I would give the lobster rolls five stars. Kat the bartender was rude and very nasty. Nick was great. If you want to be verbally assaulted I recommend sitting at the bar and getting ignored and abused by the bartender Kat. Would only go back if she was Not working!

This is a fast paced, live energy place. Wooden benches and tables for seating, big screen TV’s and board games to enjoy. We played Connect 4. Our server was friendly and on point, checking in just in time for more drink orders. It was Margaritas for HH, but in my opinion they were more like Sour Mixaritas… Ordered a Connecticut Roll, New England Clam Chowder and the NY Hot Dog. The food was underwhelming– my roll was dry. I was disappointed considering I looked at this place years ago. I really like lobster rolls and have had enough to know a good one when I taste it. You actually can see how dry it is in the pic. This unfortunately has to go down as the worst one I’ve had to date. Maybe it was just a bad day… So yea, the games and atmosphere are what I have to go on here, saving it from being a total flop.

This was our first stop when we got to the south street seaport. We sat outside and watched other restaurant goers play Jenga and Connect Four. I had the Maine lobster roll and beer. The lobster roll was very good but I still am loyal to a restaurant in Charleston, SC for having the best one ever. The bun was buttered and extremely savory. The individuals I was with had the lobster avocado lettuce wraps and said they were the perfect healthy option. Fun spot to eat, drink and people watch.

Came her for with some friends, once entering the restaurant we were greeted by a very helpful and friendly hostess. Felt very comfortable coming in, unfortunately the great customer service ended there. The waitress didn’t even bother giving us her name, she took for ever to take our order and our food took even longer to come. At some point the waitress disappeared and one of my friends saw her outside smoking. Would of given it 5 stars if the waitress would’ve been better.

Love this place ! Great for meeting up after work for happy hour which is what we find ourselves Doing time and time again. atmosphere is cool especially the outdoor seating with the cobble stone road outside. Wait staff are chill and attentive without being over bearing. Lots of great beer options. The lobster rolls are Very tasty, along with their perfect fries and hot dogs that come with different condiment options they give off to the side so far we have tried the chipotle mayo and cheese sauce which are both awesome

Excellent amazing wonderful lobster roll! I got the Connecticut lobster roll which is served warm with butter. The roll it was served on was so so good. I’m dreaming about getting another one. The service, however, was slow AF. It wasn’t even busy! Come on now. Three stars for bad service, ya jokers.

I think the biggest thing this place has going for it is the nice outdoor seating right on the charming streets of the Seaport. I tried the Radiant Pig Jr. IPA(on tap) and it was very refreshing. I’m not sure how I felt about the beer coming in a plastic cup though. We also ordered fries but they never came. Service was friendly but super, super slow. There are definitely better bars in FiDi but if you have tons of time and just want a chill little spot on the Seaport, this isn’t a bad option.

Snapped some shots of the Brooklyn Bridge and timed the visit perfect for lunch in this great South Seaport area. Sat outside and enjoyed the Ahoy Lunch, which was a Lobster Role, Chips and Beer combo, which were all perfect for a lunchtime snack. Lobster Roll as very tasty,(I preferred the Maine and my Wife the Connecticut) Food was great, service could have been more attentive, which may have kept us a little longer on a warm spring day.

So I came here on a groupon and I am VERY glad I did because had I come without a groupon I would not be happy to pay $ 22 for that little lobster roll— Don’t get me wrong– it was DELICIOUS, but had I paid $ 22 for it I think I would never of convinced myself to get it. Their Happy Hour deal is pretty decent — select draughts $ 5, select wine $ 5, well drinks $ 6 and it lasts til 8pm which is awesome. The bartender, however, left a lot to be desired. Yes, he was the only one behind the bar, but he was not attentive, slow moving and we often had to wave, snap, call out and even then it was a wait to get him to come over. You would think he would be more eager to sell drinks and get some tips. I was hard pressed to leave 20% with his apathetic stroll.

Came on lunch hour, there were a handful of people inside but not enough that we couldn’t get a seat. It looks nice outside, but even more spacious inside. My date and I had already decided on the two lobster rolls with chips, and also got a clam chowder. The chowder itself is as chowder should be, it was chunky, plenty potato and clam, the seafood taste was there. However, the chowder itself was a little broken, and I wish it had more of an herb texture to it. I used the oyster crackers but it didn’t do enough. I’m glad they gave me two packages because this was a nice size bowl. The lobster rolls had very tend lobster on top, sadly there wasn’t really enough sauce, and they do not fully utilize the bun. You look at it and it’s a nice size bun, but then you realize how much more room, potential lobster room is left out. Cape cod chips I always appreciate but like any other place that gives you these, I wish there were homemade chips. I’d return again due to numerous cocktails and beer selection, but I wouldn’t get a lobster roll twice, I hope the other options are just as good.

Really tasty clam chowder didn’t pair well with the bad service we received. My hubby and I came in to grab a couple of drinks and some soup on a rainy afternoon around 1pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy and we sat at the bar. My hubby finished his drink, wanting to order another one. We love sitting at the bar so that we can get fast service. It took the bartender 15 minutes to stop texting on her cell phone to look our direction, and my husband was finally able to flag her down to order another round. Get off your phone and pay attention to your customers! P. s. The chowder is amazing!

Definitely focused toward tourists, but it’s definitely an affordable low-key place to eat and drink near the bridges & river. We had two lobster rolls(lots of meat, frozen rather than fresh, large buttery roll, not a lot of flavor), fries(large portion, similar to McDonalds style, not my ideal), chili(watery and bland), chips(bagged), and a few beers(great local selection at low prices and generous pours)… I’ll definitely come back again in the future, perhaps just for a few beers and some fresh air, but it’s not a destination spot.

We walk through the door, not sure what to do, since there is no host/ess stand, so we were just standing awkwardly there for a couple minutes until we got eye contact with the tall blonde waitress near the back of the restaurant. She stayed where she was, motioned«for two?», and when we said yes, she waved her hand and said«yea anywhere.» We saw a couple of empty seats throughout and decided to sit in the open seating in the corner. The two other seats we saw opened(one by the door, and one by the window) filled up within the next five minutes, but we still did not get any service. Then we saw the same tall blonde who told us to sit anywhere go over and take the orders from those two tables and didn’t even take a second look around to realize she was forgetting us. Okay, what the heck?! We wait a few more minutes, and still no one. So at this point I’m pretty annoyed. I had seen a gentleman wearing a t-shirt who seemed to be a manager, so I got up(yes I had to get up) to find him. When I found him, the same tall blonde was nearby, so I asked out loud, «how do I get service? She(nodding towards the blonde) told us to sit anywhere, but she served two parties that came in after us first.» She just kinda stood there dumbfounded or something, and the manager either didn’t understand me or didn’t hear me because he was just like«yea you can sit anywhere.» When I repeated myself, he asked«where are you sitting» and I told him«in the back(of the seating area)». Within a couple of minutes, a brunette waitress came to take our orders. Good, because I really would have flipped out on the blonde, considering I watched her serve those two parties. Really? I have to bring it to your attention that I had not been served yet, after having been in your establishment for at least 10 – 15 minutes now? Ridiculous. Whatever. So the brunette is ready to take our order, and I’m still snarky, so as she asks«how are you», I reply«could be better.» However, she kept her cool and was nice the entire time, which made me feel better by the time she was done taking our order. We ordered two Maine Lobster Rolls, an order of the Parmesan & Truffle Oil Fries, and a New England Clam Chowder. For me, the lobster roll is a miss. There is a satisfying amount of lobster meat in the roll, but the taste is lacking, and there is too much bread. Like another Unilocaler stated, it is really lacking the buttery goodness! There are a lot of other places that do it better. The fries are okay; we liked the seasoning. Again, other places do it better. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the chowder, but for $ 9, the portion is disappointing. Beer-wise, there’s a list of about 10 – 12 beers on the menu, but apparently they’re introducing a line of Game of Thrones beer, so they only had a selection of about 5 beers. Food-wise, overall everything was average at best, if not actually subpar. Service-wise, probably one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. While waiting for our food and eating, we actually watched three parties leave because they were not being serviced. I mean, mini-Smorgasburg is outside; why wait to be served(or not served) if you can just get food right outside? Truthfully, we would’ve left too, if not for the Groupon we had. I was almost turned off by all of the reviews about slow service and mediocre food, but I decided to buy the $ 39 Groupon to come try this place out anyway. Unfortunately, the other reviews are absolutely right about this place. It is a nightmare, and with so many other options in the city, I don’t think I will be returning, even if there are Groupons or other deals available.

I used to enjoy this place a lot more but this place is overcrowded after 5pm. It’s hard to get the attention of the staff. Food is still good but you are better off eating elsewhere if you don’t feel like waiting half an hour for a menu and another half hour for food.

It’s not very common to find a place that has your name on it, but I decided to eat at this place to see whether or not this place really does have good food or not. Fortunately, I do like to eat lobster once in a while and I do like to drink a little beer. The lobster roll they serve here is pretty good, really liked the texture and the flavor of the lobster, it was not too messy, and I really liked the toasty bread. It comes with Cape Cod potato chips, and if you want fries, you probably need to pay more money. The beer selection at this place is adequate, but there’s not a large amount of options you could have. The Radeberger pilsner was a very refreshing complement to the lobster roll. Walking inside, to be honest, it felt a little strange to see the staff wear t-shirts with«Ambrose» written on them, but I did feel a little special. Bartenders were very friendly, the interior was very spacious, and there’s plenty of outdoor seating. This place is pretty good when the temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius but less than 28 degrees Celsius. You may have to wait a while. I came in at around 11:30AM and I still had to wait a while for the lobster roll to come in. Overall, this place does serve some good lobster rolls at a location that is very popular with tourists. I don’t think I had the best lobster roll ever from this place, but it’s pretty good for a restaurant located in one of the most touristic areas of New York. Would I recommend this place? Yes, if you are in a very touristy area of New York and you really want lobster rolls and beer.

This is a splendid spot to enjoy a few drinks or a lobster roll in the South Street Seaport. It offers a number of large outdoor picnic tables(many with umbrellas), as well as an indoor bar and seating area. We only ordered drinks and were happy with the variety offered. Service was friendly but a little on the slower side. That being said, it was so relaxing sitting outdoors on a beautiful evening with the breeze that blows through the space that we were in no rush! The most popular food ordered seemed to be the lobster roll, fries, and big pretzel. This would be a great spot for a large group, as many of the picnic tables could seat 10 adults easily!

The lobster salad? Amazing. The service? Terrible. I had to get up twice to get her attention after 15 minutes went by. First to get a menu; Second, to place the order. It bothered me even more that other people got seated and their menus at the same time. Terrible. Never going back.

This is a great option for those wanting to soak in the uniqueness of South Street Seaport without feeling too prissy. It’s a comfortable atmosphere with a sunny, yacht-club vibe. Not sure how else to describe it. ;) PROS: + Good happy hour deals($ 5 wine! Yay!) + Extensive beer, wine, and spirits list + Outdoor seating + Lovely fresh air from the nearby river + Close to transit + Attentive staff + Food options looked great, but I was only there for drinks(group ordered a pretzel, but I didn’t have any; looked great, though) CONS: — Cocktails not included in happy hour — …nope, that’s it! :)

Came here for drinks and thankfully you can take them outside to drink in the nice weather on huge picnic tables. The staff was attentive and quick to make your drinks. They also asked if you were sitting inside or outside. A little pricey but what do you expect from NYC? They’re pretty average when it comes to cocktail prices($ 12 for cocktails and I think $ 6 – 8 for a beer). Bathrooms are roomy and clean. Only downfall is there were only two stalls and they had quite the line.
