Julie at Claire’s Garden was so helpful and went out of her way to find what I was looking for. I wanted something to send for the birth of a new baby, and I was looking for something the new parents — gardening enthusiasts — could plant in commemoration. I picked a hydrangea pictured online. She explained that the supplier was out of them. When I told her what I was looking for, she explained that that variety of hydrangea I’d seen online wasn’t able to over-winter anyway and asked if I could hold on a day, while she looked into other options, like perhaps a tree, and I said yes. She came back saying the trees she found didn’t look too great, but that she had found a hardy and profusely-blooming hydrangea. The new parents were thrilled, even the grandma wrote me to say how great it looked and she charged me no more than the original order had been but for a better plant. Because they made the extra effort, I definitely would go there again.
