The place needs a good cleaning. Breakfast was ok but it was hard to get past the greasy, sticky residue on everything. There are alot cleaner places to eat in Barberton.

Really good burger! I believe it’s called the junkyard burger. Coney dogs and onion rings delicious as well. Excellent food

With a retro drive-in feel, this diner/drive-in serves more than gracious portions of American standards. My personal favorite is the«junkyard burger», come in hungery if you want to try this burger. Being from Akron this is a local gem you have to try!

Good food, everyone is really nice. The music system needs an update. Other than that, great place to grab breakfast.

Current interpretations of 1950s America are reimagined with nostalgia and pleasantries as a time described by older folks as ‘simpler’ when America was a political hegemon and(only some) Americans had the opportunity to live with many more creature comforts and opportunities than previous generations. At the time, Wink’s and other drive-in restaurants became popular as Americans increasingly used cars for transportation. Wink’s is a drive-in that continues using 50s aesthetics sans the Fonz and wood paneling. Décor consists front ends of old cars, mini jukeboxes with 50s music of fats domino and Elvis in the background, cartoons played on the TVs.(I don’t care for these restaurants, so take it into whatever consideration). As expected, the menu is simple diner food: burgers, hot dogs(coneys are promoted as their specialty), chicken fingers, a salad or 2, a few sandwiches, and fries. The food isn’t bad especially for the low prices: most of their sandwiches are under $ 5. I had a daily special of a Wink Burger and fries for $ 5. Winks signature sauce was pretty underwhelming; it tasted like ketchup with a a modicum of the hot sauce found at Barberton’s Chicken restaurants. Burger was probably a 1⁄5 lb. patty. The service was pretty sloooow. We promptly received our drinks after initially ordering but waited quite a while for our meals and our check. I recommend it only if you’re in the immediate Barberton area and want some no frills diner food in the 50’s motif.
