I’ve been coming to Ben’s for a haircut for 4 years now! I travel from Boston just to get cuts from him. He is just simply the best. I have tried other stylists in the Boston area and no one compares, hence why I continue to make the 4 hour trips to NYC every 3 – 4 months. Ben is a true hair stylist that has a great eye for styles that suit your face and personality. He is honest and has always let me know if a hairstyle I have in mind looks good or bad.
I should also mention that everyone working at the salon is incredibly nice and friendly. I love coming here!

Had an amazing blowout with an apprentice, Allyson here. I have worked with quite a few hair salon apprentices, and Allyson is simply one of the best I’ve experienced. She’s friendly, open and honest with her professional opinions, which I really appreciate. Without the help of any hair product, she was able to turn my somewhat straight boring hair into beautiful voluminous wavy hair! She finished the blow-​dry with only a few spritz of hairspray. It was very windy when I got the blow out, and my hair stayed PERFECTLY (in terms of the volume, the waviness, and even the side-​part!!! My hair usually parts right down the middle) after walking around outside for about an hour! This unbelievable experience is truly a first for me. Brava, Allyson!

I was getting my haircut from Benedict when he was at another salon so I was thrilled when he decided to run is own place in Nolita.
Every now and then I would walk in and say I want something different and would leave it for him to execute because I trust his sense of style; Benedict was trained at the infamous Vidal Sassoon in London, so having experienced his combination of technical skills, natural talent and creative flair for over a year I highly recommend visiting his salon for a haircut!
