Dinner in a Dash My stomach was empty and I had this massive craving for PHO. I’ve never been to Phở Time and thought I’d see what they were all about. Highlights & Low-lights: *Clean layout *Cordial lady behind the counter *Kids Brisket Phở was a nice small size with just brother, noodles, and brisket(no veggies on the side) *Broth was not oily and lacked a little flavor *Spring rolls were okay. Nothing special and maybe a little underwhelming *No extra sauces were up in my take out just the peanut sauce for my Would I come back? Possibly. I guess I didn’t get the full experience, but surely they didn’t tickle me pink.

For those of you who like Phở, this is a very good place. I enjoy a good bowl of Phở on a cold day or evening and this is a great place for it.

I came here with two friends who I haven’t seen awhile. Plus: Tasty food! I think there wasn’t any MSG in the broth which made it really delicious and made it really reminiscent of my time in Saigon a year ago. Delta: My friends and I were loud just cause that’s the way we are especially cause we haven’t seen each other in awhile. The place wasn’t really bustling so it made it awkward for us to be making so much noise at times. There was only one other set of folks eating when we were there on a Saturday night.

I didn’t like this place so much. The restaurant is really clean though but the food was somewhat mediocre. I had an order of eggs rolls which they only serve with lettuce. I asked the lady for basil but she didn’t know what I was talking about. I also had the fried rice and it was bland to my taste. The spring rolls were allright but the peanut sauce could have been better. I haven’t tried their phở but I don’t think I will be back. I will just stick to this one place in El Monte, Viet Houng, scrumptious.

I went their last night with my sister. I didn’t know they were about to close, but they served us anyway. I had the seafood phở. it was good. they don’t charge for extra onions, and the service is fast… since we were the only ones there. it’s a small place… probably fits about 50 ppl total. I’m thankful that they let us eat even though they were closing. the food is yummy. and the location isn’t bad. it’s not really a place where i would go out of my way to eat though. however, if i was in the area, and wanted some phở, i will go there.

While on the hunt for a quick lunch, I came across Phở Time and decided to give them a try. I was quickly seated and I ordered the #3 phở with rare steak. The server and I had some communication problems but we worked through them. I like my phở piping hot, this was warm at best and instead of limes I got a bottle of lime concentrate. I asked for real limes and they were quickly brought to the table, which begs the question if real limes are available why are you giving me fake lime juice? Also before bringing out my food, I was asked if I wanted cilandro and scallions sprinkled in the phở or on the side. I’m no phở expert but most phở I’ve had has it mixed in. I wanted to keep the conversation as clear as possible between myself and the server, who spoke a limited amount of English so I responded with a friendly«I want it JUST like the picture.» Once I got my food, there was something off about the phở and I really couldn’t put my finger on it. That’s when it hit me, I like my phở broth fatty and this was too lean for my taste. The broth lacked flavor, I even consider adding fake lime juice to the mix to see if would taste better. All in all it was an okay-ish meal for under $ 10 but I’d rather try the taco place next-door. p. s. The front lot tends to fill up quickly and yes the taco place will tow you if you park in their designated spots. Use the back lot, its a bit of a walk from the restaurants but at least you won’t get towed!

Korean owned Vietnamese Phở Noodle Shop. Can you get any more unorthodox? Welp, treated my Korean family to some phở since we were all hungry one day. Service was prompt seeing as we were 3 of 7 customers that night. The lady running the place was pretty friendly despite my non-Korean appearance. Overall, spent about $ 28.00 with tax and tip. Small shop, well kept and a neighborhood eatery. What more can I say? 3 Stars sounds about right, but for Phở I’ll leave it to the Vietnamese. The inconvenience of being away from Little Saigon, sometimes I miss the place.

I think I found my new Phở restaurant. Even though I’m not Korean, the lady inside is really nice and tries to understand me. That’s cute! She even said no MSG two times and I said, «Thank you». What a cute lady. The Phở Bowl was large and tasty when it came out, too. Everything was more than enough for me to eat!

This place is in a small Korean plaza. The waitress was kind enough to ask whether we wanted cilantro or parsley in our phở. I ordered the Phở Tai. I ended up adding more hoisin sauce to the soup so the soup would taste better. I’m not used to a bland tasting broth… There are only 16 items on the menu, so be careful about what you choose. The quality is that of a fast food joint, but the quantity still left me a bit hungry afterward. Atmosphere is a really quiet if you want to be able to eat in peace, parking is a adequate unless its a Friday. Other than that, try it out if you’re curious.

It’s definitely Phở Time, all the time! So far, I’ve been here 2 times within the 10 days I found this place. Once with Jane L after our jjim jil bang and another time with my dad. Run by a Korean* couple, the lady here works really hard and it just makes me want to come back not only because I feel bad, but because of the following reasons: –NOMSG. All the other Phở restaurants I have been to have MSG, but this place doesn’t. I don’t normally drink broth, but here I nearly drank it all! — VERY friendly service. The lady is so sweet and nice when you ask for extra cilantro, onions, water, etc. — Plenty of meat! I love meat on my Phở Tai and there was a LOT of them swimming in my bowl of noodles. — Serving size of food is more than enough! The plate of their fried rice was soooo good, too! YUM! — VERY tasty! I loved my phở here! However, there is a downfall. Don’t come here if you are impatient and super hungry because when it gets busy in here, the lady will take her time since she’s working alone. Also, don’t order their spring rolls if you are really picky about how it should taste. Lastly, phở here aint $ 5.25 a bowl, so don’t expect it to be super cheap. I think they are quite reasonably priced. *There is nothing wrong with a Phở restaurant run by Koreans. I will definitely return!

Phở was bland. The broth was not at least okay. Compared to other Phở restaurants that i’ve been to, their egg rolls are not on par with others. Fish sause is a too salty, not the usual salty yet sweet sause in a way others do.

Honestly, its the best tasting Phở Restaurant in the area. Korean owned Phở restaurants are becoming commonplace now and this one is by far the best tasting. The soup is far superior than other korean owned Phở places. I really like the food here.

We went here to eat because it was close to my boyfriend’s house, and he was going to be late for work. Service was slow. There were only two people working, quite possibly the owners(husband and wife). Honestly, it was strange eating at a Korean owned phở place. It’s just odd to me… The phở was alright. Ingredients were scarce. Stingy, stingy! It even cost $ 8 for the phở, and for the fried rice that I ordered(since I didn’t want to eat phở). The menu is also very limited. There are several types of phở, and other items like spring rolls, fried rice, etc. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Yah, it’s PHOTIME, but not HERE anytime soon/ever!
