Barbara Medlin NP-P/BC

Barbara is one of the most crazy people i have ever met. she is addicted to adderall and is suffering from the long term effects of the drug. she is responsible for the worst experience of my. stay away from her if you are smart.

Barbara seems like a very good doctor and those of you so adamant on writing bad reviews should think twice before you say something that can negatively impact someones life and business. If you have a problem with her maybe its your fault and not hers! She seems very knowledgeable, capable and personable which is what I look for in a therapist. I think she is great!

DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN! She is just a drug dealer who needs to be shut down! She lies, manipulates… When you call her out on it, she gets very defensive and threatens to cut you off, and since you’re already addicted to Adderall, you have no other choice, since she will be the first to remind you that NO OTHE FAKE DOC will prescribe amphetamines like she does! Only wants your money! Same thing that ryan talks about happened to me. She takes adder all herself and it’s obvious that SHE has a problem. The list is endless of why you should not see her. AGAIN DO NOT GO TO HER, unless you’re looking to score. SHE IS A DRUG DEALER!!!

I’m responding to the comment Barb made on my review. A suggestion to find a different provider is one thing. An unprovoked hissy fit by a trained professional is quite another. Psych doctors and meds managers, of all people, should be able to handle their patients professionally regardless of their own insecurities. What I witnessed was none of the above. I have no problem at all with doctors prescribing medications for their off label use. In fact, it’s a completely legal and permissible practice. I raised the point only to suggest that if you want some medications that other doctors refuse to prescribe, Barb might be a good place to go. But tread carefully with this one — she may flip out on you if you push her buttons.

In my opinion, Barbara Medlin is very knowledgable in both medication and «talk therapy.» While I normally would not use the same practitioner for both medicine and therapy, Barbara is an exception. Before Barb, I had been to three other psychiatrists who, like most psychiatrists, just gave a standard medication for whatever mental illness the DSM diagnosed the patient with. This was very irritating, as I felt I could do the same thing myself. Barb dedicates time into learning about new medications and prescribes them based on her knowledge of brain chemistry, rather than just filling out a prescription for the usual medication given. Barb is also very intuitive when it comes to identifying key issues, and offering helpful solutions. If you are tired of unresponsive psychiatrists and/​or want an intuitive therapist, Barb is right for you.
