Good lunch special 8 $ for soup/salad, App and entrée. I came here often for Lunch for the great deal and quick service. I haven’t gone back since the manager was extremely stingy about their hot sauce. My coworker and I requested hot sauce on the side and our waiter had to ask his manager if it’s ok. Came back with a like a table spoon for us to share. Will not be returning.

I have been to this place a couple of times for after work happy hour. They have very nice happy hour. The bartenders Harry and Alex are very friendly. Lobster pot stickers are yummy. Sushi is good. Drinks are good. Overall nice place. They let u play your music. What else you expect from an Asian sushi place.

Love the ambiance here, the decorations are really peaceful. The running water is very calming, but I’m not a big fan of the lighting here. It’s kind of orange/red. Got the drunken noodles, they were ok. Not my favorite. I wasn’t all that tempted to try their sushi for some reason. They had good drinks here though. The prices here are very reasonable, especially for NYC. Portions are decent. Staff was nice, and quick. I’m not sure I would pick this place to come back to though.

Good food. Cheap price. Cute décor. Serves alcohol. Ideal for a dinner with a friend or a date. The service was a little slow, but the staff is friendly.

Dropped by here with some friends at Baruch. Overall, it’s a small space, dim lighting, staircase to the second floor and high ceilings with exposed brick. Casual and generally on the quieter side. Offers a variety of Thai and sushi. Service was quick and efficient, and there wasn’t much wait for a table or for food. My friend and I both ordered the pad thai(his with chicken, mine with shrimp) The portions were just about perfect, and they were quite generous with the shrimp on my plate, but I think i could have eaten more… maybe i should have also ordered a roll to share as well. A solid place to stop by after class /work for a bite with friends!

I’ve been sitting her for 45 minutes at lunch time waiting for my food. Any business should know that you need to provide quick service for lunch meals as people need to get back to their jobs. This was my first time eating here and will definitely be my last! Update: After 50 minutes and us having to inquire on our order the waiter comes over to tell us that one of our orders wasn’t available because they ran out. We ended up just walking out at that point and getting take out to eat at our desks.

They have several locations around the city. I choose this location because I was celebrating my birthday at Ganservoorth Park right around the corner after dinner. I was with a party of 12 people, and the food was pretty okay. The prices are pretty cheap, but the one thing that saved us a ton of money is that they allowed us to BYOB(def a plus)! I would def go back to this place for lunch.

a group of 9 of us stopped by for lunch on a sunday. they had lots of open seats(is that a bad sign?) so we were seated easily. Food: their lunch specials were pretty good deals! –teriyaki salmon bento box: the salmon was good. a lil dry but tasty. i liked how they kept some skin on. the shumai were average. The salmon roll was pretty good. it’ll leave you full for about $ 15-$ 16(taxtipincluded) –thai crispy chicken: the chicken was actually really well cooked with a nice crisp on the outside. The sauce was good too… but it was very FAMILIAR… until i realized it tasted exactly like Mae Ploy International Sweet Chili Sauce(and they added some pineapple chunks). i mean, i love that sauce. but i think they could be a lil more creative with«thai» –drunken noodles w/chicken: not bad for a place that’s not thai, but nothing amazing. –sashimi: i did not try it, but my friend who ordered it said it wasn’t bad, but she didn’t end up finishing it. Was she full??? or was it bad??? we’ll never know… –salad and miso soup: good! it should always be good. if you mess this up… tsk tsk price: not bad for lunch special with sushi Did i love it? no. Did I hate it? no. Would I come back? probably not. so many options in the city! just walk a few more blocks…(unless someone was else was paying for me.)

I’ve made this mistake before, but I did it again: DONOT order Thai food from a Japanese restaurant. I was craving some noodles and sushi, so I went all out and ordered the Three Rolls lunch special as well as Pad Thai from Amber Kips Bay. I live about 1.5 miles away from Amber, and the delivery took 85 minutes. I had to call the restaurant to inquire about the whereabouts of my food, was put on hold for 15 minutes, and finally got an answer that the delivery man had left and on the way. When the food finally arrived, the Pad Thai and the miso soup were served cold. The sushi was lukewarm. Amber, you lost me here already. The food also tasted bad, especially the Pad Thai. I got the beef pad thai, and not only was it EXTREMELY dry and bland, but even the lime wedge on the side was all dried out and didn’t have any juice. The pad thai basically had a couple pieces of meat, all noodles, and no real eggs, bean sprouts, or other vegetables. The sushi rolls were okay. I got them with brown rice, and I was pleased that Amber didn’t upcharge me $ 0.50/roll for substituting for brown rice like most other places. The fish to rice ratio was satisfying, but I really hated that the sushi rolls tasted lukewarm from taking forever to be delivered. The eel was really fatty and not enough cucumber to balance out the texture.

I ordered on GrubHub at 12:18. It is now 1:33 and the food is still not here. My lunch break ends at 2:00pm. If the food ever shows up, I’ll update this review with the quality of it. At the moment, however, I am PISSED. UPDATE: I received my order around 2:30pm…more than 2 hours after I ordered it. The place is about 6 blocks away from my job. I was hungry and I was pissed and I even called Grub Hub to have them deal with this. The food wasn’t even good. At least I got $ 15 credit from Grub Hub for having to deal with this poor excuse of a restaurant. NEVERAGAIN.

Don’t order Seamless delivery from here. In fact, second guess if you get what you order. I ordered the Salmon Fantasy sushi dinner from here and instead of REAL salmon sushi, they gave me SMOKEDSALMON. I have never in my sushi life been so insulted by Amber’s disrespect. It tasted like shit too. SMOKEDSALMON over rice decorated with little green things to make it look like real sushi. PLACEDOESNTGIVEREALSUSHI. THEYGIVEYOUSMOKEDSALMOMFORSALMOMSUSHI. DONTORDER.

A sushi place that has ample room for a Saturday night and good sushi to boot. For starters, we got the Spicy Salmon Pancake(delicious it’s like a sushi pizza), and the Rock Shrimp. For the meal, we went«overboard» and got 2 specialty rolls: The Golden Dragon(wouldn’t recommend if you’re not into sweets or mango) and the Green Dragon(would definitely recommend), in addition to the Baltimore and the Spicy Sea Scallops(both wouldn’t recommend, not because they were bad but outshined by the Green Dragon). Overall, decent spot and good alternative if the more popular sushi spot around the corner is packed.

About my order delivered through seamless: Slow delivery. Said 25 – 40 minutes but arrived 55 min after order was confirmed. This set me up for disappointment, but… I got the crunchy tuna and eel avocado handrolls, and they were delicious! The mackerel sashimi wasn’t too bad either, but it was nothing special. I was overall pleasantly surprised and would recommend if you’re not super hungry at the moment or on a time crunch.

Food here is great. Very fusion. I had the Rock shrimp. Seems like all places do it the same. Can’t really mess crispy shrimp slathered in spicy mayo. Bartend here is great. Knows his drinks and very friendly. Trung i think his name was. Cool guy. Definitely made the experience here better. Décor is a bit weird.

*** Delivery service review *** Standard delivery service. It gives you the option of soup or salad, but I ended up getting both PLUS an option for dumpling, shumai, or egg roll! It was great quality delivery food and I would order here again.

I may have had a binge fest at Amber, and I regret none of it. I’ve always known about Amber, but never tried it. It’s a pretty restaurant inside, the playlist is great, it’s sleek, modern, and even has a big Buddha statue to mimic Tao. For a Saturday night at 7:30 it wasn’t busy just yet, but by the time I left, the bar had quite the busy scene going on. The food is certainly a fun fusion cuisine and it’s very good and reasonably priced. Edamame is a huge portion, hot and sour soup is very flavorful, and the spicy kani salad was pretty much bomb. It wasn’t drenched in mayo and packed a nice kick from the spice. The portion was very large too. I also enjoyed the spicy tuna tempura roll appetizer which was a bigger roll, deep fried, but not as large as a special roll. The fish was very fresh, the sauces were great, the dish itself was excellent. For my entrée I ordered the Sangria Crispy Duck and it was very meaty! I haven’t had duck in forever and this hit the spot. I also sampled the Black Pepper Steak which was good and like my duck dish, super meaty. Throughout the dinner, we kept ordering hot sake after hot sake, after hot sake. At the end of the meal, they brought us a complementary hot sake to continue the drink flow! A little freebie, and a great gesture.

I really had a great time here last Saturday, great food and cocktails together with the company of my closest friends. I love the elegance of this place, dim, cozy and hip. The background music is just about right. The staff are impressive; great customer service and attentiveness. I ordered Lychee-tini cocktail to start the night of and it was very refreshing. I shared Sushi and Sashimi platter for 2 with my husband it includes 10 pieces sashimi and 8 pieces sushi(chef’s selection) crunchy spicy tuna roll, kani caviar with cucumber and perfect match roll. The raw fish is fresh and delicious. They served it in a humongous plate and we both found it substantial and really enjoyable. When we asked for the bill, the waiter came back with a complimentary sake bomb to cap the night. Lovely evening indeed, do come over and experience it if you happen to be in the area.
