It’s like every other Lee’s sandwich. I always get the special combination #11 and it never disappoints. The most important part of a banh mi is the bread. It has to be perfectly crunchy and flaky on the outside with a soft and buttery inside. Lee’s is consistent on their bread for their sandwiches. Sometimes I even see people leaving with just a bag full of loaves. Overall it’s a good value sandwich that’s pretty solid.

I would’ve given them at least four stars because I do like their food but if you want to use your ATM card for anything under $ 10 they charge you $.50 I consider that a rip off and I will not come back

I was really disappointed because I’ve had Lee’s Sandwiches before at other locations, and the one here was not that great. They have a lot of other snacks in the store, and I got the custard fishies but they were dry with not much custard inside. The avocado shake didn’t taste much like avocado and was very icy(not smooth at all).

You know you’re eating Lee’s if the roof of your mouth is completely scratched up after your meal. All joking aside, this dependable spot has been around for ages. If you want to grab a quick, filling bite for under 5 dollars, come to Lee’s. They have a variety of different kinds of sandwiches both asian and european style. Just a quick tip, bring cash. They have a 50 cent charge for people using card.

Affordable Asian and European inspired sandwiches. Prices range from $ 3.99−6.29. The are known for their sandwiches and coffee. Lee’s coffee is to blame for my wife’s addiction to coffee. She had never drank coffee before we met me, and after few visits here, the addiction to coffee began. She is now an everyday coffee drinker thanks to Lee’s. :) Prices have definitely gone up since I’ve first started coming here over 10 years ago. The price for a sandwich use to be half the cost of a Subway sandwich(maybe even less) but the gap has narrowed since. Price increase is part of reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars. In addition, parking in the center is a mess. Not enough stalls for the amount of restaurants and the stalls are small.

Great experience here today! The cashier was super friendly and very patient with explaining the ingredients and helping me choose the sandwich that was right for me. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The only thing for me is that the bread here is typically hard when it isn’t fresh. The chicken was great and vegetables too, just wish the bread was a little on the softer side. Definitely will be back here to try other sandwiches. (Visited 03-03-20166:30PM)

I think this is the best coffee I’ve ever tasted well aside from Starbucks. Just like Starbucks there coffee is so super thick and creamy. Everything is pretty reasonably priced. So if you want a cheap/good/Lunch this is the spot.

I’ve always appreciated the consistent quality of Lee’s bánh mì, whether in Long Beach or Artesia. The restaurant is always clean, attentive staff are ready to assist, and at $ 3.99, the sandwiches are quite the deal! I like the taste of their grilled chicken, with the pickled veggies and cilantro. What makes their bánh mì special is that it’s made with a freshly baked baguette. Awesome for concerts, picnics, etc. Each time I go, I see people stopping in for just the baguette and tell myself, ‘next time I need fresh bread, I’m coming here,’ but I always forget! So do me a favor… the next time you’re there, would you mind picking up a loaf for me? :-)

Food is affordable and fulfilling. Great customer service. Asked the guy for a napkin to wipe down the table and he dropped what he was doing to wipe it down himself.

The food is tasty, but the 5 stars go to the Hot Latte Americano! It is absolutely delicious. It is rich, creamy and always at the perfect temperature. The shop is in a large shopping center so there is plenty of parking. You may have a little difficulty trying to get there off Pioneer with all the lights and pedestrian crossings. This is a great place for takeout and lunch. It does not work for large groups since the tables are for onsies twosies. It is also a small store with snacks and coffee tumblers. They also sell Macroons at $ 1.50 each.

I’ve been seen this place everywhere and just gave it a first try last weekend. I like it! The sandwich has the Asian style, it’s simple but tastes pretty good. And the portion is pretty large for a less than 4 bucks price. And it sells other buns /bread with meat in it. And the cute fish style things. I will definitely go and try again!

Got #11 sandwich today for a quick bite. They were not busy in the afternoon. I did not wait long for my order. The sandwich was good. For less than $ 5, it is a descent deal. Will be back to try the other items next time when I am in the area. Plenty of parking in the shopping center.

This location is sucks. I got number 1 sandwich bread tastes so old not fresh and they give you only one layer of meat. Ive been to other one which located in san Gabriel. that one is bomb. Bread super fresh crunchy and meat is 2layers. Seriously this location is horrible

Rude and horrible costumer service. If you need an example of an Asian ran business this is a prime example. Argued with them for about 10 minutes about $ 1.25 because they put my sandwich on a croissant when it should have been on a baguette. Really? Over $ 1.25. I have had better consumer service at Walmart. This is not how business works in America. The costumer is always right and you don’t tell that that they made a mistake and then make them pay for it. Ridiculous. The food on the other hand is awesome. This location is bad and I would avoid it.

They always forget something here. I ALWAYS have to double check my order before I leave. Last time I didn’t and I didn’t get my egg rolls I paid for. The time before they forgot the avocado. I’ve had to comeback because they didn’t put a sandwich in the bag. I don’t like having to triple check everything when I go here. It gets to be obnoxious. But… The sandwiches are really really good. I either get the turkey club on croissant or the BBQ pork. I’ve never had a bad sandwich here.

Been coming to Lee’s for so long, not sure where to start. In my possibly ignorant mind, the originators of the Banh Mi «movement» these guys have it all. Fresh bread, robotic voices that only know numbers, staff that look like they hate you and Moombas. Moombas? Yes, those are little people who ride on Roombas along the floor and just eat everything in their path. Any Stefan fans out there? I digress. For those who have not tried it, the subs they offer here are really not subs at all. They have fresh french loaves that are made normally right in back of the counter and they are stuffed with some unique and flavorful delights. Now, you can get your normal, run of the mill ham and cheese if you like or you can get something truly unusual like pâté, bbq pork(my personal fav), sardine and pork meatball. Each sandwich normally comes with about a 12″ piece of french roll, some meat in it, cilantro(bleck), traditional carrots with radish and some mayo. That’s it! The secret is the bread and the fresh ingredients they include that just make them terribly addicting and leave you wanting more. More you ask? What can compare to the yummy sandwiches they have there? The Frigin’ egg rolls are AMAAAAZING! So good, maximum marks, high praise, kudos, very nice indeed. Some people also love the drinks that they have there like the fruit smoothies and boba beverages. I generally can’t drink these since they seem to have an excessive amount of lactose laced, products within. Love the grilled chicken, bbq pork and the grilled pork, all of them with Sriracha. Highly recommended!

Lee’s Sandwiches is my go-to place for Vietnamese french bread sandwiches, or banh mi. They bake their own french bread baguettes frequently throughout the day, so you know you’re getting super fresh bread. Oftentimes the bread will still be warm. I usually order the grilled chicken or grilled pork banh mi $ 3.49 ea. They serve sandwiches on croissants as well, but why would you want that when their fabulous french bread is available? Anyways, back to the sammies. Each banh mi contains the meat(s) of your choosing along with julienned pickled radish and carrots, jalapeño slices, white onion, sprigs of fresh cilantro, and a good schmear of mayo. Tonight I opted the grilled chicken banh mi. The chicken is marinated in a slightly sweet soy based sauce. The chicken along with the vinegary radish, spicy jalapenos, crunchy carrots, and fresh cilantro are really the perfect combination. And the bread — nice crunch to the outer crust giving way to a soft, chewy interior. They sell whole baguettes as well, so if you see their neon«Hot Baguettes Now» sign is lit, then freshly baked bread is available — buy some, you can thank me later. Other standout items here are the pork and shrimp eggrolls — five for $ 3.79(these are great, esp when they’re piping hot), sweet coconut waffles, and Deli Manjoo — tiny cakes with vanilla custard filling(I recommend only getting these if they’re being freshly made, otherwise they get stale quickly). This location has seen better days. The seats on many of their chairs have damage, they no longer sell gelato or have self serve napkins — you only get however many they give you with your order, and they used to have computers on their counters that you could use to access the internet(they’d give you a code on your receipt that unlocked the computer). Overall, the food is still decent and inexpensive although the restaurant itself has taken a downward turn.

CASHONLY. ATM was on the fritz today too. So happy to see the coffee sold now has a clear illustration of 3 cups or 3 servings being poured from one bottle. Lol. Careful: this is not your typical coffee, and yess their motto is «Let’s Coffee!» Also available as bottled: Thai tea, Coffee Latte Vanilla, plus original, I swear I saw a green creamed tea concoction too. Tip I learned from another Banh Mi connoisseur: Turn the sandwich upside down and eat it this way, so the crust does not bother your palate so much.

I can’t go wrong with Lee’s! I know some crazy good banh mi spots yet I still find myself coming back here. The reason: consistent & everything tastes just right! They have sammies up the wahzooo, a variety of different snacks, & drinks. When I’m craving a BBQ chicken banh with pâté and am strapped for time, I know I can fill up here and leave a happy @$$ camper. Lee’s always rubs me the right way :)
