Sweet Henrie’s Ice Cream Parlor & Restaurant

This is a decent little diner! One of my coworkers suggested it for lunch last week so we went.
The inside is clean and there are plenty of tables and booths. It’s seat yourself so that’s nice because you can sit where you want.
We were approached promptly to order drinks and food. Our waitress seemed to be preoccupied with the fact that she was busy and was not the most pleasant person but I can understand a lunch rush can be a little overwhelming.
I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and coleslaw. The coleslaw came out first. Yuck! It was fresh but it has no flavor. Super bland. Tasted mostly of mayo. My burger came out and was cooked perfectly but had little flavor. The fries were good but they don’t give you many.
Overall, a good experience. I saw some other people’s breakfast orders and they looked really delicious. I’ll have to try breakfast next time.

Maybe I was here on an off night. Our food came out in sections meaning that some of us got food way before others our service was not too great on a scale of 10 I would rate it to 5. I’ve been here before and it the food has been excellent and the service has been pretty good so I’m not sure if they are going downhill.

The German scrabble is the only thing I get here for breakfast and it’s amazing. I used to go here when I was a kid and remember the table top PAC man games.

We have been here before and the ice cream is good but thats where it stop’s. My wife had the Broasted chicken tonight and it was nasty! I ask if they serve fresh or frozen chicken? She said frozen and then she said everybody loves it. I said her chicken has freezer burn and it was hard to chew. She look at me and said everybody loves it and walked away! How rudd! I had a grilled chicken sandwich that was suppose to be marinated and all I could taste was the cooking oil! My 10 year old son had a hard shell taco. We had to send it back because there was barley any meat in it. I really thought mom an pop restaurants would try harder but they don’t! At least this one doesn’t care!

We eat here often, breakfast, lunch& dinner. The service is remarkable. Place your order & faster then you would think possible your food is there, hot & delicious. If you like a neighborhood friendly restaurant with some local specialties, This is the place. Don’t forget the ice cream.

I had the most amazing service from a gal named Jessie. My husband and I just had ice cream, but the atmosphere was very inviting and the service was friendly and fun ! I highly recommend this place– it has a lot of nostalgia and character.

Very good breakfast, salads, and ice cream. Have’t had anything else, but it all looks pretty good. Quaint little local place with friendly service that has been around forever.
