Not bad pizza at all for cheap prices and amazing hours. Great place to stop whenever I’m in need of a quick pizza fix.

Good pizza deal. Two slices and a can of Coke for $ 2.75. Quick fast and pretty tasty.

I’m hungover after a typical night out with fellow Unilocaler Jenny S. This slice of pizza may have just saved my actual life. I’m a fatso and a slice of pizza is not a meal for me. It’s kind of an appetizer while walking to get real food. This, like most dollar slices, was minimal cheese and sauce. Don’t expect to feel like you’re back in Milan. But if you’re waking or broke, this will hit the spot.

Doesn’t really get better for a box. I was expecting it to be shitry since it’s right next to time square and was quite impressed. If you’re around there make sure to grab a bite.

It’s .99 cent pizza! It’s open 24⁄7. One piece is big enough to hang off your plate slightly. It had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese and grease. For the random, cheap pizza in NY, it’s worth the $ 1 to get a cheese slice here. Just make sure it’s hot! The inside is not super clean. The workers are not overly friendly. But who cares, it’s .99 cent pizza!

Can’t count the number of times I’ve gotten dollar pizza from here… It’s open 24/7, cash only. It’s $ 1 for a plain cheese and 50 cents for each additional topping. They only have four toppings: extra cheese, pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. I always get sausage and mushroom pizzas at $ 1.50 each. If you get two toppings on one pizza, it’s going to be $ 2. It’s greasy, hot, fresh and cheap. Even the crust is good and I usually never eat the crust. Make sure not to let your slice sit too long or else it gets soggy and unappetizing.

I came by here 2 nights ago, when my friend wanted to grab a slice on the way to a bar and it quickly reminded me of the very many times that this place came through in the clutch on my nights out. A times that I came through to Yotel, or even made the walk all the way out to Pacha, this place had my back, with the wonderful party hopping or even getting ready to head home, slices. I always make sure to add some hot sauce because their slices taste extra good with it and they’re always stocked with a bunch of different toppings. I’ve seen some wild stuff go down here too. I remember one time especially, as I was waiting for my slice, this crazy women picked up a suitcase, ran out into the middle of the street and just threw it at a taxi. Good times man, good times. lol

Was visiting NYC during the first blizzard in January. This place was probably the only pizza joint open after 3pm in the entire midtown area. Pizza’s nothing to write home about but did a great job soaking up all the beer I drank!

On the go? Great stop for a pick me up for little cash. Quick too. Fast paced atmosphere on my side of the counter left the floor a bit trashed but I am confident of the cleanliness of the food area and equipment was up to par. Didn’t worry at all. I would return. Thanks guys!

Exactly what the sign says, super-cheap slices of pizza. Note that only a basic cheese slice is 99 cents, and other variants(extra cheese, mushroom, etc) cost more like $ 1.49. Still affordable. It’s literally a hole in the wall and there is only a little standing room inside and out, but the pizza’s speed and quality is excellent.

People usually say no great decisions are made after midnight? I beg to differ… 2 slices of pizza for a dollar each? Oh helloooo

Just the fact that this place is open very late and is located on one of the busiest streets in Hell’s Kitchen places it up there as one of my favorite pizza places I’ve ever been to. It is located right across the street from the dive bar in my previous review. I was hungry and it was late. So I walked across the street and ordered two Italian sausage pizza slices No joke– $ 2.18 and less than a minute later I damn near fainted at the gloriousness that was in my mouth. It was greasy and full of New York character. I love that pizza like Garfield loves lasagna. When I go back, I will definitely eat here again– just not as late at night since I will most likely have my kids with me.

It was quick, it was $ 1, it was hot, and it was tasty. What more do you want? It wasn’t the best $ 1 slice and it wasn’t the worst and I’d have no trouble going back. I was in and out in under 30 seconds.

OK, I admit Ive been here a million times. I lived a block or two away and walked by here twice a day on the way to work. More often on weekends. So I tried it once, sober, and fell in love. I think this pizza is great. Its cheap so I usually pick up a slice for whatever homeless person is loitering in the area too. I cant say Ive been here late night or drunk, so no idea how the pizza is then. But if you are hungry and in the area this is a fine way to have a slice. You’ll eat on the street, its a window you walk up to. They only sell pizza and sodas as far as I know. I never bought anything other than 2 slices, one for me and another for the aforementioned homeless person. Cost $ 2. Cant be beat. (Are there better pizzas, yes. Are there worse one, yes. Are there better locations? Maybe. But is there better pizza for $.99 near Port Authority that’s always hot and fresh? NO.)

The Scene: 3:30am on a Saturday night The heroes: Myself, my brother and a friend of mine(both from out of town) Supporting characters: Random girl trying to buy a hat(?) Story: My brother and friend were hungry after a night of bar hopping and decided to grab a quick slice. Against my suggestion, they both decided to order two slices with four toppings(pepperoni, sausage, olives, and something unidentifiable). They each ended up being charged $ 18 for two slices, making it $ 36 for FOUR slices– being told something about the charges for the toppings they ordered. I regret not having been paying attention during the transaction because the cashier definitely took advantage of their out-of-town(and incredibly drunk) bewilderment. Meanwhile, I was standing behind a girl who was getting angry at the length of our line and huffed, «The girl in front of me is trying to buy a hat.» Sure enough, a girl was standing at the counter harassing an employee about wanting to buy a hat. While this place clearly ripped my brother and friend off, they were bizarrely patient in explaining to the confused woman that they, «don’t sell hats, but could sell her some delicious pizza instead.» They sure know how to hustle.

Open 24⁄7. Every visit, my farewell to New York snack on my way to the 42nd Port Authority is stopping at 99 Cent. It is a tribal ritual for me. I am mesmerized by walking down the street, eating and experiencing a real time romance of being in the blockbuster movie, «Saturday Night Fever.» John Travolta’s Tony Manero in «Saturday Night Fever» layered one slice on top of another so he could eat two at the same time while walking. I hear the Bee Gees lyrics and melody behind me as I walk to the 43nd Street MTA station. It goes like, «Listen to the ground: there is movement all around. There is something goin’ down and I can feel it…» I really don’t carry out and walk. Rather, I stand w/my roller Tumi and eat in the store, with that crazy lady you hope you’re mom won’t turn out to be, and enjoy the heartbeat of Hell’s Kitchen. I do remember Tony and the Bee Gees, yes, my OG times in New York. Really it’s a great slice of pizza, regardless if it’s only 99 Cent! Worth every penny.

For 99 cent pizza, it did the job. It’s also a really cheap NYC experience so why not give it a shot? Also, it is usually fresh out of the oven with a nice, doughy crust. It got the job done: hunger avoided. Tip: toppings are 50 cent extra!

Well, it’s not Di Fara good but it’s not Chef Boy-Ar-Dee pizza kit awful either and what do you really expect for 99¢? I think if I were walking down the street hungry, I’d much rather have a slice of this for less than a buck than a Gray’s Papaya dog for a buck ninety-five! The slices are usually very fresh, like right-from-the-oven fresh due to the price-based high turnover rate and the multitudes of broke-ass low-lifes that abundantly proliferate the area who are mainly responsible for the aforementioned turnover. The crust is either very light and airy like Singa’s, or just plain undercooked due to the pizza guy’s impatience to get as much product out of the oven to sell to the clamoring hoards as he can. I’m still trying to decide on that one. The sauce and cheese is unremarkable and applied extremely sparingly. The countermen lack any type of asset even slightly resembling charm, but still, they are way more personable than their counterparts up at Koronet. Plus, you’re here for cheap pizza not to make a new friend. So, if you ever find yourself near the slimiest section of the Port Authority area and are in need of a quick, cheap and relatively tasty wad of something to fill that void in your gut, 99¢ Fresh Pizza will surely not disappoint. Still, this is just a one-star joint, though.

This place is alright considering the price you’re paying. How can you say no to $ 0.99 a slice?! The bar wasn’t set too high at all so they easily satisfied my hunger for some NY pie. It’s located behind the port authority right below the Lincoln Tunnel. Conveniently located if you ask me. The guys behind the counter do a bang up job in taking orders and filling them. We ordered a large cheese pie for $ 8.00 and we probably waited all about 5 minutes(and I’m exaggerating here). This place isn’t even in the same realm of the other NY pizza staples but it doesn’t look like they’re hurting for business with the constant foot traffic they bring in. Finding a pizza joint in the city is like finding a Starbucks in California. They’re a dime a dozen and you always have to bring something unique to the table to come out on top. 99 Cents Fresh Pizza may not be the best but is probably is the cheapest.
