Really good burritos. I’ve been coming here since the 80’s and they are still good. It can be a little pricey but it’s worth it.

This isn’t the best place to get delicious Mexican food but when you are hungry at about 2am, it’s lucky that this place is open 24 hours. The service isn’t always the best. It’s often friendly most times but sometimes it seems like they just want to get you out of there as soon as they can. Other than that, the food is good.

Good portion, excellent pastor. True hole in the wall, after drinking kind of grub. Don’t expect anything fancy and you should be pretty happy with your meal.

There are literally hundreds of Mexican hole-in-the-wall restaurants in the San Fernando Valley. There are about 10 of them near my condo in Reseda. El Indio Azteca is one that I have been driving past since I learned how to drive in 1984. I finally made it in for the first time last year. It is small and dumpy but reasonably clean — more run-down than dirty. This is a CASHONLY place so plan accordingly. The staff have been both friendly or disinterested depending on the day. I tend to only get the Wet Burrito with asada and it is adequately sized. The quality of the meat is fine but has been dry on occasion. Overall this is an average joint; nothing great but it will do.

I came here because I was craving tacos and I remembered I had this place way back and it was alright. Well now I was wrong. I ordered some asada tacos and they were honestly gross. The meat was so dry. I literally puked everything I ate! GROSS I KNOW! Til now, which is the day after eating this, my stomach still feels sick. This is the hole in the wall joint people should stay away from. Never coming back here again!

My family and I love coming here and we love this place so much but the food has changed and the burritos have become smaller. Will give 5 stars when the burritos return to their previous size.

Is this the greatest food in the land… ah, no. But it’s very cheap, filling and I think, tastes good. Yes the meat can be a bit fatty, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing… lol… I like the machaca(no eggs), beans and guacamole — burrito, but I also sometimes get the carnitas tacos. You have to ask for the carrots/jalapenos and also it you want extra salsa. I like both the red and the green. Soda refills are $.50. i’ve never had ‘bad service’, but I’m friendly first. Always works for me… everywhere. It’s open late on Friday and Saturday. CASHONLY

The lady that attended to me was so friendly but I gave a 2 star review for a few reasons: No Credit Cards accepted and No ATM near by. I had to drive down the street to 7 – 11 at 1:30am(burrito craving made me do it). The burrito itself was just not good. I ordered a burrito de Asada and another de Carnitas. I had more beans then meat or veggies. :/Now I have been here in the past and ordered tacos which were delicious, but if you are looking for an amazing burrito, this is NOT the place.

I’ve never written a review on Unilocal anywhere else but the service and food at this place is so bad that I felt compelled to do so. How do places like this stay in business? The cashier was terrible. She told me it was cash only after I ordered. I asked her to make the food while I ran to ATM. Came back ten mins later and she told me the food wasn’t made bc she didn’t think I was coming back. I waited for the food took it home and it is hands down the worst mexican food I’ve ever had. The meet is hard, fat and smells. Even the Jamaica was nasty

First off, the server had an immense amount of attitude. My friend and I both ordered carne asada burritos but he ordered his with guacamole I didn’t. When we went to the pick up window my friend had asked which burrito was his and in which the sever replied«you both ordered the same thing, she wanted everything and you wanted everything so I don’t know.» We grabbed our food to go and ate in the car. We happened to forget a straw so we went back to get one, I asked if I could have a straw and once again more attitude. The server literally slid the box of straws in front of the order window, rolled his eyes, and said«they’re right here.» After we finally began to eat the burrito, it really wasn’t all that hot or even warm for that matter. It lacked taste and there wasn’t much carne asada in it. Due to lack of service I ended up getting the burrito with guacamole which I hate. So I wasn’t very happy. The only thing that was decent at this place was the salsa. Even the attire of the place was rundown and not very clean at all. Sorry Indio Azteca you disappointed me.

Had been super curious about this place for a while and finally got around to coming. Unfortunately the service was terrible. The cashier gave us tremendous attitude. Horchata didn’t taste right and when we kindly asked to exchange the beverage he rolled his eyes, got upset and then told us «no es mi problema.» Which translates to «that’s not my problem .» Pretty disappointing :(

Cheap food and fast service. The meat here is better than el indio on roscoe and balboa. The tacos are huge too, three will have you stuffed. The nachos have real cheese and the asada and adobada meats are good too.

Legit Mexican food at an even legit price. Also this place is open pretty late for you past midnight sluggers out there. By far their carnitas tacos are the best thing on the menu although the bean and meat burrito is a close second. They only accept cash so come prepared… o and the area is a tad sketch, so bring someone with you if you go late.

Sometimes«hole in the wall spots» are not a good idea, this being one of them. I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my mother. They had the typical authentic Mexican food you would expect at a joint like this. We ordered the carnitas dinner combo. Big Mistake! The meat was pretty much nerves and fat. Barf: X This is by far the cheapest meat quality I’ve ever seen. I should have thought about it twice when I saw how dirty the tables were and food smashed on the floor and no one there who seemed to care. One hour later my stomach was rumbling… you know the rest of the story.

I love their bean, meat, and cheese burritos! I crave these burritos and their delicious champurrado(a Latin American hot and sweet drink). While the place could be renovated and a bit cleaner, I do not mind because I can just take my food home to eat. Overall, great Mexican food at a really good price! I will continue coming here for sure. Plus, I believe they are open 24/7, to satisfy awesome Mexican food cravings whenever!

I first came here in the wee hours of the morning after some Black Friday shopping… You know, the year when that lady pepper sprayed other shoppers at Walmart In Porter Ranch. We were starving and my friend suggested we go here. The place is small that if you blink, you’d miss it. The restaurant has a few tables to eat, but is definitely not too clean when we were there. No matter, we took it back home to eat. I had a carne asada, carnitas, and chicken tacos with rice and beans. My friend had the carnitas burrito. The verdict is that the food is good, but the outside benches & tables were dirty, so I will have to give it a 3-stars.

This is where I, Burrito Snob, first fell in love. A solid 5⁄5 salsa packets on there food. Excelling in quality meat, plentiful cheese & guac, authentic hearty perfection. The #7 burrito with carne asada is my drug of choice. No B&R filler nonsense.

Good place to go to for cheap, authentic Mexican food. Everything tastes good, although the horchata I got last time seemed watered down. Like another reviewer mentioned, the place isn’t very clean, which is why I’m not rating it very high. Another downside is that it’s cash only.
