This multimedia sensory experience was disturbing but a uniquely singular shadow puppet-projector filled nightmare the likes of which I have never experienced. The only reason I am subtracting one star is because the subject matter left me unnerved but the execution of what I saw was technically masterful and involved a blending of media that I would never have imagined. This was essentially a shadow puppet, projector-based, delusion that caused me to experience many emotions, but those primarily of the negative variety. For the majority of the one hour show, I genuinely felt as If I was in an absinthe-induced hallucination but despite watching several women play twin septuagenarians via shadows and projectors, the special effects and various media, instruments and sounds used to convey a whole other world was something I cannot do justice to in this review. It was a confusing feeling to both respect the skill that went into the endeavor but also want to cry from fear and confusion. This show has been extended through July 26th and while I respect the thought and creativity behind the project, I would not return to see it as it is too confusingly depressing.
