I was looking for a simple cut. I have a short pixie cut and just needed it tightened up. All the other salons in the area were charging exorbitant prices for a women’s haircut. I passed by this location and decided to stop in. They took me without hesitation. I showed the barber some photos and was very specific about what I was looking for. Twenty minutes and $ 20 later I had exactly the cut I wanted. There was no chit chat and it was an in-and-out process. I paid cash so I cannot substantiate the other review, however I will say that I enjoyed my experience here. If you are going looking for a social interaction this is not the location for you. If you are looking for a clean cut, I highly recommend this barber shop.

I must say I definitely had a different experience than the last reviewer. I went in here for a general cute the other day and the barber was very professional. I will agree that there was no small talk, but that’s fine by me as I would rather have them paying attention to cutting my hair rather than paying attention to me conversing. My cut and wash was very good and I will definitely be back as $ 20 for a wash and cut is pretty in good in my book. To add, I did overhear another customer ask if they take credit card and they indicated that they did not, so they must have stopped taking them recently.
Never A.

IFYOUHAVETOGOHERE, PAYWITHCASH SHORTSTORY: According to 7 Hanover Square Barber Shop, $ 20 + $ 3 = $ 26.28 LONGSTORY: Barber(1) cuts my hair. Pretty simple haircut: Men’s short. Zero conversation was had but that’s not a big deal to me at all. He’s washing my hair and commands me, not asks politely, to lower my head even further into the sink. Whatever, the haircut is going well so far, minus the clippers that keep pulling my hair. Finally he finishes and mutters, «Twenty dollars.» I ask if they take credit cards and he confirms that they do. I am lead over to where Barber(2) is cutting another’s hair. Barber(1) tells Barber(2) to run my card. Barber(1) asks me if I want to add a tip. Awkward but I gesture with my fingers AND say«Three». He states something in an Eastern European language to Barber(1) and my receipt is given to me. You think the total would have been $ 23.00. I sign it seeing that I was charged $ 26.28. That’s odd, I think to myself, but these guys are stern and intimidating so it’s not worth bringing up. I chickened out of there, I admit. My bet is that it was intentionally punched in with a few cents to feign a tax of some sort(Salons and Barbershops usually charge an even rate, meaning zero cents). No receipt was given to me. Bottom line is, yes, I could have not signed and demanded they correct the mis-charge but it’s only a few bucks. I think the important take away from this place is that they have a dishonest practice of overcharging a customer and thinking there won’t be any consequence. The city has plenty of other places that deserve your business.
