Ugh. This is frustrating to even write. I went to this place for a while when I first moved in, just for my wash and fold services. A few months ago, I had my very nice Theory jacket and a banana republic one brought in. When I got them back, they were absolutely destroyed. They smelled like absolute B-O even though I can’t possibly smell that bad. The banana republic jacket was ripped and had to be thrown out. Just never again. I only gave it 2 stars because my experience with the owner was always positive, and I mistakenly didn’t try to fight to get a refund so I don’t know what his reaction would have been then. If anyone can recommend a decent place in the Murray Hill area I would appreciate it because I have had zero luck so far.

The other reviewers gave this business 1 star. That is because you have to give it SOME rating or you cannot post. DONOTUSETHISBUSINESS. If the owner hasn’t scammed or lied to you yet, he will. I always felt that I was being ripped off when I brought my dry cleaning in. The owner, who is Asian, always said his prices were what the other dry cleaners charged. When I fiinally checked I found that his prices are, in fact, higher. So he lied. But…since the dryers in my building are broken I took some bulkier laundry into Debonair Cleaners to wash & fold. I brought it to them in one of those large net cloth laundry baskets so you can see what is in there. When I brought my laundry in the Asian owner picked the net bag UP, so it was at eye level, to put it on the scale and told me that it would cost $ 16.75. He commented on how light it was. When I called 2 days later to have it delivered to my apt., he told me that it would be $ 26.75 because I had blankets in there and I didn’t tell him! BTW, I only had towels and blankets so it was pretty clear when you looked at the basket there were blankets in there. Why didn’t he tell me that blankets cost more? I feel that because I had asked about pricing he knew I would not leave my laundry there if he quoted a price too high. In retrospect, I feel that he knew exactly what he was doing. The owner thinks that it is common sense that blankets cost more because«blankets take longer to dry». Really? It is not common sense because experience tells me that when I do my own laundry, blankets actually take less time to dry because they are so light. These are throw blankets, not heavy duty bed blankets. Which would account for the lightness that he commented on earlier. If it is supposed to be common sense for someone who never sends her laundry out then it should be common sense to someone who weighs laundry for a living to question why a full basket is so light! So much for common sense on his part. He also said he hardly charged me because blankets are usually $ 25 ea. What a SCAMMER he is. Any good business owner knows that once you quote a price to one of your customers, you don’t charge more and piss the customer off. Especially for $ 10. And yes, this man could and did turn real nasty real fast. I never thought he had a pleasant personality like the other reviewer thought but I do agree about his nastiness. Bottom line. DONOTGO, DONOTTRUST. Tell all your friends. This goes up in my lobby. Its time that bad business people start to pay for their bad actions instead of good, loyal customers.

OVERPRICED, POORJOBOFCLEANINGANDEVENWORSEDRYCLEANING. They send dry cleaning to another place that doesn’t treat clothes properly and will be returned in a much worse state than before. They wash your underwear with other peoples… EWW. And they overcharge for a terrible job. Let’s just face it, there’s many more places in the area that do a much better job! COMPLETERIPOFF.
