My family loves this place. They have the best burgers Ive ever had. The beef is quality, the fries are crisp and the portions are generous. I love how they serve the soda’s in these large mason jars. They also have great salmon and ribs!

This was our first time going to Rosie’s Corbin location, we had been regulars for years at the Tampa location, but it’s kinda out of site for us so we were in the mood & placed an order for takeout. The young man who took our order by phone was as nice as can be & the place is certainly super. However, the quality & value of the food was not quite what we had hoped for. We ordered the 10pc chicken wings & what we actually got was a 5 pieces of chicken wings, it seems that they count a chicken wing as 2 pieces. for $ 10. we felt that was a bit overpriced. The flavor was a sweet hot & tasty, but tempered by the cost. We also ordered a full rack of baby back ribs & we got 4 pieces of baby back ribs crammed into a styro box, while the chicken wings were in a huge aluminum tray? I think they got the packaging backwards. The ribs were a bit dry, some bones had no meat in the box? Peanut coleslaw was good as has been in the past. With so many really good places for bbq in the Northridge area, we were disappointed on this trip to Rosies.

I’m always on the lookout for good BBQ, but when I found rosie’s, there was no need to look anywhere else! The meats are tender, the flavor AMAZING(try the spicy BBQ sauce. You’re welcome!), and the portions are intense! Trust me, you will need a to go box! The owner is always a visible part of the hospitality experience, as he walks the floor seeing to guests’ enjoyment. The servers are the only hit-or-miss part of the experience, but even that isn’t worth lowering the 5 star rating. We love to come on Thursdays for their tri tip and chicken special! Don’t forget the rolls!

My family and I always come here for birthdays and celebrations. The only thing that keeps us coming back is the good food. Service usually sucks and always makes the experience not that great. Last time I went, we called before going and made a reservation because we had a big party. We arrive 15 minutes before our reservation time, and they inform us that our name isn’t on the list. Whoever I spoke to did not put our reservation down. So we had to wait while they got our tables out together. Good thing it wasn’t too crowded so the wait wasn’t that long. The time before that, we got seated rather quickly, and took them almost an hour to get our food out. I guess I have mixed feelings about this place. As I said… Aside from the long wait times we have to always end up dealing with, the food is really good.

My favorite bbq restaurant in the valley! My family and I have been coming here since I was a kid. Don’t laugh but my favorite thing here is their salad bar! lol something about their bread and variety of selections just always makes me crave for the unlimited salas bar… My second favorite is their bbq ribs of course! It’s finger lickin good! Service is ok. You can tell the waitresses have been working here for awhile as they seem to know the regulars. Drinks are pretty good too.

Was really surprised and impressed on how good it was. We just got home from eating dinner and I must say that Rosie’s is the best Bbq place in the valley. The location just moved here about a year ago. The place looks not the best, but don’t let that discourage you: the food is really good! I ordered the petite tri-tip and chicken plate. My wife ordered the petite sampler(baby back ribs, beef ribs, and ¼ chicken). My kids loved their meals(sliders for my son and grilled cheese for my dtr). It comes with a butter garlic bread for the table which disappeared in minutes. The beef was good, chicken really tender and the sides were excellent. The Bbq sauce is not to spicy but more on the tangy side. What made the dinner great was the service. It was quick, readily available to help, and the management came around 3 times to every table to make sure everyone’s needs were being met. Not even fancier restaurants have that type of service. Overall, it was a great experience. Will definitely come back. Make reservations on the weekend.

I just had a fabulous«Birthday Dinner» with my kids Cassie and Will at Rosie’s BBQ. I had won a free dinner in their contest, so I went there for my birthday. I was greeted by the owner Richard and his two sons, we had the nicest waitress Lindsey(very pretty young lady made me wish I was 30 years younger) she provided phenomenally great service. The food was fantastic, the birthday desert was great and all of the employees were exceptional. I recommend Rosie’s to all of my friends, and anyone who loves«Great» BBQ I want to thank Richard and his family, especially Richie, all of Rosie’s employees and my daughter and son in-law for a great 67th Birthday.

Let’s just start by saying the food is to die for! The baby back ribs and tri tip were so freaken delicious. not only that the service is unavailable. I’ve never been to a place where the owners come out and checks on you not only once but 4 times to make sure you are enjoying the food and are well taken care of. Even the bartender came out to make sure I enjoy my michelada, I’ve never had any bartender come out to make sure I enjoy my drink. The waitress was so friendly and helped me out to decided on what to order. The service was amazing. It will now be one of my top favorite restaurants to come to.

Oh, I had hiiiiigh hopes. Such hiiigh hopes, but like most barbecue joints, this place left me stuffed with disappointment. We had a family get together here and the round table was a poor choice because I get the worst anxiety in those situations. I thought ordering the tri tip and shrimp skewer would salvage things, but I literally could not eat the tri tip and the shrimp, although it smelled good, had ZERO flavor. So I basically sat there and listened to people chatter away while I felt like I was going to throw up, slowly putting mashed potatoes and macaronie in my mouth to kill time(Both of which were actually pretty good considering, I must admit.) The thing about the tri tip is… it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t TRI-TIP good, you know what I mean? If you love this cut and make it at home ever, then you’d understand. If not then maybe you’ll like it. As for my beloved boyfriend, he got the tri-tip with ribs and swore up and down he got beef ribs and not pork. He didn’t care for it either and as a result, we’ve been cooking delicious barbecue at home ever since! So it’s not all bad, I suppose. Atmosphere: Laid back if you don’t freak out over round tables like me. Drinks: Pretty good, not fantastic. Prices: It’s California barbecue, so it’s overpriced food smothered in sauce Service: Adequate

Hi all, Went here last night and was not impressed with the food. I had the beef tri tip with mashed potatoes and beans but there was no «wow» factor. Visually they could do better with the plating. We asked about ordering a beer but were told they didn’t have any; this was confusing since the menu says they serve beer and wine. Also, the place could have been a little cleaner; it’s a huge tip off when the restrooms are nasty and unkept. Good luck!

(+) Tri tip was good. Mashed potatoes good. Even the caesar salad was good! (+) Lunch special $ 8.95 price was reasonable. Dinner menu looked kinda pricey though. (-) Took a little while to be acknowledged by anyone after we were seated. Also, had to ask for rolls instead of them just bringing it out. Minor complaints, no big deal. (+/-) New location, very large dining areas which is nice that it’s spacious but seems almost too big and disconnected. I hope they do well. for a Monday there was a decent amount of patrons during lunch time but not busy. (+) Free onion strings with Unilocal check-in… saving it for next time.

The valley is well-known for having a lot of great family oriented restaurants. So we began our search for some good ol’ barbecue dinner. With the help of Unilocal,we came across Rosie’s Barbecue and made our reservation for a Friday night! Rosie’s BBQ is located in the city of Northridge, on the corner or Nordhoff Way and Corbin Avenue. It’s further away from the larger businesses and situated in a small strip mall. Plenty of spaces are available in the lot so parking won’t be an issue. When we arrived, I fell head over heels for the western décor! Rustic dining and home-cooked barbecue meals go hand in hand! There are steer horns strategically mounted on the wall as well as beautiful black and white photos of a cowboy grasping the ropes as he prepares to ride. Boots, horseshoes, and photos of bucking bulls give you that old west vibe! It really is a cozy restaurant! We were taken to our table as soon as we walked in. I was surprised that it wasn’t too busy on a Friday night but I figured that it was due to its location. After all, it is further away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. So I immediately began to scan the menu for some seafood dishes. Although the salmon and shrimp were quite tempting, I chose the catfish as it’s very popular with their customers. While we waited for our dinner to arrive, complimentary bread/dinner rolls were provided. They were generously buttered with some Parmesan cheese on top! It was served fresh and went over well with our family. I’d say that it took approximately 15 minutes for our food to be served at our table. The serving sizes were generous and the food looked and smelled delicious! The catfish was served blackened with a seasoning similar to Old Bay but not as strong. It was a beautiful golden brown color and the seasoning coated the surface of the fish evenly. Therefore, I couldn’t wait to dig into my meal! From the first bite, I had this perplexed look on my face. It wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would have been. The fish itself tasted ok but the seasoning did not add enough flavor to give it the kick that I was expecting. It was alright but it didn’t have that wow factor. My baked potato was a little overdone but I made the best of it. In the end, I had mixed feelings about Rosie’s Barbecue. The manager took the time to check on guests as they dined. He was personable and genuine with his interactions. I appreciated that their staff was very welcoming and flexible with our menu choices. Their staff was great but the food was just ok. I’m glad that we had an opportunity to check out Rosie’s and I can see why it’s popular with locals. It feels like home when you walk inside and you’re welcomed with open arm while being treated like family.

In 2003, the world was hit by a major shakeup! I graduated from high school! All those hard years working on driving myself crazy for grades and getting myself to become an adult paid off. After my high school graduation, my family took me to a local BBQ House in Northridge. I’ve heard that establishment then and I am glad it’s still around today. Unilocal wasn’t around in 2003, but now I can write my review. You carnivores jump start your blood sugar because we are going in to Rosie’s BBQ& Grillery in Northridge. I was very familiar with Rosie’s BBQ when it was located adjacent to the Northridge Fashion Center. I was not aware that they had moved about half a mile west to Corbin. Apparently, they had moved nine months ago. I am not sure if that was a good move, but I can see that space was a key issue. Located on Corbin and just tad bit north of Nordhoff Way in the Northridge Place Shopping Plaza, you will find Rosie’s BBQ. Again, this was unusual for me to be at Rosie’s to see this BBQ place here. It won’t be the same since it was much crowded at the previous location. This visit was a family occasion. It was to surprise my mother that my Fiancé and I were engaged. We had brought along my fiancé’s mother as well for the suprise treatment. We had a 7:30pm Reservation through the Unilocal Reservation System. We were running a bit late and got a call from Rosie’s to make sure we were coming. Thank you Rosie’s for the follow up call. When we arrived, we had a reserved booth for us. However, the booth seating near the far left had a torn up seat cover. I hope they fix that soon since it has been only nine months at this location. Our hostess for the evening was Sylvia. She served us very well and even took our family photo at the end of the dinner. When we checked in, we got a nice little Unilocal offer: Free Rosie’s Famous Shreddies. I showed Sylvia and she got that order going. Shreddies are just really thin pieces of onion ringsWe all had three glasses of lemonade($ 2.49). Actually, they weren’t glasses. They were mason jars. That’s the Rosie’s classic I was familiar with. However, I thought they were short and fat versus the tall and slender versions. Maybe times have changed. I did order an appetizer for myself. I ordered a cup Chicken Tortilla Soup($ 3.95). Rosie’s serves all types of tastes, but majorly accommodates those who love eating red meat. For those who aren’t into that scene Rosie’s does have seafood and salad. There is a salad bar or you can choose many different variations of the Rosie’s salads. With the Free Shreddies coming our way, we were brought some complimenary garlic bread. OK, I think I am going to get full based off of how large the portions are. Look at the picture of a Shreddies, its HUGE! I forgot what the rest of the party had ordered, but I remembered my fiancé ordered a Blackened seafood. Not sure if it was the Catfish or the Salmon. My mother ordered a half order of Rosie’s Slow-Cooked Chicken($ 13.95). While I… Well, I didn’t exactly order anything Rosie’s was famous for. I ordered the a full plate of Chinese Chicken Salad($ 12.95). While we were engulfing ourselves with free food, my fiancé and I looked around and noticed all the western décor that I probably forgot they had. From western boots to rooster statutes. You’ll see a lot of people digging into their food and a few others louder than the other parties. The manager stopped by to check our party out. My fiancé’s mother said that it was nice for him to do that. I got my cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup and it was very delicious. They filled it to the top and it had some kick to the soup. I loved the avocado slices in it. Then our food was brought out by many people like there was a show going to happen. My dish was a simple show. It was a simple salad, but it had a TON of ingredients. I thought I ordered a full plate… not two-three plates of salad. It did lack a bit of the sesame ginger dressing that I was used to. Plus, the mandarin oranges didn’t taste quite right. Nonetheless, there weren’t many of them. The crispy wontons and the sliced chicken breasts did make some of it up. When you visit Rosie’s it won’t be memorable when you order a salad, but when you order a Tri-Tip or some BBQ Chicken, then you would remember that. After a decade, it was nice to pay a visit back at Rosie’s it was different at their new location. It seemed a little bit dead, but then we came at 8pm. I don’t know why they close at 9:30pm. They should be the type of restaurant to close at 11pm. With Rosie’s a little away from the heart of Northridge, I see major changes. I remember when Rosie’s was busy back at the Tampa location. Rosie’s does compete against the bigger chain, but does somewhat have that missing feeling of a BBQ house. Maybe play some country music or more smell of food on the grill. Unilocal…My passion is not to write my reviews, but to share my experiences with you. Take that journey and share your story.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update on this place but I’ve been several times in the past few months and I’m really happy with everything here. The service is outstanding, Nicole G. has been our server the past few times and she has been so accomodating and attentive. The food is always delicious. I tried their salmon for the first time tonight, as it was their Friday special($ 5 off the usual $ 20). I had my choice of blackened, bbq, or lemon garlic, i chose the lemon garlic and was not let down. I always am hesitatant to order salmon as it is dry at a lot of places but not at rosies, it was so flavorful and moist. Honestly, one of the best pieces of salmon i have had in a long time and a huge filet — 10oz! i will definitely be ordering this again. This restaurant really makes you feel welcome. The owner alaays goes around to every table to say hello. You can also add their huge salad bar to any meal for only $ 3! Salad bar includes mini muffins, garlic rolls, roasted spicy potatoes, and rice pilaf as well! This place really is a bang for your buck sort of place but the food and service doesn’t suffer because of that.

Decided to check this place out. We love BBQ and often hit WoodRanch or Stonefire Grill but wanted to try something new. The place looked busy had a normal 10 – 15 minute wait, not bad at all. Front of house staff looked very unprofessional in my opinion, waitressing staff looked presentable. Food was horrible. Flavorless! And both my boyfriend and I had upset stomachs not 30 mins after eating. Another thing that annoyed me was this was our first time there and we seemed to be forgotten. Lack of drink refills, we were given plates for bread, but no bread! Also, I guess when it’s your first time, not ours because it wasn’t offered to us, but it was to the other tables around us, free«Shreddies». We will not be back. I’d much rather drive the extra ¾ mile to Rodger’s Rib Shack up the road.

«Let everyone who enters as guests, leave as friends,» a quote that is not only written on the walls of Rosie’s BBQ, but something that they live by through and through. I have first hand experience with this as I truly felt like I left having met some awesome people who take so much pride in what they do. A true family owned and run business, if there ever was one. Where siblings manage the kitchen, dad and son greet the guests, and mom is in the back baking desserts on a daily basis. I was so impressed at how involved the entire family is in making Rosie’s BBQ what it is. When I first arrived, I noticed the old fashioned country feel, with the horseshoe bench and hunting memorabilia on the wall. Owners Richard and Richard Jr. gave us a run-down of their history and their vision for Rosie’s BBQ when they took over two years ago. Their idea is to serve BBQ from different regions based on who does it best in their opinion. For example, their pulled pork is done in a North Carolina fashion, while their tri-tip is done in a Texan style. To start off, we were served freshly baked garlic rolls. And to drink, we ordered two of their specialty drinks, Hawaiian Breeze and Tradewind. I recommend the Hawaiian Breeze because of the splash of strawberry purée they throw in there. Makes all the difference in the world. In order to try as much variety as possible, we ordered 2 combo plates, where each comes with two sides. The first Combo plate was baby back ribs, tri-tip, cole slaw and baked beans. Their baby back ribs and tri-tip are both slow cooked for 12 hours and then finished off on a mesquite wood grill to give it that nice smokey flavor. The ribs… delicious, and the tri-tip, probably the best tri-tip I’ve ever had. The meat was so tender and easy to devour, especially with that amazing smokey flavor. Ribs were smothered in their very own home-made BBQ sauce! Second combo plate was baby back ribs, beef ribs, cheesy garlic mashed potatoes, and cheesy mac and cheese(drool). Beef ribs, just as yummy as the baby back ribs, were juicy, tender, and meaty. The mashed potatoes and especially the mac and cheese are divine! Even though they are both carbs, I would still order them again and again. Dessert was a tough choice to make but we opted for the peach cobbler. I loved the texture of the dough, and loved how the dessert itself was not so sweet, because you got all the sweetness you need from the vanilla ice cream on top. The combo of warm peach cobbler with cool creamy vanilla ice cream, you can’t go wrong with that. All in all, I had an amazing experience not only with the food but more importantly the hospitality we received. I know that I’m planning on going back to try their other menu items like their lamb shank. If you’re ever in the mood for some BBQ, do yourself a favor and check out Rosie’s BBQ. Order their Tri-tip, which is beyond amazing, alongside their mac and cheese and you’ll be happy you did.

I’ve been going to Rosie’s for almost 10 years, since it happens to be my moms favorite restaurant. She absolutely loves the food here! Unfortunately, it is NOTHING like it used to be(when it was located on Tampa). Never mind the prices going up. That’s not a big deal, things like that happen, so that’s not a problem. I will happily pay more if it means making my mom happy. The service is a disaster!!! I remember at the Tampa location, the servers would greet us with a smile and chit chat with us. Mainly, because they knew my mom and how often she would eat there with her friends or with us. The only thing that literally brings us back to this new location is obviously my moms loyalty to the restaurant and Richard Sr. He is so nice and he always comes to say hi. Not just to us, but to all his guest that come to support his business. But why only 3 stars? One star because my mom really loves this restaurant, second star because we have been coming here for all these years, and the 3rd star for Richard. Why not 5 stars if we seem to like this place? I’ll tell you why. A particular waitress named Mara(at least, that’s what it said on our receipt). Whenever she is serving our table, we leave with a bad taste in our mouth. She is completely rude to us and always ignores us. I don’t know what the attitude is all about, if she is racist or something, I don’t know, but she really does a good job at making a PAYINGCUSTOMER, who has been going there for a very long time, feel like complete shit! I even called the restaurant and spoke with Richard Jr. I really wished I spoke with his dad, because he is just an amazingly nice gentleman and I probably would have felt better at the end of the conversation. The sad thing is, my mom will be back here next week, still supporting this business like we have been and that bitch waitress is still going to be there to treat us like crap. No one will have done anything to make this right. Maybe if this place went back to being the old Rosie’s it used to be, with an awesome staff that provides amazing customer service, they might be able to fill up more tables. Until then…

Twice I’ve been in for lunch in the last month and both times the tri-tip has been the most tender tri-trip I’ve ever experienced. Seriously, the meat pulled apart like the cap of a rib-eye. I cannot wait to go in again for the fresh salad bar that goes beyond lettuce and veggies. The new venue is also spacious with ample parking and much easier to access than that brutal Tampa/Nordhoff intersection. Cheers to the rebirth of Rosie’s!

Funny, we never ate at Rosie’s when it was in Santa Clarita and I’m sad we didn’t. Here we are down in Northridge shopping and the family decides on barbecue. The tri-tip is more tender and flavorful than Rattlers and Woodranch. We loved every side we ordered; garlic cheese mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, cole slaw, fries, shredders, and IMO to die for barbecue baked beans. Very attentive owner(Richard) and staff, truly exceptional. You will not be dismayed. My 8 yr old twins inhaled their food! Check this place out if you have never tried it.

Went here for prethanksgiving dinner woth friends party of 24 and we have an area reserved for us. We had a long table and no one bothered us to finish early so they can get more people in. We really enjoyed our food and each others company. Food was great! Me and my wife ordered the petit meal: chix and ribs. At the end of the night, server was nice enough to have our checks split individually which is rare for this huge party. But the gratuity and tax is charged as a party which we all split amongst ourselves. We each one went up to pay for our own orders. Awesome service! Great food and reasonable prices!

The physical layout of the restaurant was fine and the food was mediocre. You can tell based on the Unilocal reviews that the owner is customer-friendly, and perhaps this is why people add an extra star. The Petite Sample allowed me to try most of the traditional BBQ joint items: ¼ BBQ chicken, 2 baby back ribs, and 1 giant beef rib. The amount of food was good, the BBQ sauce was ok, and the meat left something to be desired. My two sides were the beans and corn on the cob. Disappointing. The Ranch Style Pork and Beans were served in a small ramekin with one small chunk of pork and tasted like store bought Bush’s baked beans. The corn wasn’t naturally flavorful and there was no added seasoning or spices(… and their Mac looks like Craft Mac and Cheese). I took a look at the salad bar, and it looked pretty basic. Not quite sure why Unilocalers are such huge fans. When it’s your birthday, they give you a free sundae, which is good vanilla ice cream with a ton of whipped cream and some chocolate sauce. It was good, but too much whipped cream.

Used to go here a lot when it was located on Tampa. Being an out of towner, but raised here, I know they had great food. My grandmother was home sick and really wanted some BBQ, so I called in an order for pick up. Everything went great, was to be ready within a half hour, awesome. When I walked in I was greeted kindly, settled the bill quickly, received my order and even was offered help out! Fantastic customer service! When I got back to the house and set out the food on the table, everything looked and smelled great! That’s when things took a turn for the worse. Here’s what my grandmother and I experienced: BBQ beef sandwich– smothered in sauce and lacking in beef flavor as a result. Peach cobbler– long hair in the breading. BBQ chicken– severely undercooked. Corn bread– hard as a rock. The mashed potatoes & gravy were very good and the Mac n cheese was divine! Also, those little garlic bread rolls are amazing! Though I am disappointed in the lack of care with how their food was handled, I am really hoping these are things that will be fixed in time as they settle into their new digs. I wouldn’t recommend this place in the near future, but maybe later down the line.

I usually order their BBQ chicken salad to go. It’s usually delicious. I usually have to mix the dressing myself. I was curious as to how it tastes when you actually eat at the restaurant. Well that was a mistake. First of all, it took 40 minutes for two half salads to come out. And then the chicken was so dry, it tasted like cardboard. Kind of like frozen chicken that’s past its serving prime. Then we just wanted our check. But our server was horrible. And after waiting eons for her to come to our table. I had it and went and spoke to the manager. He was comped our meal. Which was nice. But I’m sad about the salad. Because I was in LOVE with this salad… But the one they served me today was ugh. Me and this salad might have to break up now… 7÷28÷2015 — Decided to give this place a try yet again. But just wanted to place an order over the phone for take out. It took 5 times before anyone answered. And when someone finally did the young guy on the other line had to ask me for my number 3 times because he wasn’t listening the first two times. I asked for the manager because I didn’t want him to mess up my order and he hemmed and hawed until he finally went to get them manager. At which point I was put on hold for several minutes. Until some lady finally came on the line to tell me that the manager would be right with me. Finally spoke to him. He’s more than competent and he’s actually good at customer service. However most of the staff we’ve encountered either needs better training or need to be replaced. I cancelled the order. I’m done with this location.

The food is good, however the service is lacking. This is a new location. They moved from Tampa Ave to Corbin, same city just different location. I was seated to the rear of the location and not 1 server acknowledge me, non did they say anything. So I moved up to the front so maybe a server would see me and she did. So several issues I see, no communication, from the hostess to the server and most of all they can’t see you. There’s a big wall in the middle of the Restaurant, so the employees don’t no who’s seated. Training issue. The wall, put some windows so the servers can see or maybe some portable radios, so the employees can communicate 2015 Unilocal Challenge.071/100
