You will end up in the hospital eating here. I got a clam chowder soup and had to go to the emergency room because of sharp stomach pains. It turns out that the soup gave me colitis. This place will get you sick and a massive hospital bill.

This place has everything you need for lunch and then some. A great deli selection, a Salad bar, hot food bar, juice bar, sushi, Korean BBQ and a café! Plenty of seating too.

Really shitty place. Don’t go here. Mess up your orders, charge you extra, total dicks about using a credit card. Piss poor service and no respect for customers. You guys lost my business for life.

I ordered the Turkey on Roll with Lettuce and Tomato, mayo. No cheese — pretty standard sandwich. I was charged 6.45 instead of 5.45. When I asked why, they said tomato was 50 cents extra. Then that would be 5.95 correct? I just paid the $ 7.02(there’s tax on top of it) and vow never to return to untrustworthy establishments. The price of their salads also went up to $ 7.95 with 1 meat, 1 cheese, and unlimited veg. Previous 5 star Review: Vast selection of hot and cold food here is the first impression I got when finding a new place for lunch around work. I was pricing out salads around the neighborhood and came across the $ 6.95 for a small here. It says 5 ingredients and I think the guy preparing it for me thought I was making a conservative selection with just one meat and I stopped at exactly 5 ingredients. It seems like you really could just order unlimited toppings — the previous customer’s bowl was loaded. Will definitely be back to test out the theory. One minor inconvenience was that it’s $ 10 minimum for credit card purchases, and the bread for my salad was very dry

This place is ridiculously more expensive than any other deli around the area. I work around the area and all my co-workers would consistently tell me not to go there because they all had negative experiences. They were right. I should’ve listened. I bought a coffee and found mold that almost looked like diarrhea in the bottom of my cup after drinking it. I really wanted to beat up the guy at the counter for offering me another coffee and not even apologizing to me. But I decided to take the diplomatic route and speak to the man. Please don’t ever buy anything from here. Unless you want to get sick. PS: I never write reviews period, but I couldn’t let this one go. Stay away from this place. Trust me. Honestly I don’t know how it’s still open.

Conveniently located across from a row of hotels and open after midnight. Polite nice staff. Does NOT accept American Express or Discover cards! But the food on the buffet seems like it had been out for hours, most of it dry tho not tasteless. There was a small group of maybe 7 guys there in the dining section, rough around the edges, talking smack amongst themselves but they didn’t bother anyone. Nothing about the food itself propels me to a three-star rating tho

I just got my morning sandwich here and found a rotten molded tomato in there(after I took a big bite of it). Goes without saying that I will not return to this place and can obviously not recommend it! Guess they well deserved their C rating they had earlier this year.

Some observations– For a while, they had a C rating. Then they removed their rating display for a while(shady) and got reinspected with an A rating. They mysteriously shut down recently for a few wks, not due to renovations or anything, and reopened(odd). When they reopened, they had a 50% off promo for the breakfast buffet & lunch buffet, so decided to give them another chance. Food was pretty good. The lunch buffet regular price was posted $ 8.50/lb. 50% off would be $ 4.25/lb. While on line to pay I noticed their scale was instead set to 4.50 and that’s what multiple customers paid. When was my turn to pay, I mentioned this to the cashier. She reacted in a confused manner & changed the scale to 4.25. .25¢ not a big deal, but in my experiences thru small-business ownership and frequent dining out, small intentional overcharges are an old trick of the trade. In my opinion there is something generally shady about the way this place is run. Food not bad, pricey.

Just went to this place. All I wanted were a few simple panini. Ones that were already pre made. Couldn’t get the cooks attention and the other employee decided that not helping me was also the way to go. I would have gotten 2 sandwiches, and probably a soup. Left with a bag of chips. Help your customers maybe next time. What a terrible place.

This place is a foodtopia. There seems to be more variety than at competing buffets within a 100 m radius. The by-weight buffet and soup counters are the best, although sushi and bibimbap can be produced on demand, just like great ideas. The corned beef is mostly fat, so you can really get your caloric bang for the buck, especially if you have sufficient bile and lipase, which I also granted five star Unilocal reviews. They usually have kelp, daikon radish, and/or kimchi soups, respectively, which is unique for the neighborhood(and delicious, if you’re into that). I’m extremely greatful for this godsend of a food source nearby my labor quarters, and anticipate coming here at a rate no less than .7 of my average rate of visit in the past 60 days.

Had to login to my inactive account just to post a review for this place. People are complaining of a grade C and I was terrified as this is a usual spot for me. As of 6÷25÷2014 the grade is an A!(Phew!) Can’t link NYC site for some reason. The food is AMAZING, my co-workers and I joke that they put crack in the food because it is simply addicting. My favorite is the soup, the selection always changes(I think chicken noodle is the only constant soup). Their soups are hearty and full so they won’t leave you with an empty stomach.(For $ 4.90 total including tax you get a large soup container which I wish was larger and a free bread thing/roll. You can also get free saltine crackers). The soups have spread like wildfire through our office from person to person, now we all get them haha! There is a $ 10 credit card minimum now(used to be $ 5) so you must pay for your soup with cash, or go to the hot food buffet and get a small container of some goodies, careful the weight really adds up quick. My usual lunch there costs between $ 8-$ 11 for a good amount of food!

Cheap alcohol, lots of seating upstairs, open 24⁄7? Okay count me in. This review isn’t for the food(Heard it’s pretty terrible and expensive) it’s for the convenient location and 24⁄7 opening. Thanks for being there for me, Blacksmith, sending you lots of love…

Hmmm where do i start… 1. The breakfast buffet isn’t covered so all types of flies and bugs are all over that 2. I found a long hair in the egg bowl 3. When you ask for a smoothie, they don’t have half the fruit you want and on top of that all their fruit looks old and dirty I do not recommend this place!

Fresh soup and a roll for around seven dollars and what a choice. The beef chilli and also the chicken noodle were delicious. You are encouraged to try before you buy with the small cups on top of the serving area. The deli counter has a vast array of hot and cold sandwiches, bagels, baguettes etc on offer at great prices. At the back of this huge place are a vast selection of buffet style main meals. You just select your container size and fill up with whatever you want. The container is priced per pound of weight.(If I remember correctly it was seven dollars, ninety nine cents per pound) Great value and everything was very fresh. Busy with workers and tourists alike. There is a seating area at the back both upstairs and down; pretty basic but does the job if you don’t want a take away.

Despite the exorbitant prices I would go here frequently as they are so close to my office. Noticed the C one day and decided I should be concerned for my health so I stopped going. right now there is currently no rating posted which is illegal? Now that I look back… The food that you ate for lunch was put out at breakfast. When you ordered a fruit smoothy the fruit came directly from the salad bar? I’m saving a lot of $ now that I just bring my own food. So many risks with eating out nowadays

WARNING! This place recently got a grade of C by the NYCDEPTOFHEALTH. It was found violating 7 sanitary violations of which 5 were major ones. Contaminated food, presence of live animals in food, etc. You have to really try to get a rating of C and that is all that needs to be said. I am glad I never ate there but wish to save others from sickness, yuck…

My first trip here wasn’t bad, but this time it’s a rip off! Cons: NO price marking on the drinks section. NO receipts given after payment with cash… can someone say ripoff X hundred? Pros: Variety of food including what you see in a regular deli(subs, sandwiches, and wraps), food and salad buffet, Korean and Japanese as well. I ordered the combo special(half a sandwich and small soup-$ 6.99). Thinking that I will be thirsty, I grabbed a Tropicana OJ but SINCETHEREWASN’T ANYPRICESTICKERSAROOOOUND, I resorted to asking the middle-aged Asian lady behind the counter. She SAID $ 2.50. So $ 7 and $ 2.50 should be $ 9.50 and the TOTALPAYMENTSHOULDBEAROUND $ 10 plus $ 1-$ 2 tax! HEREISTHETHINGTHATMAKESMYBLOODBOIL: SHECHARGEDME $ 13.85! Almost $ 14! Unless there is a eat-in fee that they DIDN’T tell me about, I don’t see how $ 14 = $ 10-$ 11! SOCONFUSED was I that I handed her $ 11 and then she tapped on the glass covering the cashier machine showing $ 13.85. Unfortunately for me, the people behind me were growing impatient and my hunger pangs was getting stronger. So I paid the$ 14 and asked for the receipt. She didn’t even respond or anything! So I proceeded to go upstairs but not before hearing her mutter something in Japanese under her breath. ADVICE~!!! IF you decide to go here, DOUBLE-CHECK the amount they’re charging you! TRY and get checked out by the younger, tanner looking girl that works there instead of the older lady.
