Rudy’s Barber Shop & Styling

I was looking for a quick haircut before New Years Eve… I was meeting some friends for dinner and I did not have time to get a haircut after work. So I looked on Unilocal and found Rudy’s barbershop, it’s close to my office. Needless to say, I was impressed with my haircut. The younger man took his time and seemed like he likes his job, he worked his skills and gave me a great low fade and a good trim. I’ll definitely be returning for my next haircut. $ 14 well spent!

These guys are probably the worst haircut on the west side. Which would be somewhat excusable if they were nice about it. Huge chip on their shoulders for whatever reason. Are unable to hold a reservation (TWICE IN ONE DAY). They need to be driven off the block.
Don’t go here unless you’re willing to A. Roll the dice on your hair and/​or B. have them give your appointment away.
Seriously like a Seinfeld episode… they can take reservations… they just can’t HOLD the reservations. Anyone can «take a reservation». They key is HOLDING the reservation. Good luck.

Just moved to Northridge from down town LA and was looking for a worthy barbershop to go from now on, I wandered into this one due to proximity and decent reviews, big mistake. I just wanted #2 clip on the sides and he didn’t even do it evenly needless to say I would never ever go back to this place ever!

Best barber shop around! Sweetest man also! Plus very inexpensive. :))) recommend!

Today, I went back to Rudy’s Barber Shop & Styling for another shampoo, flat-​top #1, and shave, and once again, I was not disappointed. The flat-​top that I got at Rudy’s on March 31^st held up very well, as I noticed for the past six weeks when I used Lucky Tiger hair tonic (the 3-​purpose kind) and Depp hair gel; it remained spiky throughout that time. But my hair was growing back, so, I decided to get another one. And, just like the first time back on March 31^st, the older gentlemen attended me and did a fantastic job. He flat-​topped my hair first, then shaved my face (the shave was fine, but since I let my beard grow to an 8-​day growth, a few spots didn’t shave as well as they should have been, but that was fine). During the shave, I received a hot towel treatment before I was shaved, which was great, and finally, I got my hair washed. The next time I go to Rudy’s, I’ll skip the shampoo by washing my hair at home first, before going there again and just ask for a flat-​top # 1 and a shave (I once again had to lean over the sink for a shampoo, just like the last time). I must mention that the barber used a shampoo that had a scent of cocoanut, that I found pleasant-​smelling. Another great service at Rudy’s. which this time around cost me $ 23, instead of $ 25. Five-​stars once again! =D

I love this place. $ 8.00 for a great straight razor shave. No cut, nick or sting, just a nice clean shave. Not too fancy, but John has been doing this forever and it shows. He finishes the shave with a hot towel clean up and some touch up all around the neck area. Parking is fine, price is great, shaves is good quality.
