Great place to eat hot dogs… If that’s all your looking To eat. Fast and quick. best thing to do is eat your hot dogs while there hot right there on the spot, seems when you take them to go, they loose the flavor after they get kinda of get cold

The hotdog is worse than what I could buy at the store. The line was ridiculous. The only good thing, from what my husband told me, was the sauce/chili. Not sure what all the buzz is about…

I finally made it back out to Cupid’s yesterday. It had been so long, but the dogs didn’t disappoint. They were just as I remember them being — a hot with a snap, the chili, mustard, and onions all merging together for the perfect chili dog experience. I wish I didn’t live so far away, but maybe that’s a good thing. Cupid’s is a great chili dog, simple and unchanging. I love em!

By far my favorite chili dog ever… I normally don’t even eat hot dogs but I make an exception when it comes to cupids. Best chili EVER. I always get it with the works, with a cup of chili on the side. Yum

Cupid’s are great Chili Dog’s and while I was attending CSUN, my favorite place for a lunch time break. Their Coney Island sausage has a great snap when you bite into them and the sausage is seasoned just right. The sausage is nestled in a soft, warm, steamed bun with mustard, chopped white onions and crown with a special chili sauce, perfection.

Hot dogs so cheap I can’t really complain about much. The menu is pretty simple, they only serve hot dogs. You simply decide the toppings & whether you want a drink or chips. Pretty decent chili dogs & very inexpensive that I ended up getting two.

Been coming to Cupids for over 40 years, always a joy, love everything about. Until Now! My husband and I came to have our Hot Dogs. we don’t come very often as before when we were younger. So coming here is a big treat! What a disappointment! Chile was water down… The whole hot dog is the Chile. Before the Chile left you wanting more. Now the taste was horrible so sad. .bring back the flavor please! !

Welp… here goes the good, bad and ugly… Good: conveniently located next to CSUN, surprised they don’t offer any deals for students or market to them. I could only imagine the potential… More of the Good: Holy shitsnacks, been coming here for YEARS, love that it still tastes the same as I remember as a kid. The bad: Ha, your kidding me right? If you think this place is bad, then your taste buds are nonexistent and need some professional medical attention. Jk The Ugly: the guilty conscience inside my belly telling me I’m awesome for coming here but I gotta pay it back with an extra hour doing cardio… Well worth it! In my humble opinion, you gotta try it at least once. Highly recommend coming here!!!

Nice spot for a quick bite to eat. Service is quick. Plenty of parking, there’s a few tables outside to eat. I like the snap in each bite and the steamed bun. Not much more you can say, it’s simple and good. You gotta try it with everything and add cheese, it is so good.

This place is small and has a simple menu, but is pretty damn good! My boyfriend and I went there and ordered our food to go. He had 2 classic chili cheese dogs and I had the dog with mustard, onions, and relish. Omg! That hot dog was heaven! It was perfectly cooked and the toppings just added to the experience! We were on our way to dodger stadium, and these hot dogs were the perfect dinner at a reasonable price compared to what we would have paid for at dodger stadium. While it is conveniently located right next to csun, it does not have a lot of seating options for the many students that probably come down. I would suggest getting the food to go as it is definitely worth the trip!!! :)

What can be said about this place that hasn’t already been said. It’s possibly the heart of the SFV. I’ve been eating here since I was like 10(I’m 30 now)… I’m pretty sure it hasn’t changed or upgraded ever and still a very profitable business.

Having a try of this classic. Loved the works that come on the chili dog order. Got some plain dogs for the kids and they really enjoyed them. Worth the heartburn at my age.

The best chili I’ve ever had hands down. The hot dog is inexpensive, fast service and a great one may I add. I eat here once a week because I love their chili dog and chili itself above all the service is amazing. I recommend this place a 100%. Try it for yourself and let me know if I’m right or not. Because I guarantee that you would like it. :)

This is a place I have been coming to ever since I can remember. It is my all-time favorite Chili dog and I will explain why: 1) The simple, savory, red, gooey chili 2) The snap of that wiener 3) The texture of the perfectly steamed hot dog bun 4) The chief from Ace Ventura has worked there for YEARS! I really don’t know why I love these dogs so much when I know the following: 1) The chili comes in frozen bricks then mixed with boiling water 2) the onions for the dogs come pre chopped in a sealed bag 3) The chief from Ace Ventura has worked there for YEARS! All I know is that it tastes like my childhood and that still tastes pretty darn good! Of the several Cupids locations this one is, by far, the best.

Ordered two dogs(everything on it) had to buy a 3rd !!! The crunch of the dogs was so soothing with chile on top… The chili seems like a simple recipe but i must say very tasty.

5 stars but you must understand and agree to the following assumptions. — you like chilli dogs — you like chili, mustard and onions — you respect a dog that has a snap — you love a soft and spongy bun — you like chilli dogs So if you’re not looking for? kosher? dogs, ?rattlesnake? dogs, ?gourmet? dogs, etc. Come here. For $ 3 you get a chilli dog with mustard, onions, and a 25cent option for cheese. 2 of those and a medium Pepsi with crushed ice inside runs you $ 8. I love the runny yet slightly textured chilli. None of that thick red bean chunky nonsense. I love how the dog snaps. I love how the bun is soft like it was steamed. Okay so maybe this is not the most amazing chilli dog ever but when you have a itching then how can you be mad at some $ 3.00 crack! I remember the best and most amazing hot dog place was Weiner Factory in Sherman Oaks on Ventura and Kester. If you’ve been there or grew up there you would know. I still dream of that slaw cheese dog. Bastard land/building owner squeezing out a man doing God’s work aka serving holy weiners. If the owner of Weiner Factory is reading this trying to lurk through hot dog reviews, befriend me and we’ll open The Factory of Weiners. Also, go watch Ace Ventura before coming here. Maybe you’ll see the chief

These are by far the best chili dogs a person can eat. I make the pilgrimage within 24 hours every time I’m back in LA. The chili is savory and almost sweet. The dogs are delicious, with a nice crisp bite to them. I recommend a few dogs with everything(chili, mustard, onions) and cheese, and lately, sauerkraut. Then get one with ketchup, mustard, relish and onions as a palette refresher in the middle of the chili cheese dogs. Ugh. So flipping good. ***PROTIP: You can get a block of frozen chili to keep in your freezer or fool your family and friends on the fourth. Fer real.***

Just bought two hotdogs to go. Hotdogs were too chewy, could not eat even a single bite. Waste of money.

Cupid’s Hot Dogs has been a favorite of mine from the 70s. Maybe earlier, but that you’d have to ask my pop about! I remember as a kid, going to Cupids and getting their dogs. «Mom! No mustard on mine!» Since I left the Valley for snow ladened hills of Reno, most of the Cupid’s seem to have been bought and transformed. There are other Cupid’s that sell Kosher dogs, but I would bet you their chilli isn’t so good. I don’t know this for a fact. But I can tell you though, the Northridge store is original. Even the concrete tables I sat at was the same table that me and my folks sat at in the 70s! Nothing like stepping back in time. Now, it’s time to Unilocal about the dogs. I’m sure things have changed since the 70s. The dogs have gone up in price, the chilli may be different, but these are good dogs. Service is as good as you can expect. As my dad and I walked up to the counter and the lady behind the counter also walked up and asked what she can get for us. From the last time I Unilocaled about this place, they now had a bell on the counter to get the attention of the only person there. A great idea. From my first Unilocal to now, I added another star. Of course, the menu is quite limited and it’s what makes this place unique. Dogs and that’s it. You can order the Everything, like we did. It has mustard, onions and chilli and they do offer chips! This is a perfect haunt for the CSUN(California State University of Northridge) students. My dad made a special request of two dogs with extra mustard and mine I got normal. We ordered two drinks and within minutes we were seated and enjoying dogs with a casing that snaps when you bite into them, WOOF! The eating area to the right of the building is/was clean and well maintained. You may also get feathered visitors coming by, hoping for a bit of bread with that delicious chilli on it! The parking lot is surprisingly clean and free of graffiti! I actually felt fairly safe eating there! Imaging that and in the Valley no less! NOTE: Cupid’s never had indoor seating. Do not expect that. And, you are right next to a busy street. So, it can be noisy. I somehow remember the dogs being a darker, meatier color, but it was good nonetheless. If you’re in the«Valley,» you should stop by this Northridge store and grab a couple of dogs. I know, chilli is a personal thing. You may like it and you may not. But this place has been in business since 1946. They must be doing something right! Bottom line — — — — — — — — – Yes, I will be going back there. No, it’s not Kosher Yes, it’s a good thing I now live in Reno since my doctor would be yelling at me to stay away! Yes, you should stop by and wolf down a dog and Unilocal about it. I just hope you enjoy your dog as much as I did.

Simple, yummy, and cheap chili dogs/hot dogs. It doesn’t have a fast food like taste. Prepared with a little more love and grease ;)
