I am so bummed to see that this place is being reported as closed before I even got a chance to review it. I ate here once last summer and it was the perfect happy hour getaway. Granted the drinks were slightly too pricey for my friends and I to indulge, but we did gorge ourselves on a meter-long pizza that featured three different flavor combinations. DELISH. Minus one star because it was pricey, but worth it for the experience of dining at a speakeasy pizzeria with a fantastic view of Little Italy.

**Currently under construction** It is owned by Caffe Napoli and said they are renovating their second floor. So be sure to call to make sure if they’re open. Speaking of Caffe Napoli, we ordered their 3ft long pizza(Prosciutto(thin ham), cheese, & olives) and it was delicious! This review should really be on Caffee but if you come across this review and you’re actually here for 180 Neapolitan, then this is a great alternative!

Worth the hype! Had a great time here last night. Turns out the actual hidden little gem that is 180 Neapolitan is under construction for 2 weeks(That is, it should be open again around Aug. 26, 2013). That said, the staff was more than accommodating and the brick oven pizza goodness is still being served. Until renovations are done, you will be seated downstairs and handed a separate 180 N.E. menu. Between the two of us, we ordered the Agrodolce Maria(which really is delightful but be prepared for punches of sweet pear and that nose-biting deliciousness of melty, gooey gorgonzola), the Tartufata Dello Cardinale(cause I love me some prosciutto and white truffle oil) and our grand meal was started off with a bed of arugula and cherry-tomatoes halves atop which sat a large proud ball of fresh mozzarella filled with a creamier soft cheese filling who’s name eludes me. Sorry friends. I’m kinda useless today. But I offer this. Each pizza will set you back roughly $ 20(which is a steal for the attention and skill going into each). They will say that they’re personal pizzas and rather small but each of us left half of our respective pies untouched and we were both very comfortably stuffed. In fact I just devoured the leftovers here at work and couldn’t be happier(or more full)! I also offer this advice, a Foursquare check-in will unlock you a nice little free dessert. We opted for the tiramisu. ;) Very, very happy results.

Italian awesomeness in the heart of Little Italy. 180 opened a few months ago, and I found out about via my regular email from Thrillist. It sounded too cool to not go check out, so I took a friend there for his birthday. We split the pizza-calzone. The pizza half was the San Daniele, and it was out of this world good. The dough was light and airy, and the ingredients were all amazingly fresh. The calzone was the Calzone Fritto, and I’ve never tasted creamier cheese in a calzone before. I knew I had scored with my restaurant choice when the birthday boy cleared his plate too. He’s one of the more pickier eaters I know, and probably the only person I’ve ever seen order chicken Parmesan at a seafood restaurant at the Jersey Shore. He was more than happy to take home our leftovers! You do need to know how to find it. As the address suggests, it’s on the corner of Hester and Mulberry, with the entrance on Hester St. Look for a black elevator with a decoration that looks similar to the movie poster for the most recent«Great Gatsby» film, and take it up to the second floor or Neapolitan goodness.

Came here on what I believe was their first Friday night. Food was okay. Service was eh. It was their first night in business so I will cut them some slack but I can’t imagine going back.

Hidden, quiet and delicious. Order pies to share. The prosciutto and cheese they use are melt-in-your-mouth tasty.

Good pizza in an area that is surprisingly difficult to find one. Could use an ac upgrade, though!

I should have been first to review since I added the business to Unilocal! But I slept on doing my review so such is life! Hands down the best pizza in NYC. Better than Goodfellas, better than any mom and pop place, better than even my Grandma made! The fact that you feel like you are going into a speakeasy when you go here makes the experience even better. Definitely a place for locals, not tourists! After 6pm you need a reservation so call ahead or during the day swing in. The manager came by and spoke with us and the selection of craft beers was impressive for a pizza joint. I would give this 6 stars if I could!

Delicious pizza. Very cool looking spot. Everything is white so the food is the art in this place. The Nutella Banana dessert was awesome. Good beer selection too. We’re coming back soon for sure.

A speakeasy eatery of sorts. You enter by an elevator with a cool art-deco pattern. The second floor restaurant is warm, inviting, and more intimate than the rest of the Little Italy street-level restaurants since you’re not constantly bombarded with tourists. The Almond 22 Pink IPA is quite good– it’s light and crisp and goes well with pizza. There were three of us total and we got two pizzas to share– more than enough. Agrodolce Maria: fior de latte, gorgonzola, pear, parmigiano, walnuts. I loved this one because you could really taste the freshness of the toppings, and the savory-sweet balance was perfect. Marghertia NY: your usual mozzarella/tomato/basil base. We got ours with sausage. Like the other one, perfect ingredients– that’s what you’re really paying for here: the ingredients and house-made crust. Good cheese is really a treat. However, we asked for arugula on the Marghertia, but that somehow didn’t make it to the pizza… They also didn’t have a couple beers my friends asked for. I think a better practice would’ve been to let us know what they didn’t have in the beginning. Service was a little spotty even though we were one of two parties there.

Really cool place with great brick oven pizza. I heard about it through a friend and went there the other day. It’s upstairs on a 2nd floor in little Italy. The pizzas were great and they had a nice selection of beer and cocktils.

Bring elastic waisted pants… And don’t say I didn’t warn you… And if you’re religious, pray for forgiveness because you’ll definitely be gluttonous. Their food is beyond delicious! Like real Italians, the crew is super sweet and friendly and they genuinely LOVE feeding you and having you & your friends there. Everything is fresh and amazing. My friends and I seriously could not stop eating… even when we were super full. It was just that great!!! And obviously, I love that it’s a speakeasy eatery! :)

Through word of mouth, my group learned of this little pizza speakeasy that’s not so easy to find unless you’ve been told where to go. Duck into the side door at 180 Hester and ride the elevator up to the 2nd floor… you arrive in a cute Italian restaurant with essence of truffle wafting through the air. What we got for our table of 4: Burrata and 3 pizzas My favorite was the TARTUFATADELLOCARDINALE — Pomodoro S. Marzano, house-made fior di latte, prosciutto cotto, parmigiano, porcini mushrooms, basil and white truffle oil

I think one of the most important part of the Neapolitan Pizza experience is the soft almost chewy inside. Our pizza was very very dry, you almost need a beer or wine to actually enjoy it. We had just finished happy hour so we were in water mode. The arugula salad was decent. I wanted to like this place, as most of the Neapolitan pizza places that I like to go to are not in little italy(forcella, via tribunali).
