This place had great food. Unfortunately it caught on fire yesterday. 1÷13÷2016 We all hope they can rebuild it soon. We already miss those great teriyaki plates. And those awesome burger and fry combos

This place is like no other, I make the 40 min trip every now and again. What’s the hype you ask? The mouth watering Teriyaki plate(combo of chicken and beef is a must). They went through a management change some time ago as the couple that used to run the establishment retired. The food is still good, I still make the drive. The noodles aren’t as flavorfull, kind of soggy but still good. Some of my family members don’t notice the difference but I’m super picky so lol. Also their fries are pretty good, lightly scrip outside and nice and soft on the inside. Nom.

If I am Ever in the mood for teriyaki I always come here! My parents would come here before they had any kids and then with us too! Best teriyaki in town!

The menu here is simple but it offers both American and Asian food. Parking is plenty but their designated parking is very run down. Safe to park though. club sandwich for $ 5 was good in taste and portion. Nice people too.

I have been coming to Charlie’s ever since I was a little girl. An older couple used to run this little hole in the wall until they retired. The couple’s nephew I believe is now running it along with his wife. The food here has always been amazing, customer service is great, prices are very reasonable. I have never had a bad experience here, and neither has anyone in my family. Overall, this will always be a go-to spot for me!

Just bad. First of all, don’t go for lunch if you are in a hurry. Only 2 employees in the store, 1 is the cook and the other one the clerk. Nobody was in front of me and 2 or 3 tables were with people already eating. I ordered a carne asada burrito and it took almost 15 minutes to make it. I had hundreds of burritos in my life, but this one I don’t even know if I should call it burrito. It was a cold tortilla, with steam rice, meat and lettuce. THATISIT. You can see the picture, a small burrito that came with«salsa»(it tasted like Pace) and 1 napkin. Next time I’ll go across the street to Taco Bell, that it also sucks, but I’ll not pay $ 6 and I’ll have it in less than 15 minutes.

Passing through, we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, based on the Unilocal reviews and star rating. The place is visually unimpressive but humble, friendly, and even though Charlie himself is longer here, it remains a family business. Service was quick and the burgers and teriyaki chicken were sturdy and serviceable and tasted like they were prepared with love. Thumbs up from two hungry bodybuilders.

Great place. They cook everything on the spot so even if it might take a short while, but you know it is definitely worth the wait. Had a friend order the double cheeseburger and it’s definitely better than most places. Huge burger, fresh fries. Add some sriracha or ketchup to the burger or fries, it’s delicious. The chicken teriyaki plate smelled and tasted great. It comes with rice and fried noodles with vegetables, and most importantly the chicken teriyaki. More than enough to fill me up. Highly recommended if you are in the area and up for some burgers or chicken teriyaki.

Friendly staff. Chairs need work — you end up sinking in them. Burgers are enough to fill you.

If you’re in the area and need a burger, there’s no better place than Charlie’s. The staff is super nice and Matt knows my roommate and myself by name! This place is known for its teriyaki plates/bowls and those come with my wholehearted recommendation. My personal favorite from Charlie’s however, is the burgers. They grill them right when you order and the flavor is sublime. They remind me of MVP Burger in Long Beach(This is a good thing). It’s not the most modern looking establishment but it has a somewhat«homey» and comfortable ambiance. From the great food to the friendly and personalized service, Charlie’s has quickly become one of my favorite burger joints.

It’s been a while and the older couple have retired. The nephew took over and the teriyaki plate is still the best in town. He is just a nice as his uncle. But the teriyaki speaks for itself.

I went here for my lunch today and the teriyaki beef noodles were AMAZING! It was the best teriyaki noodles/rice I’ve had. Most teriyaki dishes are generic and mediocre but I will definitely come here again to eat their teriyaki!!! The staff here is also very kind and you will for sure be satisfied with your meal~

Went to this restaurant after I read reviews. Live near hear but didn’t know it existed. Really good customer service with all smiles. but the food… WOW, I’ve had my share of teriyaki, but I see why this place has been open for 30 years! Same owner and family! The sauce wasn’t too sweet be cuz it’s actually made from scratch they said and the chicken and meat is actually cooked teppan yaki style. I thought I was walking into a same old greasy burger joint. boy was I wrong. The booths are old and vintage and the interior is kind of outdated but really, it’s the Great food! Will be back.

My husband and I stopped by today to satisfy our craving for Teriyaki. It’s a spacious, homely, mom and pop type place. The first thing that stood out was the friendliness and warmth of the owners… big smiles and they seem to love what they do. My husband had the combo rice and udon teriyaki with beef and I had an all veggies plate. The veggies were fresh, lightly stir fried and flavored, which added a lot of taste. The teriyaki sauce here is unique in that it’s not too sweet or too salty, it’s just right. The portion was so generous we had to take some to go. We also got an order of fries, which were just the right crunch. Other than the bathroom needing some remodel, it’s a nice, delicious, and inexpensive place to fill up. We’ll be back.
