Came for trivia night on a Thursday. I think it starts promptly around 9:00PM. They award a round of shots for the most creative team name and a bar tab for the winning team. They had a good set of trivia questions organized by rounds/categories and not overly challenging or easy(some bars I’ve been to have had multiple choice or yes/no answer questions). The host we had was prompt and funny. The trivia was not that distracting for those who just wanted a drink and chat either. Decent neighborhood spot to grab a pint and catch up with friends, but given it’s size, not ideal for large groups.

Don’t use plastic here and count your cash.

Be careful here. Pay cash only or avoid the place altogether. They have fraudulently charged my debit card twice. Once they put a transaction through when I wasn’t even there(the last time I was there I wrote down my card info because the machine was down. I should have known better). Another time, the bartender added a «1» in front of my $ 5 tip in order to give himself a $ 15 tip. When I confronted him about it after reviewing my statement he stammered apologies and did not even check to see if he screwed up, but gave me a credit for the bar… He was completely guilty. I used to enjoy going here, but I will never be returning after this last time. The bartenders may be charismatic and fun, but they are thieves nonetheless.

Small, friendly little pub. Perfect for what it is.

Reasonable prices, solid beer options(amazing house beer), and good trivia. Wish they had food, but they let you bring any food you want!

Was having a stroll with a couple of friends on the upper east side when we stumbled upon this tiny little irish bar. Great atmosphere and our batender James was great! We stayed for a couple of hours and had a few games of darts. Will be back for sure.

This is a perfect example of a hole in the wall! What a great bar. The owners are awesome and the Guinness for some reason just tastes better here. This place is an Irish pub that would fit right in in Ireland. Have a pint, play some darts, and meet some great folks that know how to run a bar. Thank you Biddy’s pub for the hangover. Happy st. paddy’s day!

this place is exactly what it looks like, a divey irish pub for decently priced drinks and to avoid the outside world. the bartenders are always nice and the drinks are always great. the music is good and the crowd ususally leaves you alone. all in all just a decent chill spot.

Love Biddy’s! Awesome bar tenders. A good neighbor place. However, it ALWAYS smells like an indoor pool and often attracts some creepy older men. Other than that, it’s a great dive bar

Eh, this place has nice people, decently spaced out tables, but is nothing special. Its not dive-y enough to feel like a dive bar, but not trendy enough to feel really fun. Drinks are pretty cheap.

I don’t know how I’ve lived on the Upper East Side for four years and haven’t gone here until about a month ago. This place is an absolute hidden gem. I went for trivia a few Thursdays ago and have gone back every Thursday since. Biddy’s is super tiny, but that’s all part of the appeal(at least for me). It’s cozy and a great Thursday neighborhood spot, especially on cold nights. If you want to get a table for Thursday trivia, go early — the place is pretty packed by 8:30 for a 9:00 start. Also, bring food. Biddy’s doesn’t sell food, but you can bring it in from outside which is great(Delizia’s is right around the corner). They also have $ 3PBR cans, which is ALWAYS a win in my book.

I love this Bar. Came here last night based on a friends recommendation and the entire night felt like an intimate affair. The drinks are pretty cheap, and the the digital jukebox was a huge hit considering it had so many amazing«non-radio» hits I love to listen to, and for those into the mainstream things. you have that option aswell. As mentioned by, uumm everyone! this place is TINY. But that makes it even better. From the bartender, to the other locals having a few drinks… you end up having a night out with more friends than you walked in with. Would love to visit on Trivia night and show off my impressive pop culture skills! :)

Biddy’s is a true old-school bar that, if I lived anywhere in Manhattan would be my home. I’d line my nest there with beer and trivia sheets from Mad Tim-the trivia master. My buddy and I decided to meet up there for trivia and he arrived a few minutes after it started and the no phone rule was in effect. No phone access is like living in the stone age, tapping on windows in the vain attempt to get his attention while he calls me outside. Tim gave me a special dispensation and let me use my phone to call and bring him in. Their house beer is pretty good and at only $ 4 bucks is a GREAT deal. Having your 4th beer on the house is an even GREATER deal-it is a delightfully old-school bar tradition that is alive and well here at Biddy’s. Despite the small bar, everyone there is really friendly and it’s really a great neighborhood place that’s still super friendly to new comers. The only downside is that it’s small and it filled up when there were 2 large groups and there’s no food.

Looking for a dive in the ritzy UES, try Biddy’s, here’s why: PROS Decent prices($ 5 shots and beers) You can bring your own food! Good, friendly bartenders Only dive in the vicinity — good for a bar crawl stop Funny trivia and less groups than most places, so it moves quickly CONS teeny-tiny no food TIP: Go on trivia night for a fun time(9pm Thursdays) and bring some pizza from Ray’s around the corner, and enjoy!
