Great casual atmosphere with delicious bagels! They have a lot of cream cheese and spread options. Service is a little slow and it would be better if you could order classic egg & cheese bagels.

Disgusting place that surprisingly has an A rating. Saw someone in food prep area wearing a glove and eating with the same hand in plain sight of customers. I walked out and will never return.

Love their strawberry cream cheese spread! As they are one of the only bagels shops to deliver to our location on the Upper West Side, my boyfriend and I have ordered from them several times. Not bad prices and delivery is pretty fast.

Not sure if I’ve ever dealt with a more incompetent business. Ordered delivery, told them I was paying by cash so naturally the guy didn’t bring any change. Could have handled that if the food had been decent but literally took 2 spoonfuls of soup and had to throw it away as it was completely disgusting. What a waste of money.

Bagel was on point but I must say the coffee was weak and had a bitter almost medicine after taste to it. Threw it away and ran over to Starbucks to get that taste out of my mouth… ugh!!!

Best kept bagel secret on the Upper West Side. For breakfast an egg and cheese or lox cream cheese on an everything bagel scooped and toasted is the best. For lunch their tuna salad is amazing. Try to low fat tuna salad on an everything bagel scooped with a pickel and thank me later. Just remember that is place is kosher so no bacon on that egg and cheese of yours.

My daughter and I went here Sunday morning for bagels. We were 2 of 4 people in the store at 8:30am Sunday. Service was therefore fine. Upon biting into her bagel my daughter made a very telling comment: «Daddy, these taste like airport bagels». Yes they do. Not at all remarkable and not a great NY bagel.

72nd I was told is the original place to find good bagels, therefore I stopped in here to try! The shop has multiple choices of bagels, cream cheeses and toppings, I have had the poppy seed, whole wheat and pump nickel which were all tasty however I found the poppy seed quite salty so grab a drink with it! I have only tried the plain cream cheese however if you’re getting salmon and cream cheese try adding in some avocado or a sprinkling of extras to your bagel. I’d recommend having your bagel toasted too as there is nothing better than a warm bagel on a cold winter day! The place is a low key simple shop but there are plenty of seats to sit in and enjoy your bagel and you can pick up a good coffee to go with your bagel, the ice coffee is particularly good, the staff are friendly and super quick and manage to get through the line at some speed! Great place to grab breakfast

For such a popular place, you’d think their bagels and service would be better. When I arrived there last Sunday morning, the line was long, of course, but the counter staff made it worse. They gave at least 3 people in front of me the wrong orders, so when I received mine, I checked to see if it was the everything bagel with nova salmon and cream cheese I’d ordered. No dice, and with an incorrect price to boot. I had to wait even longer for someone to fix the mistake, and when I finally got the correct bagel, the cashier refused to ring me up as the next person in line until the person in front of me’s order was complete. So me and about 7 other people who only bought one bagel, and who would have been out of their hair in 5 minutes max, had to wait an additional 15 minutes because the person at the front of the line ordered for an entire family(6 bagels, side spreads, pastries, coffee, the works). Naturally, the people waiting weren’t happy that they couldn’t eat the bagels they were standing there holding because the cashier refused to ring them up. I’ve never been to another place that wouldn’t expedite a long line by keeping things orderly. Finally sat down to eat, and the seating area is tiny. The floor was filthy, and the tables stayed dirty from hours of use without even a wipe. I bit into my bagel and discovered it wasn’t even worth the wait. The bagel was hard, dry, and cold — the temperature, at least, was unsurprising after the wait — and the lox tasted rubbery. Overall, not worth the price or hassle of coming there.

NYC is the American capital for bagels. But this Kosher bagel deli does not up to the high standards of many bagel-ites in the city. The bagels are very over priced for what comes. Over cooked, very dry, and on the small side. And when you add cream cheese the price soars even more. Staff is rude and brisk(but who care, this is NYC). But the food is just so so. Do yourself a favor and try one of the zillion other bagel institutions in the city. Your tummy will be thankful.

I wouldn’t avoid this place but I wouldn’t pick it as a destination. It was there for me when I was about to pass out from not enough to eat on a hot summer day but, I felt like I was counting minutes trying to stare down someone behind the counter to order and it was like they were all avoiding me taking their sweet time while the line was building up. Perhaps if it was in the country or a place with a bit slower pace of life it’d be fine but I almost left multiple times. Once I got my bagel and grabbed a drink I was so happy I couldn’t complain about the taste.

Idiot Alert! Idiot Alert! Idiot Alert! Idiot Alert! I asked for a toasted bagel with cream cheese, the idiot worker rolls his eyes at me and talks sh! t right in front me, grabs a bread roll and slathers it with cream cheese and tries hand it to me! I repeat what I wanted and this time he make it correctly. As he tried to hand it to me I just walked out the door using some choice obscenities I won’t repeat here!

I’ve been here several times… — Weekday before going to work: Ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with walnut cream cheese, and the cream cheese was definitely sour — Weekends: very long lines Service: staff is very agitated and many don’t speak English. They don’t know the menu and are easily confused by the cost of items. I’ve never really had a positive experience except for the woman that sometimes works the cash register that will thank you for coming. I will definitely be going elsewhere.

Came here in the morning to grab a garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese and lox and it hit the spot! I thought it was big portions, so I shared half with someone! People do suggest getting the Everything Bagel, but I like garlic. So yummy especially when it was toasted. A little on the pricey side, but nothing beats a delicious New york bagel!

I like that they have a lot of cream cheese flavor spreads. They even have an olive cream cheese spread. I tried the walnut raisin on a cinnamon raisin bagel. The bagel was chewy, which I have come to expect from a good city bagel. Next time I wouldn’t get the walnut raisin spread. The spread had a lot of cinnamon in it which overwhelmed the flavor of the bagel. The iced hazelnut coffee was pretty good. It didn’t taste like the kind in which they just add the flavor(sugar). I prefer this type. The line was long, but they keep it moving. For one bagel with cream cheese, plain bagel and large iced coffee it cost $ 9. Another day I got a tuna sandwich and chips and it was about $ 10. They have very steep prices and the prices seem to vary each time. I also wish they had more variety of bagels. I’ll still come here on occasion, but I’m on the hunt for a new bagel shop.

Looking for a great bagel with lox and if you are able to handle standing on line with rude and pretentious upper westsiders this place is perfect. Old style kosher bagel spot open on a Saturday offering up all the great flavors /verities you would expect for a bagel shop located in the heard of jewville.

Moving to a new neighborhood is scary. Where are you going to get your delicious bagels from? Luckily if you live on the Upper West Side, 72nd Street Bagel delivers great bagels in spades. They have all of the makings of a great jewish deli and bagel shop. A wide assortment of spreads, breakfast foods, and of course great bagels. They offer nearly every type, and each is truly a monster, sometimes larger than I can reasonably bite into. They are constantly baking them fresh so you never have to worry about staleness and they even have fun takes for bagels to go including minis, sticks, and flats in a variety of flavors. As a caution, don’t expect to come in here in a rush. There’s almost always a line, and it can get backed up by the register if people are ordering coffee but it’s definitely worth it. I rarely call myself a regularly anywhere, but I’m happy to do that for 72nd Street because it’s just that good.

Standard bagel joint on the Upper West Side. Probably one of the better ones in that neighborhood, but not out of this world like some other places. The service is decent. The ambience is okay. The bagels are good, but nothing to write home about. The coffee was a little weak. It feels a little bit like a cafeteria and could use some uppity charm. I think the place needs some TLC, but maybe that’s part of the draw.

During my 13 month stay on the UWS, I had my soul crushed. I grew up in New Jersey. To say I love bagels is an understatement. I credit bagels and beer with my downward spiral away from Paleo-ism. Finding a good bagel in the Lincoln Square area of the UWS must be akin to spotting a unicorn. Let’s just say I never found it. These bagels are«fine.» That being said, I want a smaller, doughier bagel. Quite frankly, I found these bagels slightly too big and a little too bread like. Not my thing. Service is fine but the location doesn’t have a lot of flow when the line gets long.
