I smell so good. No, really. I can’t stop smelling myself. And by «myself» I mean the insane Aesop creams I’ve recently massaged on my body. I hadn’t heard much about Aesop skincare, but after strolling into this West Village location and sampling the black pepper hand cream… I was hooked. The cream was different from any I’ve smelled/experienced before. And after a week of debating the purchase, I finally caved. The sales girl was kind and personable without being pushy. You could tell she really believed in the products. This is definitely not your most affordable skincare line(hence the week-long debate), but you’re paying for high quality, natural ingredients. And the body creams come in various sizes and price points. The camellia nut face cream is also great but none of the face creams contain SPF which is kind of a bummer. You have to purchase that separately. But if you’ve got sensitive skin like me and are tired of reacting to the artificial chemicals in everyday creams, it’s worth it.

I have been very curious about this line and never really explored or experimented with it. We wandered into this shop on a Saturday night and had a lot of fun trying all the soaps and lotions. They all smell really nice and are very moisturizing. The sales person was lovely and super helpful. Needless to say, we made several purchases.

Super friendly and knowledgable staff! Went in to check out the store design(which is beautiful) and walked out with 3 things. Awesome experience!

No different than any other Aesop. Guess thats the way its supposed to be with chains. Friendly service, not as knowledgeable as some of the other locations. I hate the rip off prices of this crap. $ 60 for soap? Really. Ugh. Girlfriends.

Odd reviews. I’m not white or thin but they were perfectly fine with me. I also probably knew a bit more about the products than some of them, but I was just looking to try a few things and buy something rather than be served at length or hear an exposition on how awesome Aesop is. It’s also super expensive — but given that people buy the products, clearly not too expensive.

I went to the Bleeker St. store today excited to have the shop close to home. I have used Aesop products for years and my skin responds well to them. My experience today was a total buzz kill and I left feeling embarrassed for the company. The sales person had little knowledge of the product. I knew more about the line then she did. The store is not set up for a costomer to shop by one self. None of the product lines are labled by group very difficult to know what your looking at.
