So, we found this place on accident.
But glad we did!
The food was REALLY REALLY GOOD. And we ordered a ton of it…
They have a really decent happy hour too, and during Kings games. Worth going in for if you live locally.
But here is my only complaint… the service is lacking. So many times we were needing things and our server was on her phone, or too busy talking, or just not observant. She was very forgetful and it wasn’t a busy afternoon either. We were also charged a full meal price for something that we should not have been either, which really bothered us, but at that point we were so bothered by the lack of service that we just wanted to leave.
We will go back, but only because the food was good.
Hope the service gets some help though…

Delicious, flavorful bar food. When I was here I tried the peanut butter & bacon burger and it was absolutely delicious! I also love that they serve a lot of local breweries. I’ve been wanting to see what the area had to offer as far as microbreweries and this made for a nice convenient place to do it all in one place!
When we were there, it appeared that there was only one waitress for the entire place. Because of that (& to no fault of hers) service was a bit slow. That wasn’t fair to her. I wish they had given her some backup.
This is a nice place to go on a random weekday. I can imagine it gets quite loud & packed during major sporting events. That’s not my cup of tea. But I was here on a random Wednesday and it was great. Also, keep in mind that this place looks very unassuming from the outside. They also blacked out their windows (probably to keep people from standing outside & watching their TVs) so don’t miss it if you’re looking for it!

Fried mac & cheese is just amazing. It’s basically three large slabs of deep-fried goodness. I got this amazing, fat burger where the bacon was crunchy yet soft. I will definitely return to get a beer and some more burgers and onion rings! it’s about $ 17 for a side and a burger.

AMBIANCE: Pretty causal. Almost looks like fast food joint. Not busy when we came.
FOOD:
Fried mac & cheese: 5÷5− I recommend
–3 good portion size pieces
All American burger: ⁴⁄₅
–Average good burger with cheese and bacon on egg (?) brioche bun
–Seasoned fries that came with it were good
–Good size portion. I only finished half (full from Mac & cheese)
Friend got the beef fajitas and she said they were good
SERVICE: ⁵⁄₅
–Server was nice and didn’t rush us
I would come back.
Too bad I’m not a beer fan.

I have been wanting to come to this place for the longest and try their variety of beers and food. Let me tell you, it is by far the best gastropub in the valley. The service is great, attentive, and I had no complaints. I went on Sunday to watch football and the waitress that got my order was very attentive. I didn’t even have to ask her for additional requests. She was on it! Her name was Julie. I will be definitely be back to try what else is on their menu. Awesome service!

Taps is one of the only gastropubs out in the valley around this area. So they’re made up of craft burgers, craft beer, and other great interesting food items. Half of the taps rotate in and out almost every other week which is great because there’s always something new. They play all the sports on the 7 different tvs in the restaurant including the huge big screen tv. The atmosphere here is great and the employees are all great too. You should definitely check this place out!

FINALLY a Gastropub n the valley with a great microbrew selection. Came here on a date after we finished with dinner. From the outside all you really see is TAPS and OPEN. Place is an awesome inside. Small place but have a buck of areas to sit. We were lucky to grab a seat at the bar. I felt like I was in AS at a variety with all the beers written in chalk on the wall above. Since there were WAY too many good beers on tap we got the Flight with 4 beers (6 ounces each) for $ 12. GREAT DEAL! The customer service at the bar was great. Forgot her name but she was super helpful in slimming down the beer choices. I wanted all of them! Haha. We were too full from dinner or else I would have loved to order food. Can’t wait to come back!

Top notch beer, food, and service! What more can you ask for! The beer selection is amazing, from local brewery’s in Sfv, to San Diego and Colorado. The owners are awesome always socializing with customers at the bar. Make sure you try the fried mac n cheese, sweater burger, and finish it off with a delicious la fin du monde!

I love this bar! They serve beer and wine only and their beer selections is very interesting! The bartenders are super friendly and funny! I don’t like that they close so early but that’s not a big deal! Will be coming here for a long time.

Come here for Sunday football. That’s about all that it’s good for.
The food is mediocre. The staff is super slow. The waitress didn’t even bring utensils to eat my food. She would hang around in the back talking to coworkers instead of checking up on our table. Forgot to even pick up check off the table so we can leave. We had to literally get up from our table and walk to the back to get her attention.
I’ve been here a few times only to watch football and every time it’s the same slow service. It’s a cool place and perfect for watching football. But they need to step up their game.

KINGS FANS rejoice!!!
This is *THE* bar to go for LA hockey fans. TAPS has an excellent selection of beers from near and far and their selection rotates frequently. The food is cooked fresh to order so it takes a bit longer but totally worth the wait. My girlfriend and I will be very, very happy regulars here for a long time. GO KINGS GO!

This place sucks hockey pucks!!! Not worthy of being called a Kings bar/restaurant!!! Service sucks!!! As I watch my waitress eat, text, chit-chat as my food gets cold. One bathroom out of order of course, and food was mediocre at best. Pay the extra money to go to an actual Kings game an eat the hot dogs, you will have a better experience!!! Or don’t trust me and pay the price that I did tonight.

I’ve been coming here after the gym for a year. The chicken plate is consistently excellent, as is the garlic wrap with chicken. The place is always just-busy-enough to be fun, but not so busy as to be elbow-to-elbow crowded or where you’ll have to wait for a seat.
The servers are cool, the 20-something-years-old owners will hang with you at the bar and talk about sports, etc., the atmosphere is chill but fun. Sports is always on the TV, and the (wide variety of) beer is cold.
I don’t treat it like a sports bar, or even a regular bar — it’s too quiet on Friday and Saturday nights for that — but as just a great little restaurant/hang out spot that serves good food and drink at a reasonable price.
Truly, what more could you ask for an early evening in the north Valley?

Only reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is because they only have beer and wine. Which isn’t always a bad thing but sometimes you just need that kind of drink.
Also the parking is a little cray because it’s by the gym, but the parking lot is huge.
But the most important factor of this place is they show the Dodger game!!!
Let’s go Dodgers!!!

Let’s sum up Taps. Strong service, strong gastro-pubby food, good spirits selection in a somewhat smallish space with modern TV’s to watch your favorite sporting event. They offer some early bird nay HH specials but they are a buck or so off normal pricing and special discounts when the LA home teams are on the field, pitch, diamond, rink, court or the like.
Mahi Mahi plate-What a nice well rounded and healthy option. Great piece of fish
and cooked just right.
Crispy Fish Tacos-A fine example if not the ultimate exemplary version of the fish taco.
Fried Mac N Cheese– A fan favorite apparently, I was in like and not in love with this one. A strong like though.
Did I mention how desperately this section of SF valley suburbia needs more places like Taps? On some level Taps has a micro-Yard house feel to it but on the plus side it’s intimate and not a madhouse of an effort to get in and out. I will definitely partake of Taps again.
