This place is horrible — buyer beware! They nearly doubled the price they quoted me when I walked in the door. They also force you to pay in all cash(the owner actually told me he doesn’t pay taxes) and he told me that I needed to go to an ATM so I could pay him the extra money. I’ve never had a bad salon experience before and this one left me nearly in tears. Avoid at all costs!!!

There are definitely some funny quirks about this«salon.» For example, it’s cash only but they will tell you where every bank’s ATM is within a 3 block radius. Also, I always see some old school Italian men come in to get their hair cut and colored by the male staff. It’s always some horrid style per the client’s request. Black shoe polish colored hair and eyebrows were never in, were they? The dynamic is interesting — the men work on one side and the women are in a flurry working on the other at their own stations, laughing among themselves. There’s lots of chit chat, which I like and expect when I get my hair done. So far this is my favorite place to get my hair cut and colored. I’ve never been happier with my hair in my life, to be honest. The blow outs don’t last as long as you’d like. However, they are quick workers and it’s reasonably priced. I go to Star but the rest of the stylists seem knowledgeable and fun too. If you end up busying up her schedule, I’ll be mad but not that mad — only if you tip her well!

They are very nice. Salon is in a great area, they keep it low key, no fanfare, but they provide exceptional courtesy and my hair never looked better.

I’ve only had positive experiences at Antonio’s — I enjoy the traditional/old-school vibe and friendly atmosphere. I go to Antonio himself and recommend him for men’s cuts, he’s never let me down.
