Another Hawaiian restaurant similar to L&L BBQ. A little bit of a further drive I thought I’d give them a try hoping their preparation of their food will be different. The restaurant is nice and clean. The staff are warm and friendly. The menus are pretty much identical. I got my favorite, Kalua pork. It basically tastes the same. Nothing done more or differently to it. Probably it’s safe to say the other dishes as well. However the macaroni salad is so much better. Just as good as L&L it’s a great place to eat.

This is the most legit Hawaiian hole in the wall locally. The meat is moist, and flava is ono. Not saying it would hold up to Hawaii standard, but excellent for what you get in the valley. Don’t forget they have malasadas!

It almost looks like L&L but it’s QQ… Food is okay just didn’t felt like the price suits the food being that im used to L&L in gardena and LA areas and they’re a lot cheaper and better tasting. I’m not in a hurry to be back.

The meat taste a bit more salty then my usual tongue. However, portions are good and it is not greasy. I come here for a good balance between quality and quantity. Avoid the Spam Musubi.

This place has the best food for a very reasonable amount. They serve big portions so unless you’re starving you’ll have left overs. Besides that, friendly and very quick with to go orders.

I had called to place an order for to go. When I arrived there I had asked the cashier if the hot chili sauce was the bag? She said no. So I grabbed couple hot sauces and throw in my bag. When I looked in my bag I realized there was no FOLKS, NAPKINS or any sauces. I told the cashier Vanessa that i had place an order to go and asked why there isnt any folks or napkins and why my drinks aren’t ready? She said«it’s self serve» and she talk back to me and said«everyone knows that» How am I suppose to know that? What if I never look in ny bag and I return to my office. how am i suppose to eat my food??? Vanessa was not polite and the Bbq chicken wasn’t that good no flavor and it was so dry. Horrible customer service and I’m definitely not coming back.

Delish! Everything we had here was great! Very happy nothing was greasy, including the donuts. Huge portions and all delicious. If you check-in on Unilocal you will get $ 2 off a plate.

4.5 stars! L&L who? Portions are insane so if you are«Hangry» this is the place to go. We ordered Chicken Katsu and BbQ mix with Mac. The the weight of these combo plates is ridiculous. They do not skimp on the food. I particularly enjoyed the Short Ribs and Beef BbQ. The chicken BBQ and Katsu are good too but I like the beef dishes better and I like how non greasy it is. Their Mac goes perfectly with the dinner. Happy to find a Hawaiin place in the valley. Thank you Q&Q

Great variety in selection. Quality of food is on their own level. And prices are not bad at all. Definitely not the last time for us to come here. We may be back next week if we are in town. Service provided was nice and efficient. People(other customers) around us were friendly as well and my wife and I struck up a conversation with a few. Great establishment. At least try once if you’re in the mood for Hawaiian food.

I was born and raised in Hawaii and now live in California for about a year now. This is the closest thing to Hawaiian food I found. It reminds me of the island. Try the Kalua pig and cabbage plate, the pork lau lau, loco moco or the spam musubi. It’s so ono! Meaning good! Mahalos Q N Q BBQ

I think I’m addicted to this place. My boyfriend tells me I have a problem and doesn’t understand how I can eat here so often. The price is perfect for the amount of food you get. I get the chicken combo and it’s like 2 meals in one. I always have leftovers and I always eat the leftovers. The macaroni salad is so good. I love to mix the rice and hot sauce into it. Ugh, this place. I can’t tell you enough how good this place is. Every time someone tells me they’re going to the north part of valley, I always say, if you’re hungry check out Q&Q Hawaiian BBQ in Northridge. You won’t be disappointed. Yes…I believe I’m addicted.

You know how it is on a Saturday when you’re out running errands… you get hungry. So I was searching Unilocal for some place new to go and eat and this place was right next to where I was. So I said why fight it? I like Hawaiian BBQ and I haven’t been here yet so what the heck?! Well it was perfect! Nice and cool inside to get out of the heat on a summer day. Clean and fresh with nice bench seating and a even had a flat screen to watch a little tv while I ate. The staff girl greeted me as I walked in and she was super friendly. I went with the old tried and true Hawaiian bbq chicken and was not disappointed! Great flavor, rice cooked to perfection and not super sticky, and they had condiments for days. I paid about $ 10 bucks with a drink(free refills too btw) and the atmosphere was nice and enjoyable! Not to mention it’s right by the carwash so it’s like killing two birds with one stone. I’ll definitely be back for seconds!

–Place is amazing. –Prices are great. Better value than L&L. –Less greasy than L&L. –Where else are you going to Hawaiian plate lunch food in the Valley? Like them on Facebook and you get 15% off. –If you are from Hawaii, as I have lived there as a local a few times in my life, this is the local place to go. Even if you cook the food at home as I do, when you don’t have time I go here to eat. –So if you are missing the island, like people needed to go back in the show Lost, then this place will make you feel more like you are home again.

Clean, cheap(er than L&L), and everything I’ve ordered hasn’t failed me yet! I was surprised that their chicken teriyaki bowl was actually good, too! I’d come back here over L&L because of the location, service, price and quality of the food.

I was craving Hawaiian food one evening and Q&Q definitely satisfied my occasional desire for Hawaiian eats. I love when these places have the mini-plates as the food is so heavy that the mini size is all I need. The chicken katsu was made fresh to order. Crisp fried chicken over steamed white rice was delightful and my comfort food. I also love the macaroni salad. I also ordered the spam musubi as a side which was good, but I’ve definitely had better elsewhere. The spam was really hefty. I didn’t really like the spam to rice ratio, and the small piece nori around it.

First off, I called and ordered ahead. The lady said the food would be ready in 5 minutes. That should have been a red flag for me considering I usually wait 15 minutes at Ono for them to prepare my food. Just seems too quick. I ordered 2BBQ Mix combos and spam musubi. I asked for 1BBQ Mix with no rice and extra cabbage to replace the rice. When I got home I noticed they gave me extra macaroni salad instead of extra cabbage. Some would think that’s good to get more macaroni salad, but it’s just not what I wanted. Also there was sauce all over the bottom of the bag. Apparently whoever packed the sauce didn’t close the lid tight enough. Now the food. Immediately upon opening the box I was able to smell a harsh meat smell. Almost like smelling an actual cow I guess. That turned me off but I was hungry so I gave it a chance. The short rib was so rubbery and chewy that literally my jaw hurt from chewing it. The chicken did not taste fresh and was totally lacking flavor. The bbq shredded beef stuff was rubbery and chewy as well. Usually macaroni salad is creamy and thick in texture but for some reason the macaroni salad here was watery. My son said he liked the spam musubi. For the 2BBQ mix combos and 2 pieces spam musubi it cost $ 22 something which is not bad. They have a deal where you can get $ 2 off with Unilocal check in. So for only $ 20 this meal was still not worth it. I would have been better off getting burgers at In-N-Out next door. Unfortunately the food I ordered from here is now in the trash.

Q&Q, L&L… what’s the difference ?&? (+) Fulfilled expectations in terms of portion size, menu, and taste. Nothing stood out too much but this is a solid option if you’re in the area craving that island style cuisine. (+) Usually for a 1st visit to a Hawaiian BBQ place, I go for the katsu because if they can’t get that right, then thumbs down probably on the rest of the food. The regular katsu was above average, not too greasy and with crispy breading and tender chicken. It was good. Didn’t get the curry version because I had curry recently. (+) They serve the Hawaiian Sun soda cans. Guava! POG! Yes please. (+) Ordered a side of spam musubi(they sell 2 pcs at a time, not individually), lot of rice vs. the spam ratio but it was fine. Can’t really go wrong with that combination. (Possible +) Small sign said they have Malasadas! I’m definitely trying some next time oo full to get dessert) so potential upgrade to at least a 4 star Located next to Five Guys and across from the car wash on Tampa. Just enter toward the Costco parking lot :)
