I came to American Apparel today after finding out their swimwear was 50% off, determined to finally find a brown bikini. For only $ 25, I got what I wanted after a seemingly endless quest over the last few months and found the girl who helped me at the dressing room when I needed a different size for the bottom to be quite helpful. However, I can’t see myself paying full price there. I’ve never been overwhelmed by the quality of their products and I just prefer Uniqlo for my basics.

Five stars for customer service!!! Let me start of by saying that I walked into this store looking like a bum… I did not look like the typical American Apparel customer and I was on my way to work at a cupcake store. However the staff (particularly two men, one with some scruff and the other was Indian looking) were SO kind in helping me find this out of season dress I tried on months ago. They fished it out of their inventory for me which took 15 minutes alone and didn’t blink twice when I (embarrassingly) had to put it on hold while I waited for my paycheck.
Made my day. Thanks guys!

pretty much every time i walk by it’s like i’m compelled to go in and buy a lil something, because you can really always use one more pair of black leggings or socks or just something idk. i really think they have the best plain cotton leggings here.
and their nail polish is seriously good. i’m currently wearing the coney island color and my fingers look so CUTE and PINK while i type this!

The staff are incredibly snooty — not friendly, but the quality of the t-​shirts is great. Stretchy, soft, wonderful and good-​fitting. It’s worth it despite being a bit over-​priced and the poor service (really, You are NOT doing me a favor by ringing up my purchase, really.)

I’ve already mentioned my love for AA at length, so I won’t waste (too much) more space. This location had the strapless bandeau pencil dress, which the Houston St. location did not have. Score! It’s definitely not as well stocked, but it was somehow calmer, and even though there was less space, it didn’t really feel cramped, maybe just a tiny bit.

Well, what can I say? American Apparel really isn’t half bad. They crank out amazingly sexy pieces in every color ever known to man and this particular location is more organized (and cleaner…) than other ones. It’s pretty much empty at around noon. There’s decent customer service too.

many people talk a whole bunch of well-​deserved smack about American Apparel, but in my experience. some of their offerings really are the best things i’ve ever had touch my body [ohhhh yeahhh!].
i find this store to be well organized and well stocked, and i develop girlcrushes on many of the employees =]
while at first it was hard for me to justify spending $ 17-​$ 22 on a plain tank top, or $ 36 for a little black tube dress. i realized that no other tanks fit me better (see my picture for proof). and my ass has never before looked soooo slammin’ !!
