Stumbled upon this place randomly and pointed at the pork. Also asked for yucca, and paid $ 6 total(the entrée with rice and beans is $ 5; note you can also opt for lentils instead of beans, which were also great). The pork turned out to be pork belly, and it’s awesome. The rice also had a very satisfying texture to it; not overcooked and mushy like many of these type of places tend to end up with. This is going to be my new regular lunch place.

Hole in the wall is right! But good price, good food, and good location. I recommend for when you have time, line is a little long at times but moves. They also have special dishes, they come unannounced but one day they had a lasagna fresh baked. All of their food is prepared in the little kitchen in the back and the aroma coming out lets you know the food is good.

Definition of hole-in-the-wall. Apparently this is «Loading Dock» #2, after similar El Sabroso got too expensive. This place is a popular lunch spot for those who want a taste of «home.» I came here on a Tuesday when they serve Tripe over Rice, and they gave me a huge portion for $ 5 cash. If you like tripe you’ll like it, but for me it was a bit too heavy and fatty. I would come back and try another meat on rice dish next time.
