It kind of breaks my heart to leave a crappy review for this place, because the guy who runs it seems like a real sweetheart. The first job I brought was for simple hems on two maxi dresses. No problem. The second job was to repair a hole in another dress. My favorite dress. Which he then lost. The first time I went in to get it, I was told to come back in an hour.(The place is a mess with clothes strewn everywhere.) So I did. I was then told to come back the following day. Which I did. That day I was told to come back on Monday. Then Tuesday. Then the following week, as he thought it might have been sent to the cleaners erroneously. You get the picture. Eventually I put my foot down and said that he’d have to compensate me, which he did, sort of($ 40 on a ~$ 75 dress) and apologetically. But don’t bring your stuff here unless you’re prepared to sit and watch him do the repair yourself. My favorite dress. Sigh.

I felt I need to leave a review to warn others of the TERRIBLE job they did with 3 very simple hems. Two pants and a dress. The seams are puckered and they hang like shit. Made a $ 200 black jcrew suiting dress look like a Halloween costume. Could not believe my eyes… And $ 35 too. Don’t even trust them enough to take it back and have them fix it. I’d rather just pay to get a real professional to fix my items. It’s that bad. The previous Unilocal reviews must be either fake or for a different guy doing the work. Horrible.

Great spot walked in and they hemmed my pants while I waited. So quick. Great prices!

Wonderful work and great prices. I have been here twice for tailoring. The first time was just to get a simple hem done; the second time was to bring in a dress I bought a size too big. He did both perfectly and within a couple hours of me dropping them off. The other reviewer mentioned his English skills– I speak no spanish and have had no problem communicating with him. While I don’t think his English is perfect, he definitely understood what I wanted.

This place recently changed its name from KIW Fashion to Adelso. Even though the sign mistakenly says Adelso«Taylor,» the guy who runs this place is actually a great tailor. I’ve brought him several sets of pants and he’s very affordable and does a solid job. Only problem? He speaks no English, so you’re going to have to improvise if you don’t know Spanish. I know a little, but mostly we just communicate with hand gestures. One time I brought in two pairs of pants, one that I liked and one that I wanted tailored. Then I said something about«exactamente por favor» and he understood. The result was a great set of pants that pretty much matched the ones I liked. Oh yeah, and he’s cheap. I also take all my dry cleaning here. So if you’re looking for a quality«taylor» in the neighborhood and don’t mind the language barrier, this is a great place.
