WOW!!! How is this place even in business I have no clue. I used to go there about 8 to 19 years ago it must have been different owners because it was very good then… not now. I was in the area at 12 noon the other day and decided to stop in for a couple of slices. The red flag should have gone up when the slice pies were not warm or recently cooked they were definitely from the prior day and being stored at room temperature a bacteria breeding ground. The crust was harder than a breadstick so stale it blew me away that he could be so stupid to serve this garbage to anyone. to make matters worse he was handling the money and the food without washing his hands or wearing gloves simply disgusting. Being a former restaurateur and serv — safe certified I was appalled that the health dept. hasn’t stepped in to stop this place from storing their slices at room temp. and addressing the other violations. Perfect example of some bozo taking a thriving business and destroying it. Total Garbage

Being a NJ native from about 20 minutes outside NYC, you could say I know a good pizza. This place has a killer margherita pizza. The crust has such a great flavor and has a great crunch. Their pepperoni and cheese knots are also pretty killer. The owner is always super nice to us when we go in too. Pretty much a winner all around

This place is as bad as it gets! I decided to give it one more chance after three years when I open a pie and fly came out of the box! Can you imagine the disgust on top i told the owner who is the most unpleasant individual about the fly to what he responded that i was lying and got mad and almost didn’t wanted to give me a new pie! I was very upset so for that reason I stopped coming here! Today i was a town fair and decided to give them a second chance, i order two plain slices and a soda for my self and i come to the surprise that the minimum on debit card is 20 dollars how stupid and ridiculous is this guy to put a minimum of 20 i never heard of this before ! I been to hundreds of places in my life and i never heard of this 20 dollars minimum is he serious! so i called my bank to complain and they told me to call the chamber of commerce to pursue this issue because quite frankly i was offended by his lack of customer service in both situations! Sir i hope you are reading this please quit your job find something that give you more satisfaction you are a terrible business owner!

Very good food, delivery service is horrid. A 30 minute delivery will go to an hour and a half delivery. not worth the wait food was cold when arrived.

Overcooked slice because the employee was too busy scratching something on the counter. Waste of pizza.

Pizza is OK. Meaning all of the other pizza in the area is not very good without at least a 20 minute drive someplace else, so you are forced to put this high on the totem pole as far as pizza quality. 1. The place is grungy. In reality, any great pizza shop in NYC is grungy. They could use a good cleaning. 2. The guys who I assume are brothers and who typical take the orders have no customer service capabilities whatsoever. They need a nice order taker who will engage customers. It will increase sales. 3. The pizza is actually really good if you are a plain slice or pepperoni kind of person. Once you start getting too fancy with the toppings however it goes kinda south. If you want a good simple slice that hits the spot, then this is a great go to place. 4. Delivery. Meh… It’s been hit or miss. I have literally never had the same guy deliver pizza to my home so delivery guys seem to have a high turn over. Second they use phone attachments to scan your card if you don’t order online. Then you enter your info on the drivers phone. get a guy who has decent skill and your info is compromised. Overall the place isn’t a bad option and the food is good. The guys are not friendly, but they are good at making pizza. Just pick up your order instead of delivery if you can. They are miles ahead of standard chain pizza.

I am new to Unilocal and am starting with my all-time favorites. This slice gets my vote — my favorite is the old fashioned plain. Like the best slices, crust is perfect and cheese and sauce combine to make a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts, flavorwise. The rumor is that the owner is from Arthur Avenue, the mecca of Italian food in the Bronx.

The pizza is great. If you’re in the mood for great Italian New York style pizza and you want it delivered try this place out. They deliver promptly and their apps aren’t that bad. The pizza is great though.

I recently rediscovered this place about a month ago and have been twice. The pizza is OK, the slices always look like they been sitting out all day. There are better places for pizza in the area. But the food here is not my biggest problem. The owner has some serious anger issues. We ordered a couple of slices each to go and waited only about 5 minutes for the slices to be heated. During that time we witnessed the owner yell at a customer over the phone, berate an employee in front of the customers and throw utensils around the prep area. When he put our food on the counter we had to remind him that we’d asked for our food to go. That’s when he muttered something under his breath and hastily and aggressively grabbed a box off the shelf and threw it onto the counter, then picked up the plates with our slices on them and threw them into the box. Wow. To The Owner: My apologies if your customers are an inconvenience to you. You won’t have to worry about us though, we won’t be back.

Worst service for average pizza. Ordered for a company lunch(which is less than a mile from them) and they delivered cold pizzas an hour and 20 minutes later. Called for an update twice and they were unapologetic. Just said they were busy. If it was going to be that busy when I ordered at 11:30 in the morning, we would have gladly picked it up.

The pizza is mediocre. The toppings, cheese and sauce were OK, but the crust was thicker & drier than I prefer. Also, it arrived room temperature and the pizza was stuck to the paper on the bottom of the box, so it was impossible to grab a slice without having it rip in half and leave half the toppings behind. The worst part was the delivery wait time: over 1 hr, and I live 3 minutes away(with a sleeping toddler, I wasn’t able to pick it up myself.)

Pizza is really good NY style. I agree with reviewers who say delivery time is awful — over an hour and your pie will be cold every time. Always do pickup. After reading other reviews, apparently I have to try their wings.

Italian sub was pretty and their soup that tasted home-cooked. The guy that took my order over the phone was nice in-person too. I haven’t tried the pizza yet.

I am giving them a 3 for their food — their Pizza and salads are pretty decent, however, their service is TERRIBLE! The guy /owner is so rude and always makes you feel uncomfortable when you buy from them. They also have a $ 20 minimum with credit card purchases which is illegal in CT.

Great pizza! Terrible service! The owner is a nasty man who actually yells at his staff in front of the customers and makes dining there very unpleasant !!!

For the area, this was a pretty darn good slice. We have Piazza Pizza places in NYC, wonder if they are related? Doubt it but this little place in shopping center was a good find for a quick slice.

My last experience ordering online to use the 20% discount was a disaster. After placing the order and receiving confirmation I waited 1.5 hours for delivery. When I called to find out what was going on with my order, I was told, with much attitude, that they hadn’t received the order and that it was my fault since I should have called to placed the order in the first place. The staff member offered me nothing for the trouble they had caused and then went on to tell me that since they had the best pizza around, I should either call to either place the order or use the online site and then call to confirm the order. I was then told that I could place my order but that it would be another 1 hour before they could deliver. In the past, I have ordered from Piazza Pizza at least 1 – 2 per month and liked the food I have received. I have learned 2 things from my experiences: — never order extra cheese since it has consistently ended up sliding to one corner of the pizza box during delivery. — plan on reheating the food since their delivery times are high(1 hour is not unusual) and the food is often luke warm when it arrives.

Pretty good thin crust pizza joint, located in a nondescript strip mall in Norwalk. They sometimes get busier than the staff on hand can handle. Which is their downfall imho. I have had pizza slices come out past when they should have because the counter guy got distracted by the phone calls coming in. The staff continues to be friendly during those hectic times, but it is a shame when the quality of the food suffers. Anyways, it is worth checking out and if you work nearby, all the more reason too. (Kinda scratching my head about the 5 star reviews, some folks like it that much ?)

Great gluten free pizza. They made it exactly as I asked… well done, and light on the cheese. It sucks that I can never eat Modern pizza again because of Celiac, but if places like this can make gluten free pizza this good, then I’m happy. Also…very clean restaurant and friendly workers.

This is a pretty good spot. It’s always great when you can find something good in an unfamiliar place. We all shared a combination salad, which did pretty well in feeding four of us. Although, I think it’s two olives, four pepperoncinis, and four small marinated mushrooms more than a tossed salad, so maybe not the best bang for your buck. My mom and step-father shared a baked ziti and manicotti and reported that they really liked it. My wife got eggplant parm and spaghetti and she said it was very good. I had the shrimp parm and ziti and really liked it. Good spot in Norwalk, very good prices too.
