Found a dead bug on my salad! I am done with this place!

This is definitely a decent spot to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. Decent breakfast and lunch that is always quick. Nothing special though.

Bistro’s pick-two lunch special is the American dream for $ 9 after tax. Impeccable soup, fresh and flavorful burritos, friendly staff– they have my heart.

I just started working in the area and this was the FIRST place I was recommended. The place is small and the lines are long, but they are very quick and efficient so do not get discouraged(or overwhelmed)! I only have gotten the salad from here. They have 3 sizes — 16 oz, 32 oz(usually the size you get at most places), 64oz. I got the 16 oz which is only $ 5. It comes with either 1 meat and 2 veggies, or 4 veggies. Even though you are getting a small salad, they REALLY load you up on those toppings. It’s a great bang for your buck. You also get a choice of bagel chips or bread. Both are fine options, but are better on some days than others.

This is really 3.5 stars, they are a limited deli but make very good sandwiches and chopped salads. I generally get the chopped salad with unlimited vegetable for $ 9, everything is fresh and despite the long line it moves fast. I’ve also had the soup a few times but they have more cream based soups then I’d like. Staff is friendly and speak English, they work fast and move customers along. 4 stars if they looked cleaner on the inside, not fancy all but could use a facelift. No tables or dine in.

Cheap, fast, delicious. I’ve had better salads but for the price point, Bistro is everything you want for a workday lunch

This is home away from home. Seriously, it’s like having mom in the kitchen whipping up everything for you. This spot serves a wide range of food for breakfast through lunch. Custom salads, custom omelets, custom bagel orders, croissant orders, soups, fruits, panini’s sandwiches, everything. If I can think of it, most likely, they’ll have it. The staff is very kind and they always work to accommodate for me with a smile. I see everyone comes in with so many custom orders, it’s unbelievable what these guys can do. Enjoy! And don’t forget, they’re also on seamless if you want to order ahead! Always busy with catering orders too from what I’ve seen.

This place is definitely a hidden gem in the area and my go to for salads. With so many expensive lunch options around Grand Central, it feels so comforting to know that this place is around to save that hole in your wallet. This place is not big but has many options from the usual salad, sandwiches, soup, to burritos and tacos. My go to is either a medium salad or half salad and half panini. And did I mention the salad comes with unlimited toppings? That includes avocado, my friend. But to clarify, protein is limited to one but the rest is unlimited! All that for around $ 8! Where else do you find such a deal? The salad lines are a bit long during prime lunch time but it goes by really quickly. If you do not want a full salad, you can get do the half & half option where you pick two from half salad, half soup, half burrito, half panini, etc. Ever since my friend had told me about this place, I have been going almost every week because of the price and freshness. I have also recommended to multiple coworkers in the past and now they have all become regulars! Also, don’t forget to ask for their bagel chips at the cashier. I think they are home made and super good!

Best salad lunch spot in midtown east! I have tried so many other salad places that are more expensive and limit the number of toppings to just 3 – 5. Bistro is just $ 7.65(I have an additional employee discount so make sure to check if your company does) for a medium salad with UNLIMITED toppings! I usually get the spinach mix with so many toppings that they can’t even close the lid. After you select the toppings, you choose a dressing(I like sesame ginger) and can ask to get your salad chopped. The salad also comes with an option of bagel chips. Don’t forget the frequent customer card to get your 10th salad free. If you work in the area, that won’t be hard to hit.

The BEST Deli Option around. I am especially a big fan of their salad bar, See I am not a big fan of salads, Salads to me is «Food for My Food» but there are days especially Mondays when you have had«Pigged Out» over the weekend when you need to lets say Detox. That is when they come in handy. Unlimited Toppings + 1 Meat for $ 8.50 cant beat that or 2 Toppings + 1 Meat SMALL salad for $ 4.50, HINT: Eggs come under Toppings so you can go for 4 Toppings and skip meats(meatless Mondays I guess) I generally go for a Small Salad + A Cup Of Soup all for $ 8.50 Not Bad Not Bad At All. Haven’t tried their sandwiches but I see a lot flying out, will definitely try someday.

Can I give them 100 stars? I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of salad. It reminds me of food that a rabbit would eat, and it seems more of an appetizer than an actual meal. However, beach weather and parts of my flabby self makes me opt for the salad during lunch. The thing is, the trick to a yummy salad is to load it with heaps of toppings, so you forget there’s green stuff in there. However, at every deli I wrestle whether that yumminess is worth the extra $ 0.50 per topping. And this is where Bistro Caterers come in! You can choose your salad base(e.g., Kale, Spinach, Mixed Green) and then for $ 8, you get UNLIMITEDTOPPINGS. Let me reiterate, UNLIMITEDTOPPINGS. Gone are the boring salad days where every swallow is difficult, but instead are replaced with crunchy walnuts, mangos, avocado, eggs! Whatever your heart desires. Here’s to making salads fun again. TIP: If you are a JP Morgan employee you get a discount, where your salad will come out $ 7.65? TIP2: They have a punch card, every 10th salad free! TIP3: You can get free bread of BAGELCHIPS with your salad purchase when you are paying at the counter.

I literally come here almost everyday for lunch. The soups are WAY better than Hale and Hearty and much more original… lots of really spicy soups… big plus. Also, I am a creature of habit when it comes to lunch so as soon as I walk in, they start preparing my order prior to me asking for it. Ha! Love it! Great staff, good food.

The cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese here was pretty meh. While they definitely aren’t stingy with the cream cheese I hate that my bagel tasted like it had a bit of scallion cream cheese… maybe they used the same knife? My bagel also had a weird aftertaste, not sure if I just got a dud or if they are all like that. Overall, I’m sure there are better bagel options in the area.

3.5 to be exact. I am satisfied with the salads here despite, the long crazy lines during lunch hours. A very decent deli looking facility. The place is divided into sections like the soup station, salad station, sandwich station, hot beverages station, and cashiers. Selections are good enough. Since I normally only go to the salad station, this is how they do it. The 16 oz. bowl will get you 1 meat, 2 vegetables, or just 4 vegetables. I would rather get the 32 oz. or if you’re super hungry, get the 64 oz. container and you will have a choice of 1 meat, 1 cheese, and unlimited vegetables. First, grab the bowl sizes you would like and give it to the guys behind the glass. Make sure you speak louder and letting them know which ingredients you want because it gets loud in there when it is crowded. After you pick, they will ask if you would like it chopped or tossed and what sauce you would like. The guys will chop/toss it and then package it for you. You take the container to the cashiers, ask for bagel chips, pay, and enjoy! Overall, a wide variety of ingredients for your salad and prices are very reasonable for what you get. Thumbs up for a decent lunch spot. Don’t leave without any bagel chips!!!

this place offers good value for the money. Large selection of soups. Their salad lines and burrito lines are usually long. However, I can’t speak to the salads but it’s a good deal :) Taco’s are decent but the flavors are not vibrant. Two tacos for about $ 6. Good deal. Will get you full. Also, it’s safe to buy their sandwiches as long as you stick to the old standby’s like ham and turkey. I like their ham, swiss cheese, and honey mustard on a hero. They have some good looking chicken cutlets that are smothered in bbq sauce, honey mustard etc, but they look better than they taste. I got the regular fried chicken cutlet recently and it was not fresh at all, epic fail. The chicken was stale and super dry from it being refrigerated for far too long. I should have known better since they didn’t look that fresh. On the plus side, they have really good chocolate chip cookies and brownies.

This is becoming my go-to lunch spot in midtown! They have an extensive soup selection of about 15 flavors! And they let you sample it so you can find one you like– my all time favorite is chicken pot pie. The vegetable ones are good too, except for split pea which is lacking in flavor– so if I order that i have to add salt and italian seasoning of my own. The salads are great, I’ve been experimenting with different combos for the past few weeks and i think my favorite is kale, cous cous, tomatoes, olives, beets, breaded chicken, goat cheese and the lemon herb dressing. SO great! They also give delicious bagel chips at the counter when you pay if you ask for them, my only wish is that they would sell these bagel chips in a big bag that I could keep at my work desk because they are so darn good.

Go-to lunch destination. Their salads have unlimited toppings(!!!), the soup selection is out of control(usually around 15) and they give you these delectable, daily baked, bagel chips with every meal. I love these bagel chips, always have to ask for extra. Tips: Soups are posted on website everyday and they have a frequent visitor card. Also, try not to get carried away with your salad toppings. Just because they are unlimited doesn’t mean every ingredient will taste good in a salad. I learned that the hard way.

Quick and simple deli(although they sound like something more complex with catering, they have a simple counter inside) with prices up on the board and though I was charged something rounded to the next quarter, the egg & bacon on a roll wasn’t bad at all. Service reasonably quick at 6am in the morning. Straightforward, but I do miss Bui’s.

Before Bistro Caterers, I almost never ordered salads. Now I come here to get it almost twice a week. The line circles to the registers during lunch hrs but it moves quickly. For $ 7~ you can get a 32oz. salad with all the toppings you desire. I leave no room for air in my bowl. Only about 10% of my bowl are greens however. It is usually loaded with nuts, fruits, eggs, chicken, pasta, and other goodies. Plus you get bagel chips and a free salad after 10 salad orders. The mango and raspberry vinaigrette are recommended if you’re into something light and not heavy such as ranch dressing. As for burritos, they are huge(~$ 6.50) So is Mr. Burrito Guy’s smile(free of charge).
