Bags On Lex

We were walking by this store yesterday and I saw some red leather purses in the window display. My husband knew he was doomed at that point (my obsession with anything red is practically a lifelong phenomenon), so he reluctantly entered the store with me. I ended up buying a beautiful big red leather purse which was on sale, and even my husband had to admit that it’s very attractive & utilitarian (high praise!).
The owner’s wife & another woman work there on Saturdays and we ended up having a very lengthy & wonderful conversation with them re: many topics; they were *incredibly* friendly.
I just read the two one-​star reviews (re: the owner [who works there on M-​F]) and admittedly I find them concerning & dismaying — but I can only comment on our experience, which was terrific.

0 stars. I just left this store about 20 minutes ago. I do not usually write reviews but my experience warranted a review. I had the single worst experience at ANY retail establishment anywhere. The man running the store a the time offered to help once. I was deciding whether or not to try on a pair of shoes. Then about 2 minutes later he said «I’ve asked you 5000 times if you wanted to try on». At the same time he started slamming stuff around and pretty much chased us out the door and slammed the door to lock it. We felt like he was so angry we were afraid he would assault. As we walked away we kept checking to make sure he wasn’t following us. And the kicker is the place wasn’t even supposed to close until 8 pm according to the webpage and sign on the door.

Shoeheaven! This is my go to place when looking for that special pair of shoes & bags! Love the location as they are centrally located & most importantly The sales staff always goes the extra mile to accommodate all my needs
