Came here with some friends before a concert last summer, was told my friends could not purchase an alcoholic beverage with an out of state ID. Food was ok, but the ID rule really made me mad.

Went here a few months ago for the first time. I ordered a combination plate take-out order with chicken chow mein which is one of my favorites. The chow mein here had so much sugar in it I could not finish it. I’ve never, ever experienced that with any chinese restaurant ever before. Very odd taste. Haven’t gone back since.

This place sets THE standard for great service and food. Always fresh, fairly priced, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G drinks. The staff know how to serve you and get out of your way, and the cooks know how to keep food hot and fresh. It’s my go-to.

Great food, friendly staff, delicious(strong) drinks at a fair price. One of the nicest Chinese buffets, or Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. Renovations are nice and definitely help add to the enjoyable experience!

Renovated beautifully. Excellent staff and service. Awesome food and especially the crab rangoon. I test Chinese restaurants on crab rangoon, just as I test Italian restaurants on meatballs~ both are standards and if the standards aren’t fresh and delicious, then half the menu is frozen stuff. Very important. Kudos! I am now a bar/restaurant owner. This is where I came for my downtime. Still love it.

Overall pretty good. My daughter was a fan of both their fried dumplings and fried dough. Selection was ok but as others have said, perhaps not as many as they might have experienced elsewhere. For example, we love steamed dumplings and that was not an option. That said, the quality of what they had for a buffet was good — in fact better than many around this area. Would go back.

Very clean. Tasty food. Friendly staff. Two issues. 1.The flooring was extremely slippery the night we went. Don’t know if it was an improperly cleaned spill, or if the material on their floors and the material my shoes are made of aren’t meant to go together. Might not even have been their fault. Not enough of an issue to take a star away. But thought it was worth mentioning so the staff can keep up on keeping the floors as dry as they are clean. 2.The reason I give them 3 stars, is that the food was good. But not great. If you’re going to charge 14 bucks for a dinner buffet, the food should either be outstanding, or plentiful. It was neither. There was one table of Chinese food, that they did not do a good job of restocking, and the food was just good. Not bad, but not great. There was a second table, but it was just your typical Chinese buffet dessert table. I can think of at least 3 different Chinese buffets with better food, and better selection who charge less. We enjoyed the food(the best thing at the buffet was the Peking Ravioli), but not nearly enough to justify what it costs.

The management at Great Woods Mandarin definitely took into consideration the various criticism mentioned by patrons for their remodel. I visited here for the first time since their remodel several days ago. The entryway is inviting, they now have a host’s station, and the bar is much bigger and more comfortable than the last, with two flat screens that were playing college football games. They now have two buffet stations, which has much more food — one buffet is all typical Chinese food fare and I believe the other had desserts and things like French fries, a «picky eater» offering. We only ordered chicken fingers, which we did enjoy, and scorpion bowls. We mentioned to Phan that the scorpion bowls were very juicy, one of them tasted like straight pineapple juice, so he took over making ours for the bartender. It seemed like a couple other patrons were dissatisfied with their drinks, as I saw a couple return to the bar throughout our time there. A big improvement for Great Woods Mandarin, a step in the right direction to compete with Mansfield restaurants and even the very close Fiesta’s location.

OHMYGOD. This place is amazing, especially their lunch buffet. You pay $ 7 and you can eat as much as you want, while they take your dirty plates and refill your glass with refreshing cold water. The staff is really nice and friendly. They’re currently closed for renovation, so call to check if they’re open. UPDATE: The price for the buffet has increased since they renovated, food quality and service is still excellent.

After moving here a couple years ago, I was wondering where I would get my mandarin fix… SOGLAD I listened to the locals and found Great Woods Mandarin! The food is great, the place very clean, and once in a while we will sit in for the dinner buffet, but mostly pick up or have it delivered. The combination plates are huge and very good. Aside from the excellent food, I do have to say that the staff is FANTASTIC! Especially the manager that is always at the front/bar/take out area. He always greets with a friendly hello, thanks me for my business, and takes care of me very quickly. Do yourself a favor and check out this great place!!! You’ll be glad you did… :D

Prices are very reasonable. They should put more food in the buffet. There is never anything or it is half full even at noon when they know the buffet is the most popular option and the main reason why people go there.

I am not a fan of Chinese food, but my husband is. We tired this place for the first time the other night. We both had the hot and sour soup which was very good. My husband got the buffet and had a plate full and then got a bit sketched out by another customer just walking around and standing near the food. I got the bean curd in Szechuan sauce. It was a big portion and really good. I think we will go back, but most likely do take out.

At first I wanted to walk right out but I gave it a chance. The buffet table looked so small it was only one table 2 sides. To my surprise they had a nice selection of food and it was very good ! Nothing special in my opinion but it was good

Came to this buffet since our usual was closed for renovations in raynham. Came on a Tuesday Night and was dead inside. When we saw the one island of food we were having second thoughts but decided to try it anyways. Had all the basics you would expect from a chinese buffet like general gau, beef and broccoli, lo mein, etc. Not a huge selection but was«Pleasantly» suprised at the quality of the food. Very fresh and constantly replenished when any dish got low. Service was friendly and courteous. Glad we gave it shot and didnt judge a book by its cover.

The best Chinese buffet I’ve been to. The service is astoundingly good. I’ve actually arrived late for buffets(when there is some cold food left) and they proceeded to ask which dishes I would like and then make them fresh for me.

This is the only Chinese food we order in Norton for the last 10 years. Delivery is very fast. The spicy dishes are spicy enough. The quality is very good. Recently remodeled dining room with a big bar.

Went after rain delay at TPC and was very delighted. Food at Lunch Buffet was very tasty and when they ran low on something they would replenish it if we wanted more of a certain item by cooking it fresh for us. Their Vegetable Egg Fu Yung is incredible. The place is small, but the prices and food quality are awesome ! Lunch Buffet only costs $ 6.85 a person and it comes with your choice of soup and beverage. A Definite revisit when in Norton !

The food tasted pretty good, but was very salty and not kept warm. I can deal with the saltiness, but there is no need for the food to be so cold. Waitress very nice. Not a really nice atmosphere, water stains all over ceiling. Restaurant has lots of customers, I imagine that it is because it really is a good value, but I certainly won’t go back.

This is a typical Chinese restaurant. They have a decent lunch and evening buffet. The owner told me that he doesn’t change the buffet very much because he only puts out the menu items that sell. They restock often and keep the buffet clean. They do a lot of take out.
