Well, in terms of bizarre locations this philly cheese steak business is well up there. Circled round the shop several times until I actually spotted it up some stairs, with a little old sign. When you go in, you may well think about marching out in the face of all the cupcakes on display. However when I timidly enquired about a cheesesteak I was met with a nod and my burger materialised a few minutes later. We did not eat in — not least because there is nowhere to sit as I recall. Instead we went to a little park near Christopher Street. And the burger. Very nice. Thumbs up from my fussy 4 year old too. Lethally fatty though I should imagine — dripping in melted cheese.
