The only thing more absurd than the prices is the complete lack of customer service. Was checked on twice during the entirety of the time we sat. The wait staff was non-responsive and extremely rude the entire time, and added 18% gratuity on our bill claiming we had 8 guests when in reality we had 6. Avoid at all costs.

I didn’t have any food there so I can’t comment on that. I had some cocktails at the bar. The bartenders were great. very nice and attentive. Alicia was fantastic and pretty cool to talk to. The place is pretty comfortable and they have outdoor seating.

came here on a recommendation and was sadly disappointed. got the burger and a cheese steak. seemed over price for something so simple. maybe we came at the wrong time of day, but the service was awful as we saw the servers just standing there chatting away. to many other good dining places to deal with that service and very ok food.

The food is excellent and fairly priced for New York. Service is very good including the bartenders. If you’re looking for nice atmosphere, lots of TVs, and then this is the place to go. A great casual bar and restaurant.

Just an ordinary restaurant bar. Ordered filet mignon sliders & french onion soup. The filet mignon was overcooked and too chewy. Do not like the blue cheese. Not a good combination. The bread was not toasted tge way I like it. French onion was just medicroe. Magarita was weak. Service is good.

We really enjoyed this place and were glad to have found it. My husband ordered the filet sliders and talked about them all weekend. I ordered one of the flatbreads and was pleased with my choice.

So we went to this place for the games on Sunday because of its location and despite the poor Unilocal ratings. We found a tall table in the corner that had the best view of the most TVs, but we were really there for the Buccs game. We noticed right away that the consistency of keeping the channels on the appropriate football game was lacking. There were games that were close with 2:00 left in the fourth quarter, and instead of playing those they had on blow out games that were basically over on the TV. It took a long time for us to get the drinks that we ordered when we were waiting for a table, maybe they lost track of us when we actually sat down but it was a good 20 minutes before we got our beers. Ordered wings and they were very greasy in my opinion, I really didn’t like the taste because of the amount of frying oil that was left on them. The ranch and bleu cheese dipping sauces were runny and didn’t taste great either. The table we were sitting at had dirty place mats. Won’t be back.

Had a fun sunday here with bottomless brunch for 24.95 and an entrée. Watched football and had a great time. Nice outdoor seating with a great breeze for a perfect summer day. Will be back!

This was my first ever visit to Ashton’s Alley. It was a Saturday at 12:30pm. Most people were eating outside but I chose to eat near the bar area although plenty of seats were available. I ordered the Ashton Burger from Matthew. I ate my lunch while listening to Fleetwood Mac and pop dance tunes and while watching the same Yankees game on five televisions as well as the same golf tournament on 3 televisions. I received few french fries probably because it was a good sized burger however average in taste.

I never understood why this wasn’t a more happening brunch place. They have a great bottomless deal, good food, and the wait service has always been very attentive. I mostly would go for brunch. Since there was never a huge crowd there it was a great spot to go to actually engage in conversations with your friends without having to shout over other patrons. The dinner menu and happy hour drinks are great too. I especially love the outdoor seating in the warm weather. It’s pretty standard pub fare, and it’s very good.

Came here with a bunch of girlfriends for brunch after staying at Affinia 50 down the street. I was very hesitant because I was looking to go to a cute little place for brunch, and a sports bar wasn’t exactly an appealing choice. I was pleasantly surprised by this place, and would definitely come again. For 25.00 we got two hours of unlimited mimosas, screwdrivers, and/or blood Mary’s along with an entrée. Our group of friends each had several drinks, and it was nice that you could change your choice in drink… didn’t have to just stick with one. The drinks were pre-made in pitchers, but still were pretty strong. Our waitress was very efficient and speedy and we never had to wait long on refills for drinks. I got the Ashton’s Alley omelette, which was excellent. Savory and excellent flavor, but a very large portion… could not finish it! Really satisfactory meal. Great service and a great brunch with friends. If you’re looking for the cute date day/girls’ night out atmosphere it’s not here. It’s very much a sports bar atmosphere, but very clean and large. I wouldn’t hesitate to come here for brunch. Very efficient and friendly service.

This is a great place to come for sporting events. They have a million TVs, it’s big, and it’s clean inside. I came here for the World Cup, and we had a great time. I’ve also been here twice for unlimited mimosa/bloody mary brunch and it was great. Highly recommend. I love the outdoor seating area in the summer!

Over priced. Poorly managed. Slow service. Cons: they lost my reservation. What’s the point of having a link to make a reservation on your website if you don’t keep the reservation? They’re slow. At everything: preparing food, fetching drinks, bringing the check. It’s over priced. The food is average at best. Pros: the hostess was hot. You’ll probably be able to get seated here quickly during busy times because it’s not that good. Bottom line: there are better options in the area.

Don’t know about the weekdays or the dining hours but at 1:30 in the morning on a Monday/holiday weekend this is THE place to be. BARTENDER! Tanya(aka Tanya West) got the late 90’s early 00’s playlist on point & the drinks ABSOLUTELYRIGHT…& can make you a celebrity over night. We’ve been looking for this atmosphere for 5 days FIVE! Drinks are great… I’ve got the hiccups to prove it, SON. So don’t even go there my boy. TVs…they’re big. But who cares when you’re bartender is spitting out the lyrics to RUFFRYDERSANTHEM?! For real get on down here WAY after hours if you appreciate awesome drinks, great music, & clean bathrooms. Can’t go wrong 5 stars for the best bartender/DJ.

AREYOUKIDDINGME… NOIDEAWHYTHISPLACEISRATEDSOPOORLY… I have been working in midtown east for 6 months now and this is my #1 go to spot for Happy Hour drinks from 4 – 8. With so many options in midtown, I always find myself coming back here. GREATMODERNSPORTSBARFEEL –Big TVs –Multiple areas for seating, whether you want sit at the bar or have a booth to yourself It is some what crowded after work, but it is more of a nice crowded instead of loud hectic atmosphere. NOWLET’S TALKBEER –They have a solidddd selection of beers of draft… I will finish this review later

‘Ashton’s!’…This word was uttered mostly everyday as a go to spot for lunch when they were located directly across the street in the Crystal Pavilion. The Crystal Pavilion’s profile pics brought back a myriad of memories both happy and at least times dramatic, in addition to many a days and nights of good eats, great drinks, great laughs with friends, great conversations with co-workers and with the waitresses and waiters that eventually became our Ashton’s ‘friends’. Through the years there have been numerous after work meet-ups, surprise parties, after team sporting events, reunions of sorts, etc, etc… the end result is the evening more often than not always ended at Ashton’s. The old location at the Crystal Pavillion, which currently houses another restaurant, with Gyu-Kaku above; holds a lot of nostalgic memories for myself and many others in our crew that will never be forgotten. Now on to the new Ashton’s. The décor is a lot less pub-like, a lot more modern with one level instead of two and has a warm ambiance, friendly bar service and decent wait service. In addition, there are many more flat screen TVs for viewing your favorite sporting event. As mentioned before, there’s no longer the atmosphere of a pub feel with a jukebox bellowing in the background for late-night drunk dancing, but is now more of a bistro/sports like bar… I guess they’ve matured with the rest of us. Even after moving office locations my friends/colleagues and I always found ourselves back at the new Ashton’s to indulge in their new menu, plus weekend brunch of Irish breakfast with unlimited alcoholic beverages which is then ended with a nice cup o’ tea to hit the spot. With the change of theme to a bistro type venue also came the change of the menu to no longer include the days of their flavorful fare of my old time favorites of Bangers and Mash, Chicken Pot Pie, Fish and Chips and Shepard’s Pie. The only exception is their Fish and Chips, which survived the cut. So Ashton’s, I salute you for reinventing yourself and surviving all of these many years. Not many a restaurant can fit in that category.

Ashton’s is a modern sports bar on 50th and third in midtown east. It hasn’t been around all that long, but has become a local landmark for east siders. As an after work spot, this place is ok, nothing to rave about. It gets busy and the drinks are a bit pricey. The crowd isn’t one I’d usually associate myself with — people who are a bit too quiet, ok if you’re looking for a calm night. But Ashton’s has a secret that not many people know about. It’s one of the most underrated brunch spots in the city. Every Saturday and Sunday they post a little sign outside the door(like many a place does) and most people simply walk by. If only they knew what was happening inside past the chic outdoor seating and glass French doors. The food is wonderful; they have a comprehensive brunch menu that rivals bigger places. Everything they serve is prepared perfectly; I always get rave reviews from the people I bring here. I consider this to be a «secret» brunch spot as it’s never too busy and the food is really good, so when I bring people here I get major brunch cred. The best part about brunch at Ashton’s though, are the drinks. The bloody marys are good(though I’m not the biggest bloody mary fan) and the mimosas are never ending. I mean seriously never ending — they keep filling them up all day, and don’t seem to care how long you sit. You can also grab a light beer as part of the brunch, which in my opinion is a nice touch as most places don’t include beer with unlimited brunch. More people need to give this place a shot for brunch on a Saturday. If you really want to impress someone special, go in the spring time and sit outside for a truly spectacular city brunch.
