I ordered catering from Northside and was pleased with my experience. They were definitely priced the most competitively out of everywhere around and the food was all homemade. Chicken tenders were absolutely delicious and the pinwheel wraps were really nice. We got a large cookie platter which was basic Italian cookies and they were fine. Fruit platter left a little to be desired(mostly cantaloupe and honeydew). Ramsey was so nice to work with and really took time helping me figure out what we needed. Delivered for free and helped to set it up. All in all a decent experience if you’re looking for a no frills catering place. I would use them again.

I personally like this deli over the Northport deli. I think their food is a bit better, especially their salads. Their macaroni and potato salad are more then just macaroni or potatoes with lots of mayo. It’s sweeter and more flavorful. They make their bacon nice and crispy without burning it and their hash browns are nice and crispy too. If you do a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, get it with homefries because it makes it 10x better. Their sandwiches are really good and the staff get to know their customers and what they like.

I ordered catering for a graduation party and the food was mediocre at best. Good place for a quick egg sandwich or hero though.

Even with negative reviews I have still been going to this deli. It’s in a convenient location and I love that you can text your order in, yet every time I get home with my order it is never correct. Yet, I keep ordering hoping they will get it together. Even when I go in and place an order in person they just can’t seem to figure out which sandwich belongs to who and when they do they still somehow screw it up. Shame on me for giving them so many chances, I just didn’t think it was that difficult. I am finally done. Spend a few more dollars and go to one of the other local places, it’s money well spent. Their heros are hit and miss anyway. Plus you won’t have to deal with the miserable rude older woman behind the counter(Betty?). Trust me, just go elsewhere.

Decent deli for a good low price. But Northport deli has much better food for a little more money

They are ok. Rolls are to big for egg sandwiches, the cold cut sandwiches are eh, they could be fresher and thinner sliced. Personally not even close to being my favorite deli but better than most in the area, and way better than northport deli that is right down the road.

It is VERY hard for a deli on Long Island to get a good review from me because they all get compared to the greatest deli on the planet, SePort Deli in Setauket. I have only had breakfast at Northside, but I have had it many times, and they provide an affordable, consistent, and well portioned breakfast sandwich. That is the key to a good breakfast sandwich, it can’t be $ 6 with coffee(like at Andersens in Kings Park), it can’t be $ 4 but tiny(like at Edelweiss in Kings Park), nor should it be inconsistently portioned like at other establishments where you may get 2 pieces of bacon or a small piece of cheese. The eggs are always cooked right at Northside. My one complaint is sometimes you don’t get a melty piece of cheese, which is where Seport continues to reign as king — they add at least 2 slices of cheese and get it good and hot, wrapped in tin-foil to stay fresh. I would say if Northside could get that right consistently, I would knock ‘em up a notch. Coffee is pretty good, but not the best deli coffee I’ve ever had. Service can sometimes take a little time but never too long. It’s a pretty popular place on weekend mornings. The crew working there is friendly. Betty is the nicest lady on the staff, she rules! I have never had a sandwich from Northside but the prices seem reasonable, so one day I will have to give one a shot and expand my review to address this aspect. Overall, this joint is A-Ok.
