The two stars are for the wonderful experience that I’d had within the salon. The hair stylist, who spoke english, was great to chat with while I had my mani/pedi. The Nail technician was sweet, just quiet and shy with english probably slightly better than my spanish. The technician did a great job, my nails look lovely and I had enjoyed myself in the salon. The pedi chairs are in very good shape and actually work! The salon was clean and in a location that afforded fun people watching on Lex. The salon lost the 3 stars because about an hour after I’d left, the owner called and accused me of using my groupon at a prior visit, but it was my FIRST time there! Plus, I had redeemed the groupon right in front of the stylist, and she had looked at it, taken down the number before I’d redeemed it as well. I’d even said out loud, just to be clear, «Ok should I redeem it now?» The owner just didn’t believe me and it really ruined the experience. I couldn’t believe it, the stylist had seen my new groupon, watched me redeem it, then the owner(who apparently must redeem it herself on her computer) called me and accused me of this. If it weren’t for that phone call, the salon would have received 4 stars at least.

Wandered in thinking it was black label next store… But instead… Sloppy manicure — broke skin when trimming the cuticles, painted my finger more than my nail, clipped too much of my nails off… Frustrating. ANDWAYTOOEXPENSIVE for the neighborhood. $ 14 for a simple manicure when the normal neighborhood price is $ 10.

Racist and overpriced — I went with my boyfriend. He is tall and black. I am blonde and white. The older woman spent the whole time making comments and laughing about him, his feet and his size. She was rude and offensive. They charged $ 75.00 for a basic pedicure and refused to take credit cards. After reading the prices in these other posts, I now believe the real owner was not there and these women were running a scam. The place is small and not very clean. It would not be worth it even at a normal price.

owner is NASTY. she is mean, and there is a reason why this salon is always empty. very expensive for a manicure that doesn’t last.

Happened to go here because Black label nail spa(which was next door and do mani/pedis for $ 30) was extremely crowded and the wait was an hour. I walked in and the young lady I approached was very nice and took care of me immediately. I had a typical mani and pedicure. Cost was $ 42 plus tax totally $ 45. Kinda pricey for a simple nail job but I didn’t have to wait and it was done well. My only complaint was the older woman, who I guess is the store owner, she needs to be a little more nicer to her customers, particularly those of color. I mention this because I told the younger woman I will be paying with my credit card and the older woman jumped in the conversation stating that tips have to be in cash, so I explain to her that, thats fine with me and I tip the young lady twice the amount she deserved and yet while I was signing my receipt, the older woman ask the the young lady if I tip her enough(In chinese of course. lol little did they know I speak chinese and mandarin) My point is, if they ever read this comment, don;t pass judgement and discriminate against people of color, its rude and bad for business. This is New York City and I have many, many nail places to chose from. My pedicure last two weeks and my mani last about 6 days. I don’t think I will be returning there again.

I love this place! I come all the time… The staff are friendly and do a great job on your nails. I’ve never had a bad experience and the little massages are wonderful! I continue to go back to this place because of the great service and I think its very reasonable and clean.

They do a good job. Favorite part: The little massages while your nails are drying. They’re particularly good here. Small shop, friendly staff, rarely anyone in here when I go – could be because there’s a glut of these places in the area. Seems pretty clean and the manicurists/pedicurists are obviously trying to do a good job – not totally bored with what they do. Mon-Wed its 32(with tax) for a mani/pedi. Its right around the corner from work, so lately this is my «go to.»
