Not exactly sure why there are so many negative reviews, maybe I am just a lucky one. I’ve been living in Hamilton Heights now for a little over a year and have been coming here since I’ve moved to the area. I use to always do my laundry myself since I’m very anal about how I like it washed. The place is a small laundry mat so at times it can be crowded. The best times to go are either early morning or during the day while everyone is at work or in school. They sell big bottles of tide as well as the smaller versions. Machines are coin and not those stupid cards, which I honestly prefer. 25¢ per 8 minutes dry time and wash machines as cheap as $ 2.50. They offer free wifi and have two tv’s(nothing interesting playing other than soap operas, but hey I don’t watch tv I’m usually just on my phone) take headphones or take a laptop if you plan on being there for awhile. Now more so recently when I couldn’t find the time do my own laundry I finally gave in to just dropping it off and having them do it.(I provided them with my own laundry soap and bleach) it’s about a $ 1 per pound. It was morning and they asked what time id like to pick it up I said around 6pm(after work). Come 6:30pm, laundry was washed and I paid for my laundry. The lady in the morning and the lady in the evening were both very sweet and friendly. I got home, untied my bag and everything was folded perfectly! My button up shirts, socks matching, denim folded exactly how I like them! Very much so impressed and better yet my clothes smelled fresh and clean just how I like them. I have not had a single issue with their service so thanks ladies! You’re awesome!

The man who works there and thinks he ‘owns’ the place is a creep who will openly nit-pick on you if you say, shove a trolley the wrong way, and will take every opportunity to handle your undergarments. A great place for tourists and double decker bus sight-seers who’ve overstayed their wardrobe requirements — otherwise, not the cleanest nor nicest environment. Crowded during all normal hours, noisy, bad soap operas. Stay away, unless of course that’s your thing.

I have a riddle for you, what do you get when you have uneducated Spanish girls do work with free television? Give up? Nothing! I dropped off my laundry around 10 this morning, I was told it would be fine by 10 pm. I check on it on my way from the train station to home around 9:30, it was in the dryer, so I left. Went home, baked a pizza, fed my cat, watched tv, I go back around 10:20pm, it’s still just sitting in the dryer. So I told them this is my laundry, it was suppose to do done at 10pm, so I tell them to just put it back into my bag. She’s says she’ll fold it in 10 minutes. Like really? I said no I have no time to come back in a hour my laundry. It’s been here for over 12 hours, OVER12HOURS! She opens the dryer, and my laundry is still wet. Of course. So I just deal with it and tell her to put it into my bag, and she still charges me the price of 19 dollars versus the price of 10 dollars which is what the actually cost of the«work» they did with there hand me down laundry detergent and softener. What a rip off, what a shame 12 hours of the day were wasted, and shame on me for spending the money for this BS business. P. S. When I get my laundry out of my bag at home, I found socks that were never put into the dryer to dry either, completely soaked.

The worst laundry place of all time! It’s always crowded so you basically never get a machine right away. But the worst is that lady working there. She basically always yells at me in a very bitchy way when I am about to use the one open machine because she claims it to be hers. Is she racist? I don’t know but I have seen her being friendly to non-white people. She obviously doesn’t want me there. Oh well from now on I will always have to walk a bit further to a much cleaner, more quiet and friendlier place a few blocks up.

I requested that they use NO bleach or fabric softener. The laundress wrote it down. Assured me she would only use the fragrance-free, detergent-free soap I gave her. I explained it’s important because I have sensitive skin and will have to re-do the laundry if any fabric softener or bleach is used. Got the laundry back, and there are bleach stains on my towel and the sheets reek of fabric softener. Now I have to re-wash, and any wash-and-dry service isn’t cheap — my two bags came out to $ 33. Never, ever again.

Solid neighborhood laundry. I’ve been dropping off my clothes here for almost 2 years, and so far have had no problems. They honor my anal-retentive special requests(cold water, no rolling of the socks!), and the staff are courteous and friendly. If you drop off in the morning your clothes will be ready by that evening. Otherwise, next-day service. $ 1/lb. If you opt for self-service, plan some errands to run; there is almost nowhere to sit and read, no TV to watch…
