Kate has been cutting my hair for the last 6 months and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service. Professional and courteous, and always excellent attention to detail. The salon is small and a bit cramped, but the lower rent gets you a great deal for a men’s wash/​cut, only $ 25. Best value in the neighborhood.

I was in NYC from out of town and I needed a haircut. The reviews on Unilocal and the proximity to my hotel led me to try this shop, with the end result being an excellent haircut, I asked Jessica to follow the line of my usual haircut (which I was always pleased with.). Amazingly, Jessica improved upon my prior haircuts. Dare I say the end result was a «cut» above? Wish I was always in the city when I needed a haircut.

I had tried a handful of barbers in NYC and my hair was screwed up every time. So a few friends recommended a barber shop on 44th, so I thought I’d give it a try. I walked into 44th Street Barber Shop and sat down in Nazie’s chair. Hands down best hair cut I’ve ever received. When I thanked my friends for the recommendation, turns out they were talking about a different place on 44th street but when they saw what a great job Nazie did on my hair, they all moved to Nazie too. I’ve now been coming here for about 6 months now and See Nazie every time! I’ve never had a better haircut! She listens to what you want and is consistent — gets it right every time. I’d follow her wherever she goes — lifelong customer here! Highly recommend her!
