Service was really good the cashier knew his job and recommend things that were not on the menu in my favor im happy he did. Over all good experience on there part…

Haven’t been to Corner Bakery in a while and decided to try it again. What a mistake. Ordered the half sandwich(chicken focacia and tomato soup). The sandwich was incredibly small and greasey with only a couple small pieces of chicken. The soup was also quite small. For almost 10 dollars it seemed like a rip-off. Also had a cup of coffee which was diluted, with a lot of coffee grains floating in it. The cinnamon cake, though a nice size, was quite stale. Prefer McDonalds over this place… Will not return again.

Corner Bakery is a bit similar to other spots that are bread or bakery based but also thrive on their lunch and dinner fast casual business. In essence, the places have fine cookies and bagels but could just as much be known as Corner Sandwich, Panera Soup, CosiSalad. BUT I was there for the bakery part. I ordered a cheesecake brownie to go. The size was pretty big. It was just A-OK. The brownie part wasn’t cakelike or fudgey — sort of in between. The cheesecake part was a bit bland, did not taste much of cheesecake flavor or texture. It reminded me of the boxed mixes Jello put out for no bake cheesecake. I used to make those all the time as a kid. That was back in my Viennetta eating, Orbitz drinking, snap bracelet wearing days. The place was very narrow and long and busy but the employees were very efficient. Unlike McDonald’s they don’t sell breakfast all day(Oct. 6th). These older women next to me kept loudly asking for the breakfast menu and complaining they couldn’t find it while the cashier stared at them. I finally guessed aloud«maybe it was over.» True to it’s name it is located in a corner of the mall so accessible for the mall interior and outside.

About a 2 – 2.5: This Corner Bakery is located inside the Northbrook Court shopping mall on the 2nd floor; they offer breakfast items, salads, soups, chili, sandwiches, paninis, pastas, combos, and pastries. After some shopping, we decided to stop by to grab a quick lunch. I tried the Club Panini, which was a sourdough filled with smoked turkey breast slices, smoked bacon, white cheddar cheese, plum tomatoes, and mayo — this was extremely overly greasy, and the deli meat was just unappetizing. Since I opted for the sandwich and the soup combo, I chose their Loaded Baked Potato — this was thick and pretty hearty, with chunks of potato and topped with shredded cheese; this was the favorite of the two. The combo also came with a bag of kettle chips. I also tried their Hibiscus Lemonade, and this beverage was just not tasty, as it had an overpowering taste of tartness and perfume(not in a good way!) T____T The cashier was pretty friendly, and a number is given to you where the food is delivered to your table. The restaurant itself is kind of dingy and dark, and some of the tables and the chairs were not wiped properly. I think I’d probably just stick to their packaged Raisin Pecan Sweet Crisps, as those are pretty tasty and addicting! +Raisin Pecan Sweet Crisps +dark & dingy +located on the 2nd floor in Northbrook Court

First time visiting the Corner Bakery, and let me tell you it was a very good time. As I only stopped in for a bottle of water. My good friend whom I was with however, got a brownie. He talked so highly of it, I had to try it, being the good friend he is, he broke off a piece for me to have. A very good brownie indeed! Other than the food, the atmosphere was great accompanied by good music. The soda fountain was very clean and looking nice. The table was however left with a few crumbs, but that’s not a big deal at all! Great job to the employees, I will be returning soon!

My friend and I were really hankering for a sandwich while we were shopping at Northbrook Court. Corner Bakery it was! I’m not the biggest fan of Corner Bakery or Panera because I feel like consumers are forced to grossly overpay for the simplest things. I ordered half a salad and panini, which came with chips. What really turned me off was the metal taste from their cutlery – lost my appetite. On the plus side, they had great service!

I used to come here once a week for lunch. I went to the corner bakery in Arlington Heights at the end of april, and the food seemed off, but I figured it was just that location. After eating here at the northbrook location it is most definitely the food in general. All the food tasted bad. My salad’s lettuce tasted like it had been frozen. My daughter’s mac and cheese was sour. I don’t know if the company switched food vendors or cooking practices but I can’t justify eating that quality of food for that price. Two stars because the cookie was ok.

We seem to hit the Corner Bakery basically every time we are in Northbrook Court for whatever reason we have. It’s nothing fancy, but that is perfect for us with our daughter. Service is always pretty good, and the food is good. Prices are pretty reasonable too. It’s nice to have a reliable place like this in the mall, especially with so few quick options available.

Since when did Corner bakery become an affordable place for lunch? I came in here on an unbelievably cold day, expecting it to be dead. Nadda. I guess in Northbrook the thing to do on a horribly cold Thursday is to go shopping and have lunch at the corner bakery. The place was packed! I ordered a turtle or truffle latte(can’t remember), whichever it was it was very smooth and delicious. I also ordered bowl of soup and my total was about $ 8. Nice! My soup tasted flavorful and also very healthy. I got the Tuscan soup for the first time. While I was sipping my drink the manager came by and asked how my drink was. He was very friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and the pastries looked excellent. They had a menu for calorie counters and plenty of options for those who prefer very rich food.

Took my mom to this location last Saturday for a nice lunch! The food was delicious. My mom LOVED their coffee. She said she hadn’t had such good coffee in a very long time. Kudos to the person in charge of making the coffee. They’re all very sweet. We received courteous customer service. One of the servers(male Asian individual) was very sweet when he brought our orders.

This is the best option in the food court as far as efficiency, value, and food quality all go. My favorite thing to do is to get the half-and-half combo, with a half sandwich and either a cup of clam chowder(excellent) or the caesar salad. My favorite sandwiches are the Mom’s tuna or the California Grille panini… Both are great! Their vegetarian options are fairly limited, especially if you’re trying to go veggie for health reasons, since a lot of their menu items are pretty high in calories and fat. Still, if you’re looking for tasteless weight-watching dieteering, you can head next door to Subway and elbow-wrestle for one of the few spots at their very limited tables.

I don’t come here often, because of the inconsistent service. It has been pleasant at times, but usually the cashiers are impatient and cold. Last time I was here, I was standing away from the counter looking at the menu and the guy at the register, in a snarky and annoyed tone asked, «Can I help you?» I told him I needed a minute and he let out an audible grunt of dissatisfaction. A couple came in and stood next to me and again the cashier, in the same tone, asked if they needed help. They didn’t hear him, so he repeated his question, louder and even more aggressive. The couple still did not respond, so on his third attempt, the amount of disdain and contempt in his voice really pissed me off. I shook my head at him and walked out. Today, the cashier was plain and cold, but not rude. The woman who brought my order to the table, smiled and greeted me nicely. I had the All American Scrambler, which was simple, and did the job, but nothing to get excited about. I will only come back here if I’m having a breakfast emergency, and Starbucks is out of sandwiches. If there were other local breakfast options, I’d give this place one star.

This place is THEWORST. I work in the mall and have been going here on and off for the past 8 years. The service and food quality have drastically changed over the past few years, and not for the better. No matter what I order, it’s always wrong. So over the last year, I rarely order. I thought why not give it a try. it’s been 6 months… it’s an egg sandwich, how can they screw that up? Well, in true Corner Bakery fashion, the order was wrong. They didn’t put the tomatoes in my sandwich as requested. And my well done panini was soggy. Maybe I wouldn’t have been so annoyed had I not had to repeat my order four times to the cashier. So I walked my sandwich back, hand it to the manager type of guy, and he tells the cook it’s supposed to have tomatoes and be well done. He looked like he could care less about being at work, as does all of the staff. Someone else hands me my order, I return to work only to discover the EXACTSAME soggy sandwich now with a few tomatoes shoved into it. So now that 3 people have handled my food, I throw it out. Basically I could have flushed $ 5 down the toilet and saved aggregation and a walk. This place has NOCUSTOMERSERVICE skills. The workers look like they are in a torture chamber. Nobody smiles or even says hello. Next door the Subway sandwich workers look equally as tortured but at least they don’t screw up my food. I will NEVER eat at this place again.

So if you read my last update you know I was super frustrated with the service at Corner Bakery. But I want you to know that after the last few visits our service has been spot on and I’m thrilled to say they’ve really picked up the pace. I was actually contacted by a manager who gave us a $ 10 gift certificate and we’ve been back several times since. Thank you Corner Bakery for getting your act together. My sandwich has been consistent. My boys enjoy their pasta as it should be, and you never seem to forget the cheese on the side. My husband always gets his bread with his soup, and I have to say the guy behind the register never skips a beat. I feel like I can trust coming here time and time again, and it’s a good thing, because my kids are still super stuck on this place.

Went here for my lunch break today with a co-worker. The place was very busy, but the wait was short. I ordered the ½ sandwich and ½ salad combo. I had the uptown turkey without mayo. The sandwich was excellent. The salad was pretty good. I liked the dressing, and they didn’t use too much. Some of the lettuce was pretty wilted though. When our waitress brought the food, she forgot things 4 different times which was annoying. I don’t expect top notch service from a place like this, but it was pretty comical watching her realize her own mistakes time after time. The food was good enough to warrant 3 stars though. PS try their lemon bars if you are into that sort of thing. I think they are excellent, but you may need to share with someone(they are rich).

It’s just like all the other Corner Bakery’s around. Kind of expensive(for the type of restaurant) per usual, but it’s consistent.

Let’s start with the obvious: 1) This CB gets hella crowded during weekday lunch hours and pretty much whenever someone needs to feed during the holiday season. 2) This location is upstairs at Northbrook and can be super loud with the mall echoes. If you need a quiet place to work, this may not be the best bet. You can grab Wi-Fi, though. Beyond those two potential annoyances, I have a soft spot for Corner Bakery and appreciate many a tasty item and highly caloric treats that can be found here… like… –The California Grille panini, DC chicken salad, mixed field greens, Swiss oatmeal, coffee cake, and pretty much any other sugary confection that can be found in the case in front of you. Just do yourself a favor, unless you feel like punishing yourself, don’t look at the calorie count of said treats.

took the fam here for breakfast/lunch, but I was the only one who ate here. Too many surrounding temptations for the kids to choose from(i.e. subway and chinese). I got the anaheim panini with side of fruit and coffee. Fruit was good, coffee okay(dark roast) but for same price could of had Starbucks. Sandwhich was OK, not digging the sour dough bread(but I am not big on bread). If you have been to a Panera you know the setup, similar. Lots of sugary temptations and a fairly decent variety of food to choose from per the menu. I have not eaten anything else from here so can not say, but what I had was OK. Atmosphere outside in mall part was a bit loud and close to the doors so would recommend sitting inside for more quiet. Overall prices seemed reasonable.

Corner Bakery is one of my absolute favorite restaurants of it’s style. My standard order is the Chicken Pomodori Panini(I have been eating these for 7 years now) and the Roasted Tomato Basil soup is alright. In my last experience at this specific location(Northbrook Court), we watched the waitress bring out our food and carry it around, resting the tray on her shoulder. She had shoulder length hair and we were thoroughly disgusted with the fact that her hairs were draped across one of the pickles. I’m glad I took notice of this, because I informed my boyfriend NOT to eat his pickle. We didn’t say anything to her directly, but WATCHOUT for when waiters and waitresses bring out your food! A mindless mistake, but I certainly wouldn’t be putting food up near my hair when I know customers are watching! Disgusting.

BBLT. Yum.(the second B is for MORE bacon) Now that that’s out of my system… I was so confused when I went to Northbrook Court and couldn’t find Corner Bakery where it had been next to the movie theater. And at first, I was kind of annoyed by the new location. But, now that I’ve been — it’s a good move. Yeah, a little out of the way so maybe not as good for their business, but so much more like a regular Corner Bakery now. A place where one can actually eat and have an adult conversation without being right next to the constant shrieks of the play area of the mall. I don’t eat here often. I mean, have you ever looked at the calorie counts? Scary stuff. But every once in a while… man that sandwich was good.
