Decided to have a pulled pork sandwich after a long time and man I did choose the right place! The food was really good and the service was great too! Only problem I would say is the location: unless you know about this place, there’s no way you can find it! Planning to try the fish and chips next time: D

One of Northville best kept secrets. Between the amazing fresh food and always smiling faces that serve you, you can’t help but be a returning customer :) Authentic Palestinian dishes and the only place I know that you can get a yummy Charlie smoothie!!! I truly appreciate how the staff makes you feel like family everytime you go there

I love this place. Especially their breakfasts. The pita omelette are the bomb. I used to eat here almost every Saturday morning after a workout at the gym. I no longer live in MI but I try to eat here when I do come back.

Hands-down one of our favorite sub shops all all-around restaurants in the area, diversity for the whole family to eat something different. The three partners serve our community for the last 20+ years. Thank you Charlie and George

If you want friendly, inviting, fast and affordable food. You must come here! They have the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted. Their breakfast is amazing and they have a great variety of subs and sandwiches and wraps. They have something for pretty much anyone if you come here. It’s family owned so you know they take care of their customers. I highly recommend this place!

Large, varied menu, and they do everything well. It’s great if you aren’t sure what you want because there are so many options. My favorites are the pancakes, beer battered French fries, turkey subs, and pretty much anything from the salad bar. Oh also, lots of fresh soups. Order at the counter and have a seat, they will bring your order out to you. I’ve been going there since they opened and have no intention of stopping!

Charlies is one of those places where you feel like family. It’s good is great, the coffee unsurpassed, the service staff is friendly, and the prices are great. Charlies WILL deliver for groups. This is my go to place to eat and get a latte.

This is a very cute homey feel deli type of place. We both had the Mac & cheese and was very disappointed. First it was cool not very warm, second the cheese sauce was more like a cream sauce than a cheesy Sauce and the noodles were over cooked not to mention the bread crumbs on top were straight out of the can, not toasted! However we did have the Tomato spinach orzo soup which was good, So maybe we will try a sandwich next time with the soup!

healthy, nutritious and delicious. what else could you ask for ? how about a family business run by people who are passionate about quality and service. try their soups or omelettes or scones … all prepared by one of the owners. you have to look to find the building at six /haggerty but once you have tried it, it stands out a mile.

Average ok deli. Corned beef not as lean as I would have liked and I didn’t care for their use of Russian dressing or spiced cole slaw.

Went here for lunch the other day. I had an $ 8 pastrami on rye that was on the skimpy side with the meat. The pastrami tasted good; however, a few pieces of pastrami doubled over in the middle and single slice thickness in the rest of the sandwich is not worth $ 8. Fries were $ 2.25 ish and also a skimpy portion and not particularly hot. Tables were not very clean. Was disappointed based on all the 5* reviews. Won’t be returning.

I’ve been going to Charlie’s for years and never had something that was under a five star rating, yum! I especially like their chicken tender wrap.

This little deli is an awesome example of a small business run well. The food has always been excellent and affordable. And the service is pleasant as well. You can expect an assortment of sandwiches and pitas, as well as omelets, baked goods, homemade soups and some Mediterranean favorites as well. I particularly love their«King’s Dish» which is chicken, collards and rice seasoned perfectly. Their omelet pitas are awesome as well. For a person who is watching their waistline, you can certainly find items to please. Or… if you want a delish baked good… they have those too.

This place is a hidden gem. Everything on the menu is amazing. I’ve been going here for around 12 years and I’m overly satisfied every time. The prices are fair and everything is fresh and delicious. The chili is fantastic and the ham and cheese toasted sub is phenomenal. The Philly cheesesteak is probably My favorite item. The breakfast is also fantastic. I recommend the breakfast sandwiches.

Decided to drop in when we were in the Northville. The place would be hard to find if my partner in crime didn’t already know where it was. Set back right by a busy intersection — they probably go unnoticed. The food is a little pricey, but everything we had was good. Bus your own table and get your own drink and condiments. I don’t mind. It just means that I’m okay spending a little more because there really isn’t a reason to tip. The onion rings were delicious, but we only got 4 with our combo order. The establishment is a little janky and overwhelming. They have a refrigerated case but it had so much with no prices that I didn’t even bother. In all if I am in the area I may drop in, but overall it isn’t worth the drive out of your way.

If you are looking for some good food at low prices I can’t recommend this place enough. However, if atmosphere is an important factor for you I highly recommend you reconsider stopping here as it is at best a diner level environment. The omlettes deliver a fresh twist on any of the omellete varieties by wrapping them in Pita and everything is cooked fresh to order. Though this certainly isn’t my favorite breakfast place it’s the best I’ve found in the area so far.

Overall Rating: 2 I ordered the Northville Turkey Reuben & Cheese and fries. Please note that my review is only on these items and your experience may be different based on what you order. As this is my first time ordering from here, I am only going to give general observations about the food(taste) I ordered and not state whether it was good or bad. I will let you decide based the food descriptions… but as you can tell from my rating, these items did not impress me. I will definitely return to try their corned beef sandwich and breakfast and update my review as I hear these are good. Taste Rating: 2 Northville Turkey Reuben & Cheese — 1) Had more cole slaw than turkey 2) Turkey was a little mushy 2) Toasted bread didn’t hold up and fell apart… likely due to heavy amount of sauce added Fries — 1) Crispy and fresh Value Rating: 2 Almost $ 10 for a sandwich and fries is not an great deal… not even an ‘ok’ deal, especially for the amount of fries received. The $ 6.99 sandwich is only worth $ 4.99 in my opinion… and you definitely don’t receive over $ 2 in fries. For the price, you’re better off going to the Senate Coney Island down the street. Service Rating: 3 The staff was attentive and patient with me(as I said, this was my first time here). Not overly friendly, but not rude either.

I love Charlie’s!!! The atmosphere is so natural. Grouchy teens working as cashiers. food always fresh everything’s out dated what’s not to like. I would recommend the pita omelette they are so good! The outward appearance doesn’t look as good as the food but it taste great & great prices. I actually love the juice! Apple & carrot is my favorite. This is my go to when I don’t know what to do for breakfast /lunch on a lazy weekend! Thanks Charlie.

I am over the moon about their breakfasts. Their crispy-edged strawberry pancakes are so delish, I never think about syrup. The breakfast sandwich is on grilled wheat bread with a delicious white cheese and sliced sausage links for that remind me of my own home-cooked breakfasts. Their smoothies are perfect, just the right consistency and flavor — I had the strawberry banana and honey smoothie. I used to go here all the time when I lived in the neighborhood, but this was the first time in years that I’ve returned. It’s good to know that Charley, the owner who introduces himself to his customers, has kept up his standards. I am struggling to think of something to be critical about, and coming up empty.

They have an excellent menu for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You order at the counter and they have a lot of comfortable tables for you to sit at. They have a variety of soups, I had the chicken /lemon rice to start my lunch. It is a little more lemony than average, but ok. The corned beef sandwich was excellent — -toasted and warm with a good cheese. Will go back.

I’ve been a customer here for the past 15 years. Unfortunately we don’t go as frequently as we used to because service and quality of food has gone down hill, since the father had stepped back. The father ran a tight ship. He knew(and still does when he’s there) how to connect with the customers. He made you feel like you were his priority and serving a great product was his mission… Simple hello w/smile, small talk, humor, checking in with you when you ate, occasionally bringing special lil treats from the back. And always thank you for coming. Not so for the young, disinterested man who now runs the place. He’s usually planted at a table, flipping channels, reading a paper and rarely interacts with anyone. In our last handful of visits the service has been subpar to what charley delivered. Slow, disinterested… orders incorrect. delayed… Onion rings, chicken strips fried in old oil and burnt… When brought to the waitresses attn. she tried to resolve it(young man running the place, just sat there flipping the channels on the tv) but guy in kitchen told her it’s just the way they are frying up and there’s nothing they can do about it… too many negatives over the past few visits.

Stopped by Charley’s tonight for dinner after stumbling on it waiting for the next showing of the Smurfs 2 down the street… Walking in the door, I wasn’t sure what we were supposed to do, order at the counter or sit down and wait. Therefore, we walked up to the counter. I asked the waitress behind the counter if we sit and order or come to the counter and all she replied was, «Whatever.»??? That threw me for a loop, so we ended up ordering at the counter, to which opened up another issue — to tip or not to tip??? I was paying on Debit, so had to pay then and added a tip. Although I was already confused by the entire principle of this place. LOL My wife ordered the White Chicken Chili and Pasta Salad side. I ordered the breakfast special, cause I read that it was good… My grandson had the dino chicken tenders and fries. My wife and grandson had pop, so got the cups at the counter and filled them up themselves. I ordered a coffee, and waited and waited… Finally the waitress came to our table with the food, well my wife and grandson’s anyway, to which I asked about the coffee — she looked at me, and replied, «Oh yeah, I forgot, sorry.» Needless to say, being we were the only people in the place at the time, besides the owner and other wait staff and cooks, I was a bit surprised. Well she went and got it, brought it out and walked away. I tried it and it was just a tad warmer than room temp??? YUCK! Well, she finally brought my b-fast special and from the looks of it, see pic, it didn’t really look that good… The egg yolks were broke, the bacon was petrified, the hash browns tasted like left overs from breakfast and the toast was un-buttered! WTH!!! I guess I can see why this place was so dead at 6:00pm on a Monday night! I choked it down as we were going to take my grandson down the street to see Smurfs 2, but I was already turning blue from this experience alone… :( My wife thought the chili was ok, and my grandson ate all of his plate, so my review came up from 1 star to 2… Then getting ready to leave, I thought that we left our plates at the table, but seen a sign on top of garbage can as to where to leave the silverware, etc… So, I went back to my table and took care of our mess… Like I stated, this place is confusing. From the mediocre wait staff, the cook the killed a b-fast special and lukewarm coffee, this place needs an awakening… I’m still not sure what to think of it… I believe I’m the only review this year so far, so maybe that could be why, as the place has a lot of decent reviews. I just didn’t witness all the hype…
