the perfect tollhouse cookie awaited. Sad was the day that I pushed myself to just walk right past. Exhibit B: Levain’s chocolate chip and walnut cookie. I maintain that they are far too large for a mortal to eat in one sitting, but there’s no disputing their golden status. The better nutter cookie is now my favorite. As a diehard peanut butter fanatic, I can’t say no to two perfect peanut butter cookies sandwiching a giant glob of peanut butter crème. The cookies were chewy but packed with peanut bits and chunks. I could(and will) eat one by myself. I also bought a CCC, but given the transcendent daze I was in by the time the last crumbs of the better nutter was wiped from my mouth(oh, and soup dumplings), I stuck it into the freezer for a later time. Thomas Keller, you’re amazing and I worship you and if I had an amazing high-tech kitchen, I would make every one of your recipes and hashtag it #thomaskellerlovesme. NEXTTIME: macarons, croissant, definitely the TKO

Little bakery in the Time Warner building. Good spot to grab a cup of coffee and sweet treat if you’re in the building or doing some shopping. We shared a stuffed oreo cookie and I had the hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was good, but severely overpriced for the size of the cup. Crowded seating area. Not just a bakery, they have some pre-packaged sandwiches available as well. I was underwhelmed, I think there are far better bakeries.

This was… not… good??? Maybe I missed something, but I stopped by the coffee-and-bakery side of Bouchon just to be greeted by incredibly dirty tables, blasé staff, a dry crusty croissant, and tooooo rich/sugary/way overpriced hot chocolate. My friend ordered a cannelle, which was heavily burnt. Yes, it’s a great location overlooking Columbus Circle, but that’s… it. Their savory items /macarons seem to be the way to go, so maybe next time.

I’m a big fan of Bouchon but I think the tourist-hype of the famed Tom Keller bakery and over saturated consumer base has turned this great bakery into a Starbuckser. In terms of the café, the food is quite excellent for the price, but please do not expect the same quality or service as Bouchon in Beverly Hills or Las Vegas.

Huge line, but what else can you expect for one of Thomas Keller’s bakeries in Columbus Circle? I tried a set of their macarons(bit hefty priced at 6 for $ 16). They are definitely on the sweet side. Pistachio was under powered — my favorite was the salted caramel. Croissant was super flaky and delicious.

Another AMAZING Bouchon Bakery! If you want one of their many popular desserts… such as the wide variety of macaroons or chocolate almond crossiants… you need to arrive early. It’s ideal if you’re in the area but I wouldn’t trek it or go out of my way to Come here. Staff aren’t friendly. Hostess tonight was short and not welcoming. Perhaps it was because it was 1 hour before close. Oh well. We opted to just get dessert. I would recommend the tko cookie. It was like a fancier Oreo cookie but it’s not a good dipping cookie because the frosting in the center is to loose.

I’m not gonna lie, for as glamorous as the Bouchon line of restaurants are, the Bakery & Café aren’t exactly in the most happenin’ spot of Manhattan(although the view of Central Park is fantastic). Regardless, I came to get their macarons at around 2pm on Sunday, and the line wasn’t terribly long, shockingly — as with any famous place, I was expecting the worst, and the employees were efficient in moving the line down. I ordered the half dozen mini macarons of the day in a box(the box is an important distinction, more in a second), 1 regular pistachio, and 1 regular caramel. These macarons are freaking good. I personally prefer the larger ones to the smaller ones since they aren’t nearly as delicate, and there’s heaps more filling on them, too. Now, the box. I might have been charged for the box that the half dozen mini macs come in. In theory I should have paid just under $ 24; I actually paid a little over $ 25 instead. There’s a chance I’m an idiot and misread the prices, and it’s only a $ 1, but you know… the principle of it all! At least I have a very nice box now.

I think the location is a nice place to chill if you need to take a seat from all the shopping you’ve just done. Located on the 3rd floor atrium atrium, it overlooks the lobby of the Time Warner building, and you can look out the glass façade at Columbus Circle. It’s really nice to see Central Park and Central Park South. I came here just for coffee and dessert with a friend from out of town, and we happened upon this place. In order to sit in the area, you have to order at least the dessert and coffee/drinks. Otherwise, there is a to-go counter on the side. Service was good. The coffee was good, with multiple refills. We tried the pudding cake, which was absolutely delicious! It’s a bit pricy for what it is, but honestly, you’re paying for the environment and location. I felt it was worth it for the 2 hours we spent chatting there. It was quite nice.

The almond chocolate croissant is the best! Generous filling but retains the airy flaky layers of a good croissant and isn’t too dense. Sit-down service for brunch was excellent. We were seated right away, the waiters were very kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. It has a great menu of classic brunch dishes as well as trendy/seasonal options. The lobster eggs benedict was perfect… the butternut squash sandwich was a great sweet and savory fall item(that herby focaccia!). Even the bread basket is impressive — adorable little rolls still warm, with a generous serving of butter and jam. The details are what makes Bouchon better than so many bakery cafes.

Visited the bakery counter in the Time Warner Center. They have a sit-down here too, but we were just looking for a quick breakfast. When we arrived around 10am, there was a line of about 10 – 15 people, but it moved pretty quick since the staff there are very organized and efficient. Menu is pretty straight forward and I thought that it was a really good assortment. We ordered: — Smoked Salmon on Brioche — delicious!!! I like more savory breakfasts so I really enjoyed it. — Blueberry Muffin — hubby said it was the best blueberry muffin he ever ate =) — Iced Coffee — very good The only downside was that it was a bit difficult finding a place to sit. This bakery is so popular that although they have a good amount of tables near the counter, it’s always filled with customers and you have to be quick and grab a table as soon as people look like they’re about to leave. Would definitely recommend people to try this place out tho!

Great customer service is what keeps their long lunch lines moving. I was impressed by just how good the team was at working their posts and accommodating every order. I had a salad and it was super fresh(romaine picked yesterday fresh). The chicken breast was hand trimmed(aka no cartilage or strange fatty pieces). The desserts will amaze! I had a tough time choosing as there were so many I wanted to try(note: My one negative comment and why I say 4 stars is that I couldn’t get a try or slice of the chocolate babka without ordering the whole loaf. I was only in town to see the pope in Central Park, so bringing in a loaf would have made me many friends… and taken up my small purse). I look forward to stopping back when in town for work.

***This Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner Center offers most of the same treats you will find at the original Yountville location; unfortunately, I found the quality at this Bouchon Bakery to be significantly below what you would find at that Northern California location*** Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery started in Yountville and offers locals and visitors the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of French breakfast pastries, cookies, macarons, and even several kinds of breads. It is incredibly popular and you will often find lines of twenty or more people waiting to get the chance to buy some of Bouchon Bakery’s baked goods like pain au chocolat, monkey bread and more. Bouchon Bakery has since expanded to other cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York, which has two locations including this one located on the third floor of the Time Warner Center. One of the great things about this Bouchon Bakery is the view you can have while enjoying your baked good or drink. The Time Warner Center sits right on Columbus Circle and the huge, clear windows offer some guests nice views of Central Park. In terms of their food offerings, this Bouchon Bakery has a wide variety of sweets and offers most of the baked goods available at the original Yountville location(with maybe the exception of the Yountville exclusive citrus pistachio brioche). This Bouchon Bakery also offers several breakfast and lunch options like sandwiches, salads and more. Just outside of this Bouchon Bakery is Bouchon Bakery Café, which offers sit-down service and more menu options like entrees as well as some of Bouchon Bistro’s signature dishes such as their Croque Madame and salmon rillettes. This open area café though is not a Bouchon Bistro and does not really offer a wide variety of hot food or ambitious plates that you can find at the Bouchon Bistro restaurants in Yountville, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. I had several things at this Bouchon Bakery including a kouign amann, a chocolate bouchon and a quiche Florentine. The kouign amann was the best. It was sweet and had a soft interior to contrast a crispy exterior. Unfortunately, it lacked the layers and flakiness of some of the country’s best kouign amann preparations like what is offered at Sycamore Kitchen in Los Angeles or the very-hard-to-beat b. Patisserie in San Francisco. The chocolate bouchon was disappointing. The chocolate bouchon is like a miniature chocolate brownie and is often dry at all Bouchon Bakrey locations since these bouchons can sit around too long. I found the chocolate bouchon here too dry and also noticed there were chunks of un-melted chocolate in the center of this brownie. The quiche Florentine had a great flavor and they offer it cold or hot. I probably should have had it cold because the heating up of this quiche released a lot of the fats and oils to make it feel a tad too greasy. It also made the eggs too moist. Still, the flavor of the quiche was satisfying and I liked the crust, which was soft and had a good flavor too. Service was good – quick and pleasant. Prices are high given the small portions. I think the kouign amann was significantly more expensive than the same and much more impressive dessert at Sycamore Kitchen. Bouchon Bakery is an okay spot for a baked good or a quick to-go breakfast or lunch. Unfortunately, the sweet and savory items here just do not measure up to some of the excellent choices that you can experience at the original Bouchon Bakery in Yountville. Because of this, I imagine there are several bakeries and cafes nearby that will provide a better overall French bakery and café experience. I am not sure what the parking situation is, but I imagine parking around here is very expensive and hard to find.

Je suis amaureux. Les Macarons et le gâteau à la banane sont extraordinaire. I recently ordered les macarons and banana mousse gâteau for a small office party, and everyone was blown away. The presentation was fabulous and très parisienne — they adorned the cake with a beautiful hand crafted dark chocolate placard with my co-workers name inscribed in white chocolate. The head of catering — Charles — was very easy to work with and informative and for the quality of their goods, I found their pricing to be beyond reasonable. I will certainly be back so I can have a tray of macarons to myself(the PB&J and Vanilla c’est génial!)
