North End American Grill

Rode our bikes there for happy hour and grabbed a few drinks and apps. We sat outside and loved it. Food was good and drinks were cold. The older gentleman bartender was awesome and friendly. Will be back!

Waiting for a response from a message I sent this business:
Just wanted to let you know we were at your bar yesterday at about 6:30. After about 5 minutes standing at the bar and having other customers being served who waited less time than us being served another customer who was not with our group of 7 to say something to the bartender that we were patiently waiting. The bartender responded with «I know my bar and I know who had been waiting» and then served another customer who was waiting less time. This was the younger bartender who was working outside. Just thought I would let you know that you have employees who don’t have a clue how to treat their customers especially where I can just leave and stop at another bar steps away. The group of 7 of us ended up leaving and not spending any money or even acknowledged by a bartender except for the attitude that he gave another customer who was letting us know there were customers waiting at «his bar».

We come here often to start the weekend especially since they have a happy hour from 4−7pm 7 days a week. The food is always consistent and the service is always accommodating and very friendly. You can even sit at a table inside or outside and order entirely off the happy hour menu. We went recently with 12 people, ordered every appetizer on the happy hour menu ($ 54) and were unable to even finish all the food as the appetizer portions were so big. Typically an older crowd but definitely more released and friendly than the restaurants nearby. They also have live music (solo performers) that appear to be very talented. Great place to kick off any weekend!

I tried the Hamachi, a new addition to the menu, it was fantastic.

two hour wait at anglesea, so we came here. options are a bit limited for food in north wildwood, but should have gotten a hint when there was no wait here. Seemed nice enough inside but the atmosphere was dead. Typical bar/​casual food fare. Service was slow and while food wasn’t terrible, no one really enjoyed their food. The ribs were extremely tough and pulled pork sandwich was flavorless. Seemed like it could have been a great place for a meal, but was a major disappointment.

Indistinguishable from most chain restaurants.
The menu has all the bases covered. But those bases are covered in dishes that if you closed your eyes, would transport you to Applebee’s, TGI Friday’s, Ruby Tuesday, or any other chain restaurant you can name.
Nothing we had was terrible. Nothing we had was memorable or even delicious. The food is very average.
When you dine here, pretend you’re at your favorite chain restaurant, and you’ll be ok. If you expect more, you’ll be disappointed.

I can’t say enough about this place. It’s the best in that area of North Wildwood bars and restaurants. Had a terrible experience at the place a lot of people go in the area… (Think about it) but this has been good several times.
The drinks are good and reasonably priced. The food is really tasty. I’ve had sandwiches there along with many appetizers. Can’t say anything bad about it! And the patio is awesome. Nice people, good food, good drinks.

Can’t beat the happy hour specials. Appetizers are large enough for a meal. Indoor and outdoor seating. Service was excellent. Food came out quick and hot. Never had to look for our waitress. Most importantly, the food was great. BBQ Pulled Pork Shepard’s Pie was a great twist, with sweet potatoes!

Hostesses NEVER keep our reservation. I believe they are hired by their attractiveness, not their IQ. Food is mediocre. Sister had explosive diarrhea and ruiend our family trip to the boardwalk due to bacon wrapped scallops. Thanks a lot.

Great restaurant in north wildwood. Have to hit it at least once overtime I’m down. Great happy hour specials, different menu that always offers a great selection. Atmosphere is really nice and family friendly.

Great happy hour. 6.00 apps and beer specials. Waitress was great and food was delicious. We tried three types of wings: buffalo, teriyaki, and chili lime. Chili lime were my favorite. We also had the two types of fries, both were delicious. (Buffalo and pulled pork). The Nachos were huge for six dollars. The lobster roll and the shrimp Blt were excellent. We will be back.

Wish I had read the reviews before eating here! Gets two stars only due to the atmosphere and friendly service. Our table ordered Martinis which tasted horrible and had to be sent back. Ordered Penne Ala Vodka with Chicken, dinner was $ 25.00 and was absolutely horrible. I have never tasted a vodka sauce like this was bland tomato at best with a weird spice. What looked like a ground up mystery meat was placed on top and did not taste or in any way resemble chicken. The dish went untouched and was the absolute worst Penne vodka I have ever eaten. Only thing positive or half way decent was the fried Mac and Cheese. It’s pretty hard to
Mess that up though. Stay away from this place for anything more than Apps or atleast stay away from the Vodka sauce … Yuck.

This place gets 3 stars soley on their awesome happy hours menus specials.
Now unfortunately we arrived just after Happy Hour. And the prices for the food quality was not really worth it.
Husband got a rack of ribs … the ribs tasted like the premade ribs you get from the gorcery store that you heat up in the oven. Not a lot of smokey tast or for that matter seasoning either. The sauce was not great either. I should mention the cole slaw was horrible it had a bad after taste. It also came with sweet potatoe fries… the most soggy, unseasoned, sweet potatoe fries Ive ever had in my life. $ 23.00
I ordered off the appetizer section, the fried fish tacos. Over all it was ok, but the avocado that came on them was not even close to being somewhat ripened, like it was actually hard. And the fish was supremely unseasoned. But the slaw that was on my dish was so much bettr than my husbands plate, so that did add some much needed flavor to my tacos
Another issue was our server Steph… Steph was ver preoccupied with the party behind us, kinda just hanging around chatting it up not serving them in any way. I got her attention at some point asked her ther was Wifi availble. She said she would ask… few minutes later she comes out but didnt even tell me yes or no, she went back to her friendly table. She noticed at some point that my water was low, she said she would refill. Walked away… came back but with no water but back over to her table. Finally after our food came out she must have remembered.
Not great food, not great service

Wow, this place has shitty food. This would be at one star, but it is clean and the staff is friendly.
First, all burgers are frozen. The turkey burger is fresh though. I ordered that. Very underwhelming. Also nibbled on a lobster roll that was nearly impossible to fit in my mouth. It should be called a lobster bit roll because each piece was the size of my pinky nail.
Also had some sweet potato fries. It left a cigarette ash taste in my mouth. Thank god they serve booze.
Avoid this place if you appreciate good food.

Nice outside bar and good happy hour specials. We’ve been here several times for happy hour. We enjoy the outside bar seating area, though it is a little small. If you have a big group, you better get there early. The food is good, specials are good, and the staff is nice.
It can get a little loud, and they have a singer there from time to time (at least on Fridays).

Our server was very polite and quick!
We came during happy hour so it was half off drinks and $ 5-​$ 6 apps! We got every app on the menu for a group of us girls and we loved everything. My personal favorite was the buffalo wings.
Going back for dinner tonight. Can’t wait to try the entrees!

Look for the cute little VW beetle parked out front. Literally, right out front.
This review is based solely on the outside patio area. Didnt step inside except to ask for a table. Food is creative which is more interesting than other «regular» shore foods. And prices are still reasonable!
Put your name in for a table and have a drink at the bar if there’s a wait.

This is my third time visiting North End and I have to say I have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is very trendy, the drinks are delicious and refreshing (you have to try the Dougie Fresh), and the staff members are friendly and knowledgeable.
On this evening we visited to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We arrived around 10pm and I had a Landshark while the ladies each ordered a Dougie Fresh and a vodka tonic. The outdoor bar area is very nice on lazy summer nights with soft music and comfortable bench seating around the outer edge. Brendan is the bartender to have. The man will take care of you. It is a covered bar so rain or shine the outdoor section is open. A pair of TVs are situated just behind the bar and are typically playing ESPN.
Now, I have to confess that I have only eaten their burger. It was cooked exactly to order and all of the fix-​ins were delicious as well. The people that I was with also enjoyed their food very much.
My one gripe is that smoking is allowed at the outdoor bar. Personally, I hate smoking and it gives me a horrible migraine so by the end of the evening I was more than ready to leave the smoke behind for some fresh air.

I wish I could give North End American Grill a higher star rating, but unfortunately it just does not warrant it. Yes, the place is very nice inside and has a large outdoor patio with a bar. And that’s where the good news ends. It was pretty much downhill from there.
We stopped in on Memorial Day Monday, and they were clearly still trying to recover from the weekend. We started with a chopped salad, which was probably the best of the things we ate. But unfortunately, we didn’t get very far eating it because our main courses came out within seconds of the salad. That’s a big pet peeve of mine. My wife ordered the lobster roll, which she had been looking forward to all weekend, but alas it was very ‘meh’ and forgettable. I ordered a spicy burger special which was not properly cooked to order, was extremely dry, and had no spice whatsoever. Gah! How do you screw up a burger?
We were excited to see a new place open up in the area, but unfortunately it just blends in with all the other poorly executed restaurants that essentially litter most of Wildwood.

Great modern décor with a patio/​bar with live acoustic music on the weekend. We’ve been here three times, ate inside twice and on the patio once. The inside air conditioning is very cold. We actually asked the waiter on our first visit if it could be turned down and they actually accommodated. The service on each visit was good.
I have had two excellent meals and one so so. The highlights were the Lobster and Shrimp Fra Diavlo and the Lobster salad. Tons of lobster throughout both dishes and would recommend both. Had the Mahi Mahi on another visit and it was kind of bland.
Full bar with a nice selection of drafts. Happy Hour every day with half price drafts and a small plate selection. They also offer a $ 5 margarita special from midnight to closing so before the summer is up we might try to catch this one.
