What a gem!!! Seriously awesome place. Service and food were literally perfect. The waitresses were both so polite and helpful! Zero complaints for my first dinner here. The red sangrias were wonderful and one of the best I’ve had. The empanadas and trio causitas apps were out of this world. Argentinian parrillada is a MUST. Of course we had to end our amazing meals with dessert– piña colada cheesecake and tres leches. Everything was just SO good. Omg our new favorite spot for Latin food. Thanks Unilocal, for helping me find this amazing place!

Sorry, but came in for Mother’s Day with family and clearly clueless staff. When staff walks around with appetizer, entrée and ask if it belongs to you, what up!!! We asked for napkins, spoons, utensils, water etc. The most annoying part was the timing of delivering plates to our table. Ordered mussels that were extremely salty, and even the bread was coated with salt. My chicharones were undercooked, and not a great presentation. My son’s and girlfriends ceviche were good, but child’s rice and beans looked like it had been sitting around for awhile, and served on a flat plate for child, bowl please! Visited several months ago with good experience, but don’t think I’ll be returning here anytime soon! My husband received his soup after we had all finished eating. Oh, just remembered last time we visited they neglected to place our order until 45 minutes went by and I asked bartender about our meal!

As always, I like to rate based on experience, weighed heavily by food quality. I believe this restaurant will become a 5 star place for me, once I go back. The food really had great potential(in other words, once I know how to order best here). This restaurant was previously a tapas place, so I had my hesitations, since my last experience was poor. Our service was terrible, and the food was likely from a box. With that said, we still ended up here because of the reviews of this new restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised — the service was great, and the food even better. The ambiance of the restaurant was similar to it’s previous owner, with a really cool space, windows on all sides due to the nature of the building. The low-light atmosphere, made this a possible perfect place for a date. With that said, I had the pabellon criollo venezolano, which was a plate of shredded pork, with rice and beans, and sweet plantains. This was pretty great, and with more of the green sauce they provided, this would have been a home run. I would definitely try the lomo soltado next time, but overall a great start to the evening. For dessert, we shared the caribe warm banana coconut, a dish of small wrapped bananas that were fried in a crispy dough, and topped with a couple of delicious sauces, and matched with ice cream. They really were pleasant and delicious as well. I would highly recommend this place, don’t let it go!

Great food, great service and nice place. I’d would say this is one of the best latin food restaurant in Norwalk/Stamford. It is a little pricy but is totally worth it. I Tried the Lomo and it tastes like a good lomo should taste… not the best I tried but very good. I also tried the regular pisco and the passion fruit pisco which were really really good. I will definitely come back and try different Latin dishes :)

I have been here a few times for dinner and had a great experience every time. The staff is very friendly and informative about the menu. Everything I have tried here from the appetizers to the dessert is delicious. Not to mention their cocktails are fantastic as well. You pretty much can’t go wrong with anything you order. It hasn’t been very crowded any of the nights(Fridays and Saturdays) I have been here. While I enjoy not having to wait for a table and all the other perks of dining at a half-filled restaurant, this place definitely should be crowded, so I hope more people start to go and realize how great everything is. Aji 10 definitely deserves the business and popularity.

This place lived up to my expectations. I ordered the lomo saltado and it was much better than at most places in Norwalk. Although a bit more expensive but great overall. Also their mojitos were on point. Service was excellent, fast and very accommodating with the needs of my little 2 year old cousin. I would have given it 5 stars but the parking was somewhat confusing. I will most definitely be coming back.

I came here around 730 on a Friday night. When we got there, the place was half empty and they sat us right next to the door. It was about 10 degrees out and so we asked if we could sit at a different table. They said no. Keep in mind that half the tables were still empty. I ordered the arepas and they were gold. Delicious. As for my entrée, I ordered a dish that listed as half a whole chicken with vegetables. After a 30 minute wait, my «half» chicken was really two small chicken breasts and a tiny amount of vegetables. No rice, no nothing. As for the chicken, it was extremely dry. $ 18 for two paper thin dried chicken breasts? I don’t think so. It’s a shame because I really wanted to like the place. I ordered a strawberry margarita and it was solid. My boyfriend ordered the mojito and he said it was extremely watered down. My waiter, Phil, was really nice. Very cordial and was on top of his game. Will I come back? God no, unless you want to sit in the cold and eat overpriced dry chicken.

Really enjoyed this place for lunch. We ordered 2 apps(chicharrones and sushi. Very delicious. They had many more fun appetizers and if I came back I would only order apps! I had the lomo, which was a little salty but otherwise very tasty. I had a fried egg over the rice. Yum! Hubby had a Venezuelan beef dish, which was ok. Next time it’ll be apps and desserts– oh the desserts looked amazing! Very important to me, the place was clean. We parked on street cause it was a Saturday and we went at 2pm

I’m so smitten! And not so easly either as I am hard won when it comes to Peruvian food. But I admit it, they won my heart(culinarily speaking ;) I steered clear of the Japanese fusion concept and stuck to straight Peruvian dishes. Friendly attentive service. Very good cocktails made with fresh exotic juices. I loved the passion fruit mojito. And the PISCO sour w it’s fluffy high whipped egg whites was superb. Started out with two salads for the table: 1 fried calamari &1 grilled calamari both tossed w a creamy-ish sesame dressing, frisée & radicchio. Grilled is best as the fried, although very good, was too much with the rich dressing. This salad was satisfying & filling. We order the grilled whole Branzino and a whole fried red snapper: both were accompanied by grilled lemons, marinated red cabbage, excellent tostones, tomato & avocado w lime & cilantro salad, fried yucca, and glistening white rice. Both fish were HUGE and perfectly seasoned, tender, nicely cooked. Beautifully presented on large cutting boards. The fresh fish itself really shined through. We were served an array of traditional house made sauces like Aji Amarillo, tomatillo, avocado based, as well as a spicy red & all were very tasty. Not one dish was overly salty, thankfully. Ended our meal with the Nutella crêpe w fresh fruit and the sautéed bananas, coconut & nuts in crunchy phyllo rolls w vanilla ice cream– which was huge so only order if you have many friends with which to share! The chef is most accommodating to minor menu or dish changes which is rare and appreciated. *Ultra über fresh highest quality seafood. Comfortable dining room and separate larger lounge bar. *Minor changes would take the dining experience to another level, create a more intimate setting & would match the quality of the cuisine; change tables to accommodate linen table cloths w glass tops. They do use linen napkins. And add amber lighting and candles on the tables for a softer romantic atmospher. Looking forward to dining here again. Highly recommended.

Delicious! The food was fresh with a ton of taste. Service was friendly and warm. The apps were outstanding; we had fish tacos and empanadas. For my main entrée, I had one of the salads with grilled shrimp, which was perfect. The drinks were delicious also. I love the space, which is big with a lot of brick and Windows. I did feel badly that it was not very crowded on a Saturday night. It would make a terrific party venue; please patronize this place — I would love for it to succeed!

Came here for a Friday night dinner around 8ish. Restaurant has a large casual dining room, but it was kind of empty the time I was there. The restaurant claims itself to be a Peruvian-Japanese fusion. The only Japanese items you will find is sushi/roll. I skipped the rolls and looked for Peruvian dishes instead. Our waitress recommended Cod Fish en Salsa de Mariscos which is a pan seared Cod fish with shrimp, clams, lobster sauce served with a side of jasmine rice. This dish was great. Good portion. I wish I ordered that. Instead, I went with Parrillada Argentina; grilled steak, pork, chicken, and chorizo served with Chimichurri sauce. I’m not sure why I decided to go with that. I guess my craving for Chimichurri sauce was too strong. I’m a sucker for that. Anyhow, all meat was overcooked. therefore dried. It wasn’t worth the price. order something else. Perhaps I wasn’t in the right mood to be visiting this place. There are plenty of items on the menu and I decided to go with the most ordinary dish. Why didn’t I go with grilled lamb chops or my go-to Peruvian dish, Lomo Satado? Who knows … Not sure when I will feel like coming back here again … maybe next summer since they have patio seating area.

Impressed! Food was DELICIOUS! From appetizers to main course meals were hot, fresh and deliciously seasoned. The Arepas were exquisite! Fish tacos were perfectly cooked and generous. Fajitas plentiful and also very hot and tasty. Skirt steak PERFECT! Will definitely be back. Took one star off for the time it took to get appetizer in the beginning but the waitress was very attentive and brought out some chips and salsa to pick on. Service was also very friendly.

Came here late Sunday night, it was almost time to close the kitchen, but they let us in, we had some appetizers and a couple of drinks, the chef which is the owner came to our table to make sure everything was good. Is a very friendly environment, planning another visit to have a full course dinner.

Returned again and once again a 5-star rating. This time we dined at a table top in the dinning area next to the windows. We arrived on a Saturday after-noon for a Mothers Day dinner. Our waiter Shane(yes I remembered) was superb. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and very welcoming. He initially greeted us and offered us to sit at any table of our choosing which was nice. Upon seating Shane gave us some really good recommendations for an appetizer and drinks which was a great pairing the Venezuelan arepas are a must try very filling and tasty with different options for the stuffing. For the entrée I had a perfectly cooked steak to my liking which is medium-rare with truffle fries and mushrooms. Great presentation on a wooden board and came out surprisingly quick. The meal was cooked to perfection and was very delicious. We had coconut sorbet for a dessert since it was a muggy day to finish it off. Our waiter Shane went above and beyond as we had made our way out of the restaurant we forgot my wife’s food which Shane had packaged and bagged for us to take home. He came running out and reunited us with our left overs. Thanks again Shane! A great experience and my wife loved the dinner.
