Horrible customer service & horrible quality cleaners!
Not only do they wash everything together (thanks for giving my white pants a blue tint), they don’t care at all about how they fold them– my bras were squashed at the bottom of the pile, under towels and other heavy items.
I continued to go here when desperate but my recent experience put me over the edge. I brought in a 10 pound bag of laundry, including t-​shirts, sheets and a large (in size not weight) blanket. She weighed it, charged me and I went on my way. When I got my laundry the next day, she said they didn’t clean my blanket, that’s an extra $ 35. So not only did I pay for the weight of the blanket (even though it was never cleaned!!!) she literally yelled at me saying I can’t put blankets in with normal laundry. AND REFUSED TO GIVE MY MONEY BACK FOR THE WEIGHT OF THE BLANKET.
She could have done her job and asked questions when I dropped the laundry off, she could have called me when she noticed the blanket, she could have said, this time we’ll do it for you, she could have at least refunded me for services she failed to provide… But she did none of the above.
HORRIBLE BUSINESS– I urge everyone to stay away. There are plenty of other launderers who charge the same rates, pick-​up/​deliver and are wayyyyyy higher quality.

It’s great for dropping off laundry in the AM and having it done after work the same day. They even delivered to my Apartment lobby. Unfortunately, I will never go back because of one encounter where they held my laundry hostage. I dropped my laundry off in the AM on my way to work expecting to have it ready in the lobby of my apartment building when I got home. It was not there when I arrived and it was too late to contact them because they already closed (not to mention my only bed sheets were in that load of laundry). The next afternoon they brought my laundry in the lobby with a note saying «We misweighed your laundry, please bring us 6 $».

They recently ruined my roommates dress. Since she does not Unilocal,I will have to do my roommate duties and report the transgression for her.
It looks like they tore a patch about 1 sq inch in size on the back of her dress near a seam. How they managed it, we could not figure out since it was not even near an edge and they would have to use very considerable force to create the patch of now frayed, see-​through fabric. Extremely sad since this dress was awesome, but not too surprising since I’d seen the quality of their work before. Definitely not going back.

We recently moved into the neighborhood and are always a little weary of going somewhere with no Unilocal reviews. Being that this wash and fold was literally right across the street from us… well… I live on the edge and thought I would give it a try. I felt especially feeling daring as they just scribbled my name on a pad and handed me a receipt that only said“Jessica” and the total. After being used to having my info entered into a computer and getting a little printed receipt at our last place, I was worried. But my concerns were unfounded.
THE GOOD. This place is efficient and well-​priced. If you drop off your clothes by about 9am, everything will be ready after 6pm and the total (even with taxes and what-​not) has always been under a dollar a pound for me. I have not had any problems with ripped, stained, shrunk, or lost clothing, so this place is pretty solid.
THE (not-​so) BAD. It is *cash only* and, in a city where I feel like there are more atms than can possibly be utilized, there happened to not be a Chase close enough that I could get there and back in the 10 minutes before they closed (7pm on weeknights).
I originally gave the place 3 stars but over the past few months of using the cleaners, I have had no problems in the least. I am happy regular!
