I visited the bakery last Sunday, 29th May 2016 and was appalled by the dessert I purchased and the behaviour after my complaint. I purchased two apple tarts and in biting into one of them, I noticed a funny taste and looked into the tart. I was horrified to see mold in the tart. I went back to the store and complained, they offered me a new one. Could you believe that. When I purchased the two tarts they were the last, however, upon my return they had a new tray on display with more of the same. Upon closer inspection, you could see the green discoloration of mould on them. The young man quickly removed them when I pointed out what I saw. Needless to say I returned the tart.

The best cup of coffee in the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Check out the apple turnovers and Chocolate chip cookies. In the hot weather they make a great cup of iced coffee. The servers are very nice.

Little whole in the wall, simple, nothing extraordinary. Got black coffee only, the rest didn’t look that appetizing.

I go to Aunt Butchies for their tea. It’s the best in the ferry terminal by far, hot and fresh. The staff is friendly, helpful and fast.

I used to go here every day to get my coffee. The coffee was excellent and the staff were so friendly. Now: the coffee is awful and the new staff are rude and laugh at customers. Perhaps new management? I don’t know but I cannot get over how much this place changed. I also despise having to repeat my coffee order 5 times.

Average coffee, average baked goods. It does the job. I’m not really all that convinced that I shouldn’t have just gone down stairs and grabbed a slice and beer instead. It is the ferry terminal, however, so I’m not going to hit the rating too hard.

The coffee here is good. Not excellent, but I’ll stop by if I happen to be at the ferry. I do wish that they had french vanilla that wasn’t the syrup. I still like it, but actual flavored coffee just has a different taste that can’t be replicated by a syrup. That being said, their baked goods are either a hit or a miss. I’ve gotten some really good cookies and then some really dry muffins. Behind the counter they are always nice. Never had a problem. I will warn, because it is in the ferry terminal, sometimes the tourists like to take their time or they just don’t know what they want. Depending on my patience, I’ll either wait or avoid the line. I’m not one to miss a ferry over coffee.

WOW, excellent cookies, if you’re a cookie fanatic like me. Heck, I’ll eat dough right out of a bowl, uncooked, even off a spoon! We stumbled upon the store at the south island ferry to Staten. Yum, you can’t go wrong… peanut butter excellent, choc chip dripping with melted square chips. Expensive, but worth it.

Let me start by saying I LOVE the original Aunt Butchies in Brooklyn and even the one that opened in the busy terminal of Jet Blue tastes just as good… but the Aunt Butchies here just doesn’t compare… It isn;t always fresh so please do not judge by your first bite… I gave it a couple shots and it is a 50⁄50 shot it will not be as fresh as it comes. and even though the original AB freezes all of their cakes upon baking, there isn’t any defrosting until you buy it and also they don;t sell single slices so that probably makes a difference in the way it melts and tastes… The ferry terminal sells them ready to eat, so they could have defrosted for way too long depending on how many people are buying them that day… The Mississippi Mudd, my favorite, a chocolate lover’s fantasy in a plastic container. White Chocolate Mousse — A mix of lighter chocolate. tastes so yummy Carrott Cake — which already I am not fond of, was pretty good… Snickers Pie — how can we not love you… Oreo Cheesecake — better than the Cheese Cake Factory… give it at least 2 shots it is worth it… but if you could… head to Brooklyn for the sampler cake…
