Well I was a regular there when I lived in Chelsea. My morning consisted of either a Mama’s Hot chocolate or coffee accompanied by a cheese bun or Pan de yuca. Every morning when it all came fresh out of the oven I was there. In the summer my go to wait watermelon lemonade all day everyday. I miss them. Unfortunately I don’t get there as much. He even has gluten free goods. Its all delicious… so much so I long for it. You will too… go get your mouthwatering delights… as I sit on my throne of tears and longing for his delicious chicken empanadas with the homemade hot sauce… I miss them.

Had the cinnamon bun & chocolate hostess cupcake after dinner. Bother were very good. I got overwhelmed by the choices and am eager to go back and try other items. The people who worked there were helpful in narrowing down my choices. I was temped by the guava pastries but they ran out!

Thrift shopping always gives me an appetite, so while waiting for the 23rd st bus home, I saw BB’s cute sign out front. And frankly, since my OWN booty is rather wide, I thought, «hey, whatever.» I wanted to try something not exactly standard fare. Hubby was born in Mexico, so «Tres Leche cake» kicked the gong for me. I bought two slices and took them home, enjoying them over several days in small chunks, as this cake is rich beyond imagining. I have made note of the brownies, the red velvet cake, and various other insanely wonderful looking tasties. Do you suppose if I apply myself, I can, in time sample each item on the Big Booty menu and, just sort of eat my way through everything?

The only reason I’m giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is because I haven’t tried everything. Friendly, attentive staff. Friendly welcoming place. Everything looks so yummy, I need to come back soon.
I ordered the fudge brownie but the guy gave me the cheesecake one by accident. Oh well. So I had the cheesecake brownie & it was… WOW. I don’t want to exaggerate & say this was the best brownie I’ve ever had, but it comes pretty damn close. They’re moist, thick, chewy, everything you want in a brownie. I didn’t really get any cheesecake flavor but it was still good. Craving more as I write this review :(

Cheesecake Brownie: I asked for fudge brownie and after getting to my location and opening the bag I see this cheesecake brownie instead… 1 REASON FOR 4* (and it wasn’t busy there)
Okay, to me a brownie is a brownie. This brownie was good (maybe I was full??) I did eat an entire bagel before having this.
It’s a decent spot, their baked goods LOOK really really good and that’s a major for me since I eat with my eyes.
Now onto the deeeets: the flavor was good, it has a good chocolate taste. Moist, the top was crisp, the center was chewy goodness. They should probably change the name of it, because there wasn’t much of a cheesecake taste or feel to it.
I’ll be back to try their other stuff, cupcakes, cookies, etc.

Sweet arepa warmed up – yum. I was craving something savory but a little sweet and it hit the spot. The lady after me pounced on the guava pockets, so I’m trying that next time for sure.
Sat down to eat, but the atmosphere is a bit stuffy and a bit awkward/​unwelcoming. I would just take the food to go.

The name alone makes you laugh! After seeing a movie across the street, I saw this place and just had to go in. The girls working didn’t seem too happy but the one I talked to seemed to lighten up. Bought a butter croissant, a multi-​grain croissant, a blueberry muffin, and a booty bun with nutella. The great thing is that they all tasted great the next day.
Great little place that I’d come back to if I was in the area. it is a little pricier but the quality is definitely there.

The name itself won me over before I even walked in. I have a gluten allergy and happened to stumble upon Big Booty Bread Co when looking for some gluten free snacks in the Chelsea area. I ordered an iced coffee and a gluten free chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was huge and jam packed with tiny chocolate chips, and tasted delicious dipped in the coffee. I couldn’t finish it all in one sitting so I ate it throughout the day and it stayed pretty soft and moist, which was a plus. I’ll definitely be revisiting this spot!

I don’t know what happened but the service here has become a little more disgruntled. We walked in and the wife was curious about which pan de yucas were left and the guy behind the counter was cut her off and jumped into what varieties they had. Her New Yorker kicked in and she cut off his cut off and said «I know what kinds you make, but do you have any of the herb and cheese ones left?» We got one as well as a half and half and a coffee split, split the herb and cheese yuca which was just okay and then left.

Stopped in here solely because of the business name, and because I’m always on the hunt for a delicious cookie or pastry. I picked quickly and chose a peanut butter cup cookie. It is delicious! Large chunks of Reese’s peanut butter cups on top.

Saw their cupcake display from their store front window and was tempted to get one. Unfortunately the cupcake was just average. The frosting did have enough of the tangy taste that I expected from a cream cheese frosting. The cake was light though. Although I didn’t quite enjoy their cupcake, their other baked goods looked really appetizing.

I used to stop by here every other day when they first opened but slowly stopped because they weren’t consistent with their hours.
The quality of the products has gone down a bit. I used to enjoy getting a bun and snacking on it while I left. Now it’s a hit or miss when it comes to how good it is.
The cupcakes are nothing special and have been refrigerated so when you eat it, it’s like eating a stick of butter

One of my favorite bakeries in Chelsea. Used to come here almost daily for a post lunch dessert (I know… horrible)
The sweet:
— gluten free goodies — all are good!

— I love the hostess cupcake
— I love the Bono relleno — a guava jam filled gluten free pocket
— delicious Colombian desserts
— great house coffee
The sour:
— 5 dollar minimum means you got to buy at least two things if you’re out of cash.

Gluten free yummies!!!
I’m so pleased that I came in and asked if they had anything gf. They had a nice little assortment of treats, and not just cookies! It’s really sad to have a gluten allergy and not be able to enjoy interesting bread things once in awhile. I tried their yucca flour cheesy bun thing and it was amazing! You’d enjoy it even if you can eat gluten!
I’m 8 ½ months pregnant and plan on trying all of their gf things before I give birth ;)!

So happened to park right in front of this place during a recent trip to the city. When leaving, we decided to pick up a few things. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything looked good. Really wanted to try the cookies but ended up getting some cupcakes and brownies. The brownies were great. Both brownies and cupcakes (on the smaller end) were $ 3 each. The red velvet cupcake was good, but the strawberry cupcake was very dry. I would to go back and try the cookies and may a loaf of bread.

Walked in after 5 minutes of contemplating if to go healthier with neighbor vegan blossom or all out with this delicious place.
Best decision of this weekend by far. Picked the double fudge brownie and it was delicious. Too bad my gf thought the same and I only had one bite.
Will go there again for sure. Highly recommend.
PS — you probably wondering why only 4 stars then. Well the place have a cash minimum of $ 5 whereas the brownie only cost $ 3.5.

My husband and I were walking around the neighborhood and were struck with a sweets craving. Minutes later, we passed right by this place and walked in. We shared a double chocolate brownie, which was incredibly delicious — not too bitter, not too sweet. The seating area in the back is cute and comfortable.
My only downside was the staff — they were helpful, but not very friendly. They just seemed rushed and not really interested in helping us. Also, they had a big mixer that was going (mixing icing for cupcakes), so we had to repeat ourselves numerous times.
All in all, I’d probably come here again, but only if I was in the neighborhood already.

Was attracted here by the wafting smells of the baked goods and the S’mores Cookie staring at me through the window. It was love at first sight. As I walked in, a stack of Fudge Brownie Bars vied for my affections. Despite the predicament I faced, in my heart, I knew that S’mores Cookie was the one. Although I was outrageously full, I still forked out $ 3 for this monstrous delight and devoured it within the next 15 minutes as I strolled down the Highline. The not too soft, crispy texture, generous amount of chocolate chips and the hints of marshmallows, was just heavenly. It wasn’t overly sweet (thank god) at all!
My intuition was right: S’mores Cookie is the one.
I CAN’T WAIT TO COME BACK HERE FOR ANOTHER S’MORES COOKIE AGAIN!!!

I had high hopes. The cupcakes look fantastic. I decided to try the chocolate banana bread and a homemade hot chocolate. The bread seemed a little stale and I did not like the hot cocoa. Slightly disappointed as I was so pumped to try. Hopefully I can try cupcakes/​other sweets and redeem this cute spot.
