Only been once but I will be coming back very soon! Their French toast was some of the best I have ever had!!!

This breakfast slash brunch spot is great for your breakfast or lunch fix. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Second time I have ate here and won’t be my last only complaint would be kind of limited seating and the parking lot is very small

This might not be totally fair, I am a cornbeef hash freak. Asked if it was home made and was told yes. Not sure. why someone would take the make homemade. cornbeef has look and taste like non home made. But it was presented well in a cast iron skillet and was hot from first to last bite. Restaurwnt.was.super clean, and the staff was super friendly. Will definately eat here again and D explore. other skillets off the menu. I liked the meal being hit from start to finish.

I love everything about this place! Great food and service! The small town atmosphere is admirable. Sometimes have to wait, but worth it!

Cute place to meet friends for breakfast. It looks like a family diner straight out of a movie. A little bit of an older place but it looks fine. The food is cheap and the menu is pretty large. They have all the standard breakfast foods + some extras. Good food and good company!

I love early bird. I’d probably have to say the only thing I don’t like is their«hash browns» which are more just like roughly chopped potatoes just a personal preference.

Local diner feel, it’s about what I expected… just decent food. Service was great though. No need for photos, food was ok.

This sure is a popular place! There was a very disorganized line(well, more of a crowd) of people waiting to be seated, and no real organization to it. Granted, it’s seat yourself, but there wasn’t much indication from the staff about which tables were available. And the line to pay(The cash register is behind the counter, where the servers are getting the food. It seemed an odd place to put that) made it even more confusing to know how the seating worked. However, they did clean tables off quickly and my wait was only about 10 minutes. I ordered a Greek scramble. It came with toast or biscuit and potatoes. I was going to get a biscuit(my usual first love), but I saw that they had the good Jewish rye bread that I love, so I got that instead and was not disappointed. It came with a little container of grape jelly. I prefer the restaurants that have the jelly caddy on the table so you can choose the jelly you want. The eggs had bits of feta and tomato in them and were fine. The potatoes were kind of anemic, though, and rather undercooked for my taste. This is obviously a neighborhood place where people know each other. A server asked someone to step inside to keep the air conditioning from going outside, and then she said to me, «I can talk like that to him; he’s my neighbor.» There was also a group of people who seemed to have come from a run of some sort, and they also seemed to know the staff. It isn’t a bad place, but it isn’t outstanding, either. But if you like little neighborhood restaurants, this is a good bet.

Went here for brunch this morning for the first time. Typical American diner atmosphere with good food. I got the corned beef sandwich with hash browns. I really liked the quality of the corned beef, very lean. My boyfriend got the meat lovers skillet and he was pleased. Service was also attentive.

Food was quick and plentiful, and had plenty of attention from the waitstaff. Bonus that I could get breakfast well past noon. Certainly worth eating there again.

If you are like me after a rough week, you for sure forgot to stop by the grocery store to get the ingredients for the weekend breakfast. So it’s Saturday morning and you scratch your head in front of the fridge and your brain is struggling between milk with cereal or oatmeal. This is when places like early bird come handily. Ready coffee, fast service and friendly people create the perfect invitation to start the weekend. If you are early enough you will see guys like me with a mess as hair and with their wives fresh as spring morning, we men are lazy over the weekend. Thru the day you see the change and now you have people more formal taking their brunch. So the ambient is great and food as well. They have different combinations of eggs plus other goodies. I love the pancakes in there. The orange juice is fresh made with a gears machine that it is fascinating for the kids. Omelette are good as well except for the Mexican omelette. Please don’t ask for that one. In summary is an omelette with pico de gallo, not good. As a Mexican I expected more chorizo and a real chile de arbol salsa. The best spicy mix to recuperate from a long night of friends and drinks. So start your day with a right prices, great food and nice service in this restaurant.

If you enjoy Denny’s, you’ll love this place. Good for fast service but the food is blah. Challah French toast couldn’t be any more bland. Side sausage was decent. My wife had the salmon lox scramble which had no flavor at all. It is pretty clean, but this foodie will not be back

Please is kind of outdated, which is usually the first thing I notice about a restaurant. However, the breakfast is pretty good and probably the best around Northville. However, if I feel like a little bit of a drive, i’ll head to Breakfast Club in Farmington.

If you’ve got fresh and pulpy orange juice that comes out of a machine that looks like you could put a quarter in and get fake teeth or a temporary skull tattoo you’re probably a decent breakfast establishment. This place is. Their skillet meals are served in actual don’t-touch-them-or-they’ll-burn-all-your-flesh-off skillets which I appreciated. Service was slow and erratic but the food and the obscene amount of bird decorations were good.

I didn’t get any worms! I guess I wasn’t the early bird. Of course they don’t serve any worms but that’s the first thing that crossed my mind when we decided to meet here before going to the auto show. Good fast breakfast. I had the mini breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast hash browns and pancakes. Everything was hot and and tasted fresh. The pancakes were really fluffy and good. The service was great. Hot coffee refills fast. We’ll be meeting up here again.

the only reason why i couldn’t give them a 5 star is because they have a limited Menu. Another one of my Favorite Breakfast places — on a Sunday. It is also crowded — Try going there on a Saturday to dodge the sunday crowd ;-) My favorite is the mediterranean scrambled egg. They have freshly squeezed orange juice which is delicious and my wife has to have that!

Stopped in for a quick brunch early before a wedding. No parking in the small lot was available, but super easy to find a spot on the street. There was quite the rooster motif goin on which was funny. Small spot — seat yourself. Very homey diner feel. The omelets were huge, and the skillets were served right out of the oven to the temp of a hot pad on the table and a handle cover! I got the corned beef hash with onions skillet, which is made in house. It was fine but very overcooked and mushy — plus it gave me a pretty upset stomach. Joe got the meatlovers and the portion was much larger. They fresh squeeze(well, a machine does) the orange juice, but we just stuck with coffee. The prices are cheap and the service is quick, so come in expecting traditional small diner food, and you won’t leave disappointed.

The early bird gets the worm… or the frozen veggies in their omlets. Whatever way you look at it… Eh — a solid 3 star breakfast joint. They will accomodate for egg white or egg beaters, which is nice. I ordered the veggie omlette which was dispointing. The veggies were all soggy and canned or previously frozen and although the menu boated that it would have swiss cheese in it… very skimpy portion. The hashbrowns were a little bland(had to add a lot of salt) and they got my toast order wrong(I asked for Rye and got Sourdough). My mom got a ham and cheese omlette which was WAY better and cheesier. I’ll stick to the hearty stuff next time. One saving grace — they had great coffee, with prompt refills and plenty of variety in flavored creamers on each table.

Mmmh. Breakfast. Unless you come on the weekend, then it is more like breakslow here. On occasion we used to go to the Dandy Gander, the restaurant which occupied this location prior, but damn– someone’s looking mighty purdy! The restaurant had a nice overhaul and now exhudes a chicken/rooster heavy, country-ish feel. Not really my thing, but an improvement nonetheless. There was quite a wait that morning so we had ample opportunity to peruse the menu. I decided upon a Mediterranean scramble: scrambled eggs, roasted red peppers and feta cheese to which I added onions. It was served with terribly bland hashbrowns and toast of your choice. In that case I will have sourdough, please. I really liked the bold flavors in this scramble, however my breakfast mates felt the flavors were too assertive for breakfast. Good thing it was my plate. The toast that was served was more like a rustic French or even Greek type bread and not a trace of sour was detected. I told our waittress I thought there was a mistake, but she came back with an answer from the kitchen which pretty much stated that I was full of sheet. Sorry, but I wasn’t.and what the heck? Anyways, my family ordered the corned beef hash skillet and the omelet with homemade sausage gravy and they really enjoyed both. The corned beef hash looked good, there were large-ish pieces of meat and it definitely wasn’t the canned catfood-like kind. Fresh food paired with fresh OJ on the menu makes for a cute little place in downtown Northville which is worth trying out.

In an earlier incarnation, this was the Dandy Gander. Much spruced up, and with delicious, new menu offerings, The Early Bird is much more deserving of your patronage than the Dandy Gander was. Coffee is decent, portions are huge, service is efficient, and prices are affordable. Be sure to try the fresh squeezed orange juice! One word of warning — locals have noticed the upgrade: expect to wait for a seat if you come on Sunday between 9am and 11am.
